Sports Crowdfunding system attached to Funclub application based on Cardano chain

Please describe your proposed solution.

◆Reasons for approaching

  1. to get new ADA holders from the viewpoint of Sports fun
  2. to make an example of Cardano adoption by the organization/company with ongoing profitability
  3. to make an example of Cardano-based application development (in Japan) and by a strong Web2 company

In recent years, NFTs and tokens have been used in various services. However, at least in Japan, few services have adopted Cardano-based NFTs and tokens. Standalone NFT projects are emerging. However, there are only not so many examples of companies with a proven track record using Cardano-based tokens and NFTs. Ethereum uses smart contracts for all token issuance, token transfer, and NFT issuance operations. On the other hand, these actions do not necessarily require smart contracts on Cardano. For companies with a proven track record, transactions do not necessarily need to have smart contracts. In fact, various tools are already provided for installing smart contracts. In addition, Milkomeda enables the wrapping of Solidity smart contracts. However, there is still need for clarification that developing with Cardano requires learning the Haskell language. The biggest problem with Cardano at the moment is the poor track record of adoption by companies. In particular, there is need to be record of adoption in systems based on Web2 technology. This trend is particularly noticeable in Japan. On the other hand, Ethereum and Polygon have already developed NFT games with the cooperation of famous companies such as Square Enix. Because of these reasons, Ethereum is the most significant pioneer in smart contract systems, and the analysis that most of the current Web3 engineers are based on Solidity sounds plausible at first glance. However, it would only be possible for this theory to explain the rapid growth of Solana and Polkadot-based Aster networks, whose market capitalization is significantly lower than Cardano's.

One of the reasons for this is that there are no pioneers, so how should we develop the system? Also, should it be monetized? I analyzed it because I didn't know. I analyzed it because I didn'tdon't know. This is also a severe need for greater understanding of Cardano. For example, within the exchange, we have built our own system for token transfer operations. However, not all blockchain token transfers work with these auto-smart contracts. If you only operate with smart contracts, you will not be able to handle currencies that do not have smart contracts. Also, even if these systems are running, it is a great stress for developers that they cannot make detailed modifications to the original language in the debug state. Due to this situation, there are few examples of smart contracts even on GitHub, and the only information that exists is some trading systems and DeX programs, making development a very high hurdle for newcomers.

◆Our Solution

  1. We will develop a soccer team funding management application equipped with a cardano-based club token system and operate it as a real soccer team. One is to further develop the regional revitalization plan (Fund9 funded proposal 900125) that has been promoted by RANKET and Makoto Harada. A soccer team named FC Tokushima, based in Yoshinogawa City, Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, which is the target of this project, will adopt Cardano-based tokens and NFTs. This will strengthen the connection between Yoshinogawa City's local economy and Cardano.
  2. Development companies gain experience in developing Cardano-based systems. This project will be developed by Cloud Ace, a company specializing in Google Cloud Platform. Cloud Ace is a company with high technology in the Web2 industry and offices world wide. As a result of the spread of GCP in Japan, it has the top result, far ahead of the second place and below. This will enable similar systems to be extended to other sports teams and repurposing services. (We have already planned next stage) In the future Web3 implementation, if you want to implement Cardano, you can ask Cloud Ace. In addition, even in projects that Cloud Ace receives its own orders, if there is a desire to incorporate blockchain, Cardano may be proposed as an option.
  3. This project can revitalize regional revitalization, which is very important for the social implementation of Cardano. Furthermore, in this project, it is possible to provide leading cloud development companies with experience in developing Web3 systems using Cardano. This will be important for the future Cardano adoption strategy.

◆Project end-users aim

  1. Sports team fun
  2. the sports team, who wants to perform crowdfunding based on blockchain
  3. other companies to join Web2+blockchain (Cloud Ace company customer)

◆Project demonstrate outcomes

  1. the download number of the application (the system can be confirmed)
  2. the result of the crowdfunding
  3. (desirable) the similar application adoption examples of other companies (Cardano adoption numbers by other companies)

◆The uniqueness of this solution

  1. the project based on the organization/company with ongoing profitability
  2. From viewpoint of non-blockchain based system
  3. development by the strong Web2 company (Cloud Ace)

◆Why this is important to Cardano

  1. the adoption by the company/organizations already in existence with good performance is quite essential for the current Cardano status
  2. when our project is succeeded, it is easy to make other examples since a application development based on Cardano chain by non-Web3 company (Web2 Company) encourages Cardano adoption for other companies
  3. Since this project is related to regional revitalization (FC Tokushima home town is Yoshinogawa City, Tokushima Japan, where the Catalyst challenge was already performed), the Cardano image will be better at least in Japan.

Efforts to gradually improve this situation by disclosing information are necessary. The partner project proposed to publish Cardano information crypto magazine from the Japan popular publisher (Futabasha).

<https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/100450>

However, this is more is need to encourage using Cardano. Our proposal is that, if a company that already has high capabilities as a Web2 company develops a system based on Cardano and advertises it as a successful example, Cardano also become a research target for competitors.

