Like many people, I’ve been part of the Cardano ecosystem for about four years now.
And do you feel that here are some of the friendliest, kindest folks you have met? I remember when first joined—it was tough, I had zero knowledge about both blockchain and Cardano, and while people here were willing to help, it was still hard to understand things.
Worse, we searched to learn but long blocks of text just didn’t work - and slide also.
Feel yourself there?
👉 And not only us.
👉 Not just in the blockchain.
👉 It happens to other fields too.
Nowadays, people can learn things easily by searching, especially by media content from like YouTube, or quickly learn with TikTok. But there’s a problem—most of the educational content about our Cardano out there isn’t just hard to grasp for newcomers, it’s also not engaging.
So three years ago, we started this project and still keep it up till now: It's educational video channel in the whiteboard form - Whiteboard Cardano channel
https://youtu.be/H-Tpkrs_ehY?si=wWBQcoNRvcC2bDaHOur mission is simple
—
> Make it easier for newcomers to learn about blockchain and Cardano, and attract them to join this awesome, friendly community.
And why do we choose Whiteboard and Animated visuals instead of other solutions?
I’ve always loved art, and believe it or not, I love rap and can even rap! My main job is as a designer, and one day I’d love to be an art director of a big project. That’s probably why I care so much about visuals—I know firsthand how much a strong visual can attract people to something. And that’s exactly why I became co-founder and project owner of this initiative.
But I'm not doing that for me only!
This kind of video can help a lot of newcomers who want to overcome problems when learning includes:
- Complex Concepts: Newcomers struggle to grasp Cardano due to technical jargon and abstract ideas.
-> Whiteboard videos simplify and visually explain complex topics step-by-step, making them easier to understand.
- Low Engagement with Text-Based Learning: Text-heavy resources are hard for non-technical learners to engage with.
-> Whiteboard videos use dynamic visuals and storytelling to hold attention and cater to visual learners.
- Information Overload: The vast amount of interconnected information in Cardano overwhelms newcomers.
-> Whiteboard videos focus on key concepts, breaking information into digestible lessons.
- Difficulty Retaining Information: Learners struggle to retain knowledge from traditional educational formats.
-> Whiteboard videos use visuals, analogies, examples, and stories to enhance memory.
- Lack of Real-World Context: Newcomers don’t always understand how Cardano concepts apply practically.
-> Whiteboard videos show real-world use cases to make the content more relevant and actionable.
- Accessibility Barriers: Existing resources are difficult for newcomers to navigate due to format and complexity.
-> Whiteboard videos offer flexible, easy-to-follow content that learners can revisit as needed.
- Limited Attention Spans: Newcomers often have limited time and attention for extended learning.
-> Short, focused whiteboard videos deliver essential information quickly and effectively.

So what is that product look like
Instead of 15-minute videos as in the past [you can check our 16 15-minute videos here], now we will deliver 3-minute videos for this project. These videos will be:
- 3 minutes long
- Simplified complex knowledge concepts with analogy, example, story
- Style of:
- Whiteboard with the example of Cardano native token - All in one standard
- Collage art with the example of DJED - SHEN Unique mechanism explained
- Storytelling with the example of "Catalyst working group storytelling"
- Or follow other concepts with the examples of Clips to support the dRep training course of Intersect
> Check our [video concept guideline here] to know more detail about the video we made

About the target audience
We are laser-focused on newcomers—the people who will have the biggest impact on the future of Cardano.
Why newcomers?
Well, because Cardano is not a meme. It’s a long-term player in blockchain technology, and if we can get more people to understand and join us now, it’ll help shape a future that’s better for everyone.
But, currently, there is a huge barrier between the blockchain industry and normal people. So this way can help them get into the blockchain and Cardano more easily, but also be less misled by misinformation. I believe the future of humanity will be more advanced than we can even imagine if more people understand and participate in Cardano.
But, how will we demonstrate or prove our impact?
—
We’ve been doing this for a while, and you can look at our numbers in our channel.
But honestly, don’t just take my word for it—judge our videos yourself. See how they could possibly engage and educate newcomers. And if you don’t feel it’s working, tell us!
We’re always open to feedback and ready to improve.
As for our numbers, I won’t sugarcoat it—we’ve been doing this without any funding and have failed to secure funds three times from Fund 9. From Nove 22, 2022 till now. We only focus on production without doing marketing and the numbers are:
- 370 hours of video watching
- 418 subscribers
So, now, our engagement numbers aren’t sky-high, but they do show something important:
- There’s a real demand for what we’re creating.
- People are engaging despite our limited resources.
Looking to the future, if this proposal will be supported by the community fund, we believe the following metrics will matter for the Cardano ecosystem:
• Reach: How many people can we attract to Cardano?
• Engagement: Are they staying engaged and participating in the community?
• Participation in Activities: Beyond just watching our videos, are people joining other activities we host to incentivize newcomers?
With the right support, we can scale these numbers and have a much bigger impact on the growth and adoption of the Cardano ecosystem.
