Please describe your proposed solution.
Our solution addresses the lack of open community spaces for the Cardano community to connect, collaborate, and share ideas. By enhancing the weekly After Town Hall community event, we provide a unique platform for developers, enthusiasts, and ADA holders to interact and collaborate. This fosters the exchange of ideas, facilitates networking, and promotes partnerships within the Cardano community.
To measure the impact of our solution, we will track attendance, diversity of participants, collaborations initiated, and gather feedback from the community. Our solution empowers individuals, strengthens partnerships, and propels innovation forward in the blockchain landscape.
The community-led weekly After Town Hall runs open spaces for community members to present, discuss, explore and collaborate on ideas and projects since June 2021. Since then, sometimes funded, sometimes not, we are organizing and facilitating the after town hall spaces. The after town hall is a fully open and community driven initiative where everyone can sign up their own rooms, and have a space for individual use such as discussions, presentations, workshops and other formats.
Till date, we hosted 95 After Town Halls, over more than 2 years. Tho, Fund 9 did not endorse our ambitions to further build out the After Town Hall and with the pause of the Catalyst over 6 months we still took our sleeves up and hosted the events voluntarily.
This Proposal aims to enable resources to reward the After Town Hall operators, Caué & Peter for their work and to ensure that the After Town Hall has not to rely on volunteer engagement.
How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
Our proposed solution addresses the challenge of building a community-owned open-source ecosystem that promotes community building, networking, and provides a safe space for Cardano developers to engage and interact. By enhancing the weekly After Town Hall event, we create a platform where developers, enthusiasts, and ADA holders can come together to connect, collaborate, and share ideas, fostering a sense of community and collective growth within the Cardano ecosystem.
~ Shared Outputs of this Proposal ~
-
Community building: The After Town Hall event fosters a strong sense of community, allowing developers to connect, collaborate, and form partnerships, strengthening community bonds within Cardano.
-
Networking opportunities: The enhanced event provides networking opportunities for developers, enthusiasts, and ADA holders, facilitating idea exchange, learning, and collaboration, leading to increased innovation and growth.
-
Knowledge sharing and learning: The event serves also as an educational platform, enabling developers to share expertise, present projects, and enhance understanding of Cardano's technology and ecosystem.
-
Safe and supportive environment: The event prioritizes creating a safe and inclusive space, encouraging open dialogue, diverse perspectives, and constructive feedback, facilitating idea expression, guidance seeking, and collaboration.
-
Strengthening the Cardano ecosystem: The event contributes to the overall strength and growth of Cardano by engaging new developers, enthusiasts, and ADA holders, expanding the community and fostering a vibrant ecosystem.
The benefits of our solution extend to the entire Cardano community. Developers can find collaborators, enthusiasts gain opportunities to learn and contribute, and the community can discover new projects and shape the future of Cardano. By strengthening the ecosystem, we foster innovation, increase participation, and drive the growth of Cardano as a leading blockchain platform.
The event format is completely open sourced and copyable by anyone.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
We intend to measure the success of our project through a combination of quantitative and qualitative metrics that reflect the benefits it brings to the Cardano ecosystem. While some metrics may be challenging to quantify precisely, we will focus on the following indicators:
-
Attendance & Engagement: We will measure the number of attendees at the enhanced After Town Hall event as an indicator of community participation and engagement. Additionally, we will assess the level of interaction and participation during the event, including the number of questions asked, ideas shared, and collaborations initiated.
-
Collaborations & Projects: We will track the number of collaborations and projects that are initiated or developed as a direct result of connections made at the After Town Hall event. This metric will demonstrate the effectiveness of our solution in fostering collaboration and innovation within the Cardano ecosystem.
-
Community Feedback & Opinions: We will gather qualitative feedback from participants to gauge their opinions and satisfaction with the enhanced community event. This feedback will provide valuable insights into the perceived value of the event, areas for improvement, and overall community sentiment.
-
Community Growth*:* We will monitor the growth of the Cardano community by tracking the increase in new participants, such as developers, enthusiasts, and stakeholders, who join the ecosystem after attending the After Town Hall event. This metric will reflect the success of our project in attracting and retaining community members.
The measures we have chosen are realistic because they align with the nature of the project and can be reasonably tracked and assessed. While we acknowledge that some impacts, such as long-term productivity and growth, may be challenging to measure accurately within a short timeframe, we believe that the combination of quantitative indicators and qualitative feedback will provide a comprehensive assessment of the project's success.
In both the short and long term, the innovation brought by our project will positively affect Cardano's productivity and growth. In the short term, the enhanced After Town Hall event will foster immediate community engagement, collaboration, and idea exchange, which can lead to the development of new projects and solutions. This increased productivity will contribute to the growth of the Cardano ecosystem.
In the long term, the strengthened community connections and partnerships formed through the After Town Hall event will continue to drive productivity and innovation. The event will become a staple in the Cardano community, attracting more participants and facilitating ongoing collaboration. This sustained productivity and growth will have a compounding effect on the Cardano ecosystem, solidifying its position as a leading platform for blockchain development and adoption.
Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?
We have comprehensive plans to share the outputs and results of our project to ensure maximum visibility and dissemination of the impact achieved. Our approach includes the following strategies:
-
Documentation & Reports: We will prepare detailed documentation and reports that capture the key findings, insights, and outcomes of the enhanced After Town Hall event. These documents will be shared with the Cardano community, project stakeholders, and relevant organizations within the blockchain and open-source communities. A weekly report will be prepared and will be 100% available for any member of the community to verify that the project is going as planned and stay abreast of updates. This report will be made available on our channels, such as Telegram.
-
Online Platforms: We will leverage various online platforms to share the outputs and impact of our project. This includes publishing articles, blog posts, and case studies on relevant websites, forums, and social media channels. We will actively engage with the Cardano community through these platforms, encouraging discussions, feedback, and sharing of experiences.
-
Presentations & Events: We will participate in relevant conferences, meetups, and events to present our project's results and impact. This will provide an opportunity to reach a broader audience and engage with stakeholders, developers, and enthusiasts who can benefit from the outcomes of our project.
-
Collaborative Networks: We will actively collaborate with other projects, initiatives, and organizations within the Cardano ecosystem to share our project's outputs. This includes partnering with community-driven platforms, developer communities, and educational institutions to promote the benefits and opportunities that arise as a result of our completed project.
-
Research & Development: We will use the results generated from our project as a foundation for further research and development activities. The insights gained, lessons learned, and best practices identified will inform future initiatives aimed at enhancing community collaboration, event organization, and ecosystem growth. These results will be shared with the Cardano Foundation, IOG, and other relevant entities to contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.
By implementing these plans, we aim to spread the outputs and impact of our project over a reasonable timescale. We will ensure that the information reaches the intended audience, including the Cardano community, developers, stakeholders, and potential collaborators. By sharing our project's outputs and opportunities, we strive to inspire further innovation, collaboration, and growth within the Cardano ecosystem.
