With the upcoming overhaul and the development of Eternl v2 we want to prioritize multi-language support.

We will provide an interface that allows professional translators and volunteers to efficiently translate all texts in the application.

Eternl v1 currently has 3300 sentences with about 22000 words and we propose to add the following languages to v2:

• Mandarin
• Korean
• Japanese
• Cantonese
• Thai
• Vietnamese

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

We would like to expand Eternl’s user base in Asian countries, and an interface with multiple languages from this region will significantly help to bring them into the Cardano ecosystem.

Overall, we aim to support Mandarin and Cantonese, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Korean languages.

What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

This multi-language module will be part of the development of Eternl v2 and therefore depends on the success of that project.

The team at Eternl does not have members from East Asia. We therefore rely on community members to help us identify wrong translations.

Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

The development of Eternl v2 is a long, iterative process.

During that process, we will develop a user interface that allows professional translators and volunteers to efficiently translate texts into their respective languages.

The key milestone will be reached, if we release Eternl v2 with at least 3 of the 6 proposed languages.

Languages that are initially not included will be added within 3 to 6 months after the release of Eternl v2.

Developer cost: $10000

For the purpose of an efficient translation process, we will develop a specialized user interface.

Translations: $36000 (6 languages)

For an average price of $0,135 per word, 22000 words, and at least two translations per language to ensure the quality, we estimate around $6000 per language.

The team consists of Tastenkunst GmbH employees as well as freelancers.

If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

We might come back in one of the next funds to add support for other languages, like African or Latin American languages.

Each new language added to Eternl will add to the progress of this project.

What does success for this project look like?

This project will be a success if all 6 proposed languages are included in Eternl v2.
