Solution

VALTE offers a secure, low-fee platform powered by blockchain, where collectors can easily trade, showcase, and manage their items while connecting with a vibrant community of like-minded enthusiasts.

Problem

Our goal is to reduce the app fragmentation of collectors who are forced to use multiple apps to manage their collectibles. These apps include social chats, marketplaces, inventory trackers, and more.

Valte MVP - Future of Collectibles on Chain

Please describe your proposed solution

VALTE’s solution addresses the key challenges collectors face by creating an all-in-one platform where they can securely buy, sell, trade, and showcase their items. Powered by Cadano's Web3 technology, it ensures low transaction fees, authentic digital ownership, and seamless trading with trust in every transaction.

Beyond just a marketplace, VALTE fosters a strong social community, enabling collectors to connect, share, and engage with others who have their passion. The platform also offers vaulting services for physical assets, gamified features for deeper engagement, and data-driven insights to help users make informed decisions.

We will spend the ada to develop an MVP app that creates the core of the app we want to create. Rather than the full marketplace experience, we will build it based on giveaways and inventory sourced via said giveaways. For us, this is a way to increase user adoption of a blockchain-native app without all of the challenges and headaches that users face on a daily basis.

The Cardano ledger will be used to mint NFTs representing the collectibles. These tokens will be used for trading and also for redemption. If an NFT owner wants the physical collectible, the person will burn the NFT and receive the object via mail.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

Main impact: prove that Cardano can be a blockchain that bridges the gap from web2 to web3. We want to show everyone that consumer friendly apps can be built on Cardano and encourage more to join the eco-system.

The native token standard is ideal for this type of solution. The NFTs can be easily traded using it instead of expensive smart contract computations. There is a lot of talk about tokenized real-world assets, and Valte falls into that market.

Yet, no one has created a killer dApp around RWAs. This means they remain a good idea but lacking execution. We think Valte can be that showcase of RWAs and Cardano's blockchain network.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

We already know it is capable based on our experience with Cardano. Our lead dev has done a lot of work with smart contracts and is comfortable with building an app on any blockchain. We also have been mapping our a successful path for 10+ months now and have a strong vision for how we will be successful after we finish building the application.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Milestone 1: 1 – Design the front end of the application

Milestone 2: 2 – Build the back and front end of the application in code with our team

Milestone 3: 3 —Set up the NFT minting service. It will create the token and populate the metadata based on the individual collectible.

Final Milestone: 4 – Launch a working app and start acquiring customers.

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

David Zastrow – Founder/CEO – has spent 4+ years in the NFT community across many eco-systems. He left his career to launch an investment fund that brought web2 investors into web3 technology-based companies and asset classes. Valte was always an idea that he thought would be brought to life because of blockchain and NFT technology.

Mark Smith – 20+ years in customer acquisition and go-to-market strategy. Mark has spent time at major corporations like Walmart and match.com. He has also helped some local startups in Arkansas that have gone on to raise millions of dollars and be very successful companies.

Anthony Fierro – 6+ years working on startups and 0 to 1 app development. He is a full-stack developer with design experience. He has also managed and hired several teams to bring an app from idea to completion on time and within budget.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources

Milestone 1 – 25000 ada – pay a web UX/UI designer to develop the application.

Milestone 2 – 50000 ada – pay developers to finish the application built on the front end and back end

Milestone 3 - 50000 ada to pay a Cardano developer to create an NFT minting script and integrate it with Valte's platform.

Milestone 4 – 25000 ada – used for customer acquisition and bringing users on-chain and into Valte.

No dependencies.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

RWAs remain a major promise for the blockchain industry. However, no one has been able to create a dApp that attracts tens of thousands of users, so despite their promise, RWAs remain a niche product in Web3.

The collectibles space is huge, and Valte aims to merge it with web3. This will bring more traffic onto Cardano and increase network activity. We are also bringing a new type of user, collectors, who will add to the existing base in Cardano.

The security features of the Cardano network merged with collectibles are an ideal use case. We aim to be the first viable example of this merger and grow both markets at the same time.
