Awareness of the problem:
- The Cardano ecosystem lacks a dedicated Web3 marketing and community building platform. This makes it extremely challenging for projects to reach users. To illustrate the point, consider this example (which may be slightly biased for comparison): New projects built on Ethereum or Solana can attract over 10k interested users within a month through dedicated marketing platforms. In contrast, many projects on Cardano take over 2 years to achieve the same level of traction.
- Lack of interest and active engagement: People who invest in projects largely get little value from sharing project-related information. The most obvious thing is that projects on Cardano have very few people reposting or commenting on important information. This reduces the accessibility for other users to know about the project.
- Many projects allocate budget for Airdrops to reward active users, but lack tools to manage their engagement levels, leading to inefficient Airdrops. Additionally, educating users about product usage is crucial, but building and maintaining an educational content platform is costly and time-consuming. Notably, Memecoin projects on Cardano attract a large number of participants to obtain Whitelist positions, but they lack engagement management tools for Cardano users, causing significant challenges and time wastage for these projects.
- Multi-chain Web3 community building platforms like Galxe and Task On mostly do not support connections to Cardano wallets, making it difficult for projects to create campaigns on these platforms. Therefore, to increase marketing effectiveness, we need a Marketing and Community Building platform for the Cardano ecosystem as well as for future partner chains.
Approach: Inspired by the two marketing and community building platforms Galxe and Task On have attracted tens of millions of people in the blockchain community to participate in the campaigns they create. These campaigns allow projects to create educational resources with tasks that guide users through their ecosystem, and they can also create tasks that require participants to follow the project, share, and interact positively to spread the word about the project to more people. We will create a Bamboo Connect dedicated to the Cardano ecosystem with the following features:
- Campaign Space: A webpage that displays all active and past campaigns with visually appealing images including logos, campaign information, rewards, etc.
- Event Creation: A scientifically presented table of the necessary elements to create an event for a project (with suggested guidelines). Includes logo, title, description, social media links, social media engagement tasks, question-asking tasks, text or image verification tasks, etc.
- Participant Management: Implement a visually appealing dashboard to track engagement levels using XP points and other relevant metrics, enabling project owners to effectively manage the campaign's participant community.
- User Account Creation: Allow users to create accounts through various methods, including social media logins like Facebook, Twitter, and Discord. User profiles must include a profile picture, name, Cardano wallet address, and social media links (Facebook, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, Gmail) for verification and reward distribution purposes.
- Reward Mechanism: The project will offer various rewards to participants, including ADA rewards, tokens, NFTs, Whitelist, and project roles. Bamboo Connect will have its own reward mechanism based on participants' bXP points earned from campaigns created on our platform. This bXP can be used for various purposes, such as receiving higher rewards in campaigns we create, unlocking special features of the Bamboo App - a mobile application that brings the Cardano ecosystem to your fingertips, or earning rewards when we generate revenue.
Attraction: Bamboo Connect will attract everyone in the Cardano ecosystem:
- Project owners: Projects that want to create educational content for the solutions they create or want to increase the visibility of the project on social media platforms.
- DRep: DReps can create campaigns to attract the attention of ADA holders to increase their voting weight. DReps will take commission from voting rewards or other benefits gained from having a large voting weight to reward participants.
- SPO: SPOs can attract more delegators by the rewards they generate within the campaign. Activities like ISPO are well-suited for creating on-platform campaigns that boost social media engagement and increase the number of delegators.
- User: The platform will attract members of campaign organizers' communities to participate in learning and supporting their campaigns. Additionally, the platform will also attract a large number of people who want to participate in campaigns for rewards.
- Other: In addition to Catalyst proposals, individuals seeking attention or community building can also create their own campaigns.
