Please describe your proposed solution.
Problem
Turkiye is a large cryptocurrency market, the 12th largest according to Chainalysis. Yet Cardano is almost non-existant in the market. Turkish people don’t know much about Cardano, and the only content they can access in Turkish is investment advice. There is no content about the fundamentals of creating wallets, sending ADA, PoS, and any information about how to get involved in the ecosystem.
This prevents Cardano from growing in this large market, establishing itself as a big player in this important economy.
Why I’m approaching it this way
As an 18-year-old developer trying to learn Cardano development, I have a hard time finding resources, especially in my own language. Resources about what Cardano is, how it works, the basics of creating a wallet, sending ADA are all lacking in Turkish. So I thought I could make such resources and share them as I learn about all of these things.
Solution
I will create weekly videos on Youtube covering a range of topics:
- Cardano fundamentals such as proof-of-stake, how Cardano works,
- Project Catalyst and how to get involved,
- Hands on videos on creating wallets, sending transactions, using tools like cexplorer, taptools, DeFi projects
I will share all this content on my Discord community and guide my content through interactions with the community. To grow the viewer count and the community I will share all content I create through reddit r/Turkey, twitter, threads, and other social channels to reach Turkish people who would be interested in getting involved with Cardano.
================================
- Host online workshops on my Discord server to educate interested individuals about Cardano development, Project Catalyst, and Ideascale. I will organize six workshops, each lasting about 30-60 minutes. The first three will cover Cardano, Project Catalyst, and Cardano development, and after that, I'll ask the community what they want to learn about and let them guide me.
- Create a Discord community for Turkish individuals interested in Cardano and encourage existing community members to invite their friends and acquaintances to expand the reach of the community.
- Actively participate in related subreddits and engage in discussions to raise awareness and attract new users. I will share informative articles, news updates, and project announcements in related subreddits, especially in Turkey.
- Promote my content on Twitter, Reddit, and other platforms.
- Encourage interaction by holding regular events like Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, workshops, and community challenges to provide opportunities for members to interact, learn, and contribute.

This index shows the cryptocurrency markets of developing countries. As can be understood, Turkey is a market with a very high development potential.
By making effective use of YouTube, Discord, and Reddit, I can attract new members, encourage engagement, and provide valuable content that educates, informs, and inspires the Cardano and Project Catalyst community.
Ultimately, my project aims to pave the way for future Turkish developers, investors, and aspiring individuals by preparing resources and videos that highlight the project's outcomes, valuable lessons learned, the impact on my understanding of Cardano and blockchain technology, and how my interaction with the community has shaped my perspective.
By doing so, I hope to contribute to the growth and adoption of Cardano within the Turkish community.
How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
How will this benefit Cardano?
Turkiye has a population of 80M+ people. It is a large market that is currently under incredible economic pressures. The Turkish population is looking for alternative monetary solutions, and so are very involved with cryptocurrencies. In fact, Turkiye is in the top 20 nations with cryptocurrency adoption according to Triple-A Crypto Ownership Data, Chainalysis Global Crypto Adoption Index, and Statista.
There is also a large technical, educated cohort of people who can turn the technology into products the population can use. Yet this is not happening, because Cardano is basically unknown here.
This proposal aims to start bringing this population into Cardano, to open up a new, potentially high growing market, including developers, new projects, investors, and users.
How does this address the challenge?
The challenge only allows students to apply. I am an 18 year old student.
The challenge aims to “Increase the number of student Catalyst proposers and blockchain engineers.” and provides examples such as “holding seminars, creating and translating content, forming a community hub, and so on.”
My aim with this proposal is to attract Turkish people, students, and young adults to learning about and participating in Cardano. With the proposal I establish the very base understanding necessary for these things to happen. Through creating educational content for Cardano basics, I will attract many young people and students to learn about and to build upon Cardano.
How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
I intend to measure the project’s success by looking at the number of views on the Youtube videos, and the number of participants in the community. Together, these numbers will provide the engagement of my project. In time, these numbers will translate into new Turkish wallets, new Turkish users of Cardano projects, new Project Catalyst proposals from Turks, and spreading Cardano in Turkiye.
In the short term, this will benefit to grow a community of Turkish developers learning and collaborating. In the long term, this will means products that serve the 80M+ Turkish market building on Cardano, and Cardano becoming more known in Turkiye.
Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?
All content will be shared on Youtube and the Discord community, as well as on Twitter, Threads, reddit r/Turkey, and other Turkish forums to reach as many people as possible.
