Problem

Turkiye is the 12th and North Cyprus is affiliated with Turkey they become even larger market for cryptocurrency [Chainalysis 2023]. Yet Cardano is almost non-existant in the market. Turkish and North Cyprus people don’t know much about Cardano, and the only content they can access in Turkish is investment advice.

For these developers, this means theydon’t have any Turkish resources to learn about Cardano developmentdon’t know much about Cardano and the opportunities within.

What is our approach on this problem?

As young developers eager to explore the Cardano platform, we've encountered a significant challenge: the scarcity of learning resources in languages other than English. Although we are proficient in English, many of our peers, including those with university education, struggle with the language. This language barrier limits their access to technical content and impedes their learning journey.

Recognizing this gap, we've decided to not only delve into the world of Cardano but also to document our learning process. By sharing our experiences and insights, we aim to do more than just enhance our own understanding. We want to create a pathway for others who face similar linguistic hurdles, making the journey into the realm of blockchain technology more inclusive and accessible.

This initiative is more than a personal project; it's a step towards democratizing knowledge and fostering a more diverse and inclusive tech community. As we embark on this journey, we are committed to bridging the gap between language and learning, empowering our peers to join us in the exciting world of blockchain development.

Solution

As new proprietors or builders, we hope to involve Turkish developers in the Cardano ecosystem through our project.In order to make this happen, we suggest:

• Create a Turkish Cardano community for mutual learning and development.

• Organize once-a-week learn-together workshops covering subjects like token minting, establishing nodes, and creating transactions.

• Make technical YouTube videos covering subjects like Cardano 101, transaction processing, node operation, wallet integration with applications, smart contract development, etc.

• Create a community Instagram page, where we will publish about all the significant Cardano news that occurred that week.

With 5 million users, or roughly 4.2% of the population (over 420 million crypto users), owning cryptocurrency, Turkey is presently ranked 12th in the world for Cardano usage. But even with the rise in popularity of cryptocurrencies in Turkey, Cardano is still not that well-known. Among other things, I want to build a community in Turkey by doing seminars, publishing Turkish content on YouTube, and teaching people about the technical aspects of Cardano. This will assist in drawing additional Cardano users, investors, and idea generators to the platform. Cardano will grow as a community in this way.

Meet our dynamic team of three content creators, each of whom brings a distinct set of skills to our Cardano community project;

Kaya is a 20-year-old developer who is now immersed in Cardano development. Their goal is to build on the Cardano platform, and they are excited to share their learning experience with the community.

Alper, 21, is an experienced YouTuber and developer with a long history in the field. Alper is ready to use his significant experience to promote Cardano through interesting and informative content.

Sude, who is 22 years old, adds to our team experience in both development and design. Sude seeks to contribute by generating visually appealing content to fascinate and educate the Cardano community, with a keen eye for aesthetics and practicality.

Despite our various backgrounds, we all share a same goal: to develop a collaborative learning culture within the Cardano community. Our unique journeys to comprehend Cardano correspond to the experiences of those we hope to attract. We hope to establish an environment where information is shared, questions are encouraged, and collective growth occurs.

We are not alone on this path. Chakhan, our advisor and Littlefish Foundation co-founder, adds a wealth of knowledge to our team. We will engage in workshops, conduct learning sessions, and guarantee the community receives useful insights into the Cardano ecosystem with Chakhan's supervision.

We are set to establish ourselves as the go-to hub for Cardano fans in Turkey and North Cyprus, thanks to our combined expertise, guided learning sessions, and the assistance of our prominent advisor, Chakhan. Let's work together to create a vibrant Cardano community!

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Many people create content and share it with their own audiences. What sets me apart is that I am a developer and creating youtube, instagram and twitch contents for a long years. Like many people in Turkey, I have also been affected by the traditional financial system. I adapt my skills to the behavioral model of this ecosystem. With the guidance of Çağkan Acarbay, I aim to be part of this ecosystem and contribute to the Turkish potential who want to be involved in Cardano, as well as benefiting Cardano and myself, in order to be a part of this mission of providing benefits and freedom.

Turkiye and North Cyprus is an untapped market for Cardano with a lot of upside potential. The lack of community hubs in Turkish and Cypriot, the lack of content, and educational materials results in Cardano being relatively unknown in this high potential market. This proposal asks for 15500 USD or 39K ADA to build that hub and make Cardano known in Turkiye and North Cyprus. It is a cheap buy to get into a large market