And cooperation with the community is very important for the success of the project. It makes a lot of sense to create an example of a Cardano-based Web3 deployment. The developer, Cloud Ace, has offices in 10 countries around the world. This system development will also be carried out at Cloud Ace's Vietnam branch office. Therefore, this project can be appealed as an example of adoption not only in Japan but also in a wide range of countries.

In addition to these technical advantages, the project emphasizes that it is not a plan to start a new soccer team, but to create an application for an existing soccer team. Naturally, if this project is adopted, the soccer team and application development will be activated. However, the soccer team will continue to exist even if it is not adopted, and application development will proceed on a certain scale. Therefore, by adopting this proposal, we will be able to implement the plan immediately. In the future, we plan to provide it as a solution for multiple soccer teams, so if this trend accelerates, we will actively appeal to the sports world, which has not been popularized by Web3 companies, and provide a track record of adoption.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

◆This Proposal targets the goal of the Challenge

  1. to get New Cardano token holders by sports team application
  2. to make an example of a development Cardano-based application by a non-Web3 company, which will improve the Cardano development image to simple and easy.
  3. to make other Cardano adoption by other companies

◆Impact of our proposal on the Cardano ecosystem

  1. the result obtained from our proposal will encourage Cardano adoption from the viewpoint of both technology and image up
  2. the Cardano adoption by a leading cloud company should be important

◆The value our proposal brings to the Cardano ecosystem

  1. bring at least 3000-5000 potential Cardano token/NFT holders per Cardano application adoption
  2. (desirable) to make 2-3 other companies will use our application with Cardano-based tokens.

The benefits for Cardano from our project can be expressed by three viewpoints.

1

This project can revitalize regional revitalization, which is very important for the social implementation of Cardano. Such kind of good image is quite crucial in approaching traditional and large companies.

We have to recognize that traditional companies sometimes consider that blockchain itself is not accurate technology even though Bitcoin is a worldwide system. Moreover, Cardano's image is sometimes damaged by crypto media. We have to provide a counter-image for these FUDs.

Revitalizing regional areas through this project is crucial for successfully implementing Cardano and gaining acceptance from traditional and large companies. It is essential to address their skepticism towards blockchain technology, despite the global presence of Bitcoin, and counter any negative perceptions of Cardano caused by crypto media. Establishing a positive image becomes essential in approaching these companies and dispelling doubts or misconceptions.

2

The product of the project will be applied to a football club. This is the most popular sport in the world. The presence of Cardano in there will be powerful marketing to the crowd.

3

The other benefit of this project is to provide leading cloud development companies with experience in developing Web3 systems using Cardano. This will be important for the future Cardano adoption strategy. The company “Cloud Ace” is gradually growing and has exceptionally high skills. The Cardano entrance from Web2-based companies is quite important and necessary for the Cardano adoption.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

Quantitative/qualitative indicators to measure project success

  1. Unique user numbers (Download Numbers of the application)
  2. Total crowdfunding result by our system (and numbers of the persons)
  3. (desirable) total numbers of other similar applications developed by cloud ace

Since our project will release the application, which can be confirmed on the Google Store or other similar platforms, measuring the success is evident.

Impact on Cardano's productivity and growth in the short term

  1. the increase in new ADA or Cardano token holders without the Web3 market
  2. (desirable) to achieve Cardano adoption companies/organizations from non Web3 market.

Impact on Cardano's productivity and growth in the long term

  1. The collaboration with the “Web2” leading company will encourage new Cardano products since the Web3 services can not be established by only blockchain technology.
  2. to improve Cardano images, which is quite essential for Cardano adoptions since our project has both DAO/Dapps character and regional revitalization character.
  3. Since we already try to collaborate with popular Japanese publisher “Futabasha” Crypto magazine, we can appeal to these effects for not only for the web3 community but also ordinary traditional markets.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

◆Plan to disseminate project outputs

  1. On the Google store and apple market. (we are going to register our application)
  2. Report the result of crowdfunding at our HP
  3. give some interview report through Crypto Magazine in Japan

◆How to share output/results when project completion

  1. You can check our application on Google Store and Apple Market.
  2. We also share our information such as application stores, HP result and crypto magazine through Eastern Town Hall Meetings and SNSs

◆Directions for using the results obtained from the project for further research and development activities

  1. We will start marketing web3 application development for potential customers such as other sports teams or other companies who want to use both Web2 and Web3.
  2. Also start some consultants for regional revitalizations by Web3 (of course using Cardano chain)

The application product developed by our project will be used by FC Tokushima supporters. The total download number will be measured by download cite.

Also the total funding result will be informed on the Fortua or FC Tokushima homepage.

https://fortua.jp

https://fctokushima2016.com

Of course, the member of RANKET will be attending most of “Eastern Town Hall meeting”. If we get the result, RANKET will inform the latest results. We again emphasize that this project is based on the football team, which started in 2016. Collaboration with a long-life organization is essential for Cardano.
