WordPress (WP) is powering 455 million websites globally and this number is growing rapidly. There are many WP membership and content restriction plugins which except credit card payment but none of them is accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method. Therefore, we want to build Cardanosub - a Wordpress Content Subscription Plugin to help Wordpress website owners to monetize their services with following functions:

(1) Categorize the posts:

• Free Post: anyone can access the post
• Pay with ADA: Content creator can set the number of ADA that users need to pay to purchase the content.
• NFT Pass: This function requires users to own an membership NFT in order to get full access. Content creators can use available NFT collections or mint their own NFT collections using https://www.nmkr.io, https://www.jpg.store or https://cardahub.io.

(2) ADA Donate button

• Donate button is basically a button on websites to encourage giving from people who are already engaged with the content and feel more compelled to donate. Donate buttons are used on platforms such as Youtube, Google and even Facebook. Now, with Cardanosub, you can add Donate Button to any Wordpress website and earn more ADA for your content sharing.

(3) Other possible functions

• Pay for goods/service: You can use Cardanosub to your e-commerce website to sell your products or services and all the payment is ADA.
• Simple ticketing system: You can sell your tickets online and receive the payment instantly by using Cardanosub

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

Cardanosub is a proposal for the challenge of products and integrations. The plugin will offer more use cases to the Cardano Ecosystem in content subscription industry. Cardanosub will definitely has many great impact and drive more adoption in the following aspects:

• Onboard more web2 content creators and users to Cardano Ecosystem: The plugin is totally free for all Wordpress website owners. With detailed instruction manual (including videos), more and more website owners can use the plugin easily to monetize their services; therefore, more web2 users will be onboarded to Cardano Ecosystem.
• Increase the transaction volume: with the use of ADA as payment, NFT Pass function for content subscription or donate button, the transaction volume will increase accordingly.
• Showcase for the real application of Cardano Blockchain: Content creators and users are working directly and transparently with each others without needing to use third-party services thanks to blockchain technology.

• Project Milestones: We commit to deliver the product features within the timeline of the each milestone.
• Functional Plugin Completion: The successful delivery of plugin to WP Plugin Store with full functions and free download for everyone
• Number of downloads: After pushing to Wordpress plugin stores, we can measure the number of downloads for use. The more downloads, the more people know and interact with Cardano Ecosystem.
• ADA Usage: Monetizing service using ADA as payment will definitely increase the trading volume and liquidity.

We are open to share the progress of Cardanosub and get the community feedbacks through multiple channels:

• Social Media: We will regularly update the information of project, milestones through the our channels on Twitter and Telegram.
• Website: We will create posts/news in the official website to share the outputs of every milestone.
• Release of Plugin: After development and testing phases, we will push to Wordpress Plugin Store, so that everyone can download and use free of charge.

• Reduce the role of middlemen in content subscription industry: with Cardanosub, content creators do not need to use third-party services anymore, they can make direct income from their service or product.
• Enhance the adoption of the Cardano Blockchain: We aim to demonstrate the practicality of the Cardano blockchain in real-world application within the content subscription industry.

Agile methodologies will be applied for the development and implementation of Cardanosub. We will use iterative development and testing cycles to ensure that all features of the plugin work smoothly, and improve Cardanosub based on testing results.
