Solution

The idea is to get 1 working adult game that supports Cardano NFTs and from there, build out a platform for indie game devs that are passionate about blockchain and adult gaming.

Problem

Cardano has a growing ecosystem of games but none of which covers the adult gaming sector which takes up a significant portion of gamers.

Cardano NFT integrated adult games and adult games marketplace

Please describe your proposed solution.

While I've mostly been shitposting these ideas on Twitter, there is a genuine marketplace for an adult gaming sector that I have yet to see in any Cardano project. In-fact, the vast majority of "adult games" (let's just call them porn games so we stop pretending) are just low effort card games with a few scantily clothed women or men and offer zero penetration or sexual interaction. This is half assed, and won't get any attention from the real horny gamers that populate the internet.

A prime example of a small company that was relatively ignored is the now popular Nutaku who basically had like a few hundred players back in 2015, and now have over 50 million registered players and have an annual revenue of 10 million USD. Or the Company Kagura Games who also launched in 2017 and have gained a significant portion of the adult gaming sector whilst having their own store and also selling on platforms like Steam and GOG. These games are also fully compatible with the Steam Deck that has now been setup to rival both Xbox and Playstation.

As no blockchain has openly embraced adult gaming considering the vast majority of adult products in crypto are useless grifters, I aim to personally bring this sector of the internet into Cardano.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

There are currently 50+ million users of Nutaku, 2% of all game sales on Steam are adult gaming based and Japanese adult gaming websites like j-list.org have millions of registered users + players. There in-fact exists several adult gaming communities (I can provide sources) that publish these games on indie platforms and have a cultish fan-base of their works.

While I realize that Kreate Platform is an indie artist platform and NMKR is also an NFT minting platform, neither of these scream "yes we publish porn games", thus don't really get the attention of the adult gaming community. The impact of onboarding these people and showing them that a blockchain ecosystem openly embraces their sensibilities cannot be measured. I would argue that it could bring in millions of users just from the mention of a platform that will accept indie adult game developers.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

Online sentiment, new members of the Cardano community and game sales in $ADA. I'm only asking for 75,000 ADA to give it a shot and see how much of an impact I can make in the ecosystem. Nutaku raised over 10 million USD in funding. I'm hoping to get 1 working game published on a store like Steam or GOG with Cardano NFT integration and will see what happens from there.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

The output will be weekly. I use my Twitter account like a diary so the community would actually get updates as they happen. If it sells and generates traction, we use the funds from sales to reinvest in another game and another, until there's enough funding to launch my own Cardano adult gaming platform.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

I've been in the adult gaming community since the early 2000's where I posted tutorials how to patch the hot coffee mod in GTA San Andreas. I've also published several steam reviews on the website and have begun publishing adult game reviews on my Twitter page often recommending it to other blockchain communities.

I'll send y'all receipts I pay developers and artists if that's what you wanna see. What I do with the funding will be pretty transparent.

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

When you start seeing Twitter metrics mention Cardano and adult gaming in the same paragraph and you see the volume of sales of adult gaming NFTs, that's all I can show you people really. Not sure if anyone has proposed this before or how to quantify adoption, but will certainly be posting news if we get collabs from famous adult game artists and publishers.

Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

First 3 months, get artist and game dev. Next 3 months, early alpha build hopefully. Next 3 months, beta testing to the Cardano community. Last 3 months, game release.

Please describe the deliverables, outputs and intended outcomes of each milestone.

Answered in previous questions. These are really repetitive…

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

I don't know. I'm only estimating that I can get this up and running with 75,000 ADA. I would prefer if the limit was instead 200,000 ADA which would account for some people who I want on the project, but I gotta make it work on 75,000 so I'll wing it.

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

There is no team. It's just me at the moment. I'm making this up as I go along.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

75,000 ADA translates to roughly 1.2 million PHP at today's rates. Senior game developer salaries in the Philippines is 50-75k PHP a month so at a low-ball, that's 600k to the developer and artists are about 30-40k PHP. so 400k goes to the artist. This basically forces me to deliver the project in less than a year as once I go over that, I don't make anything from this if it fails.
