Please Note: Since Fund12, we have been fortunate to develop our team to include full-stack front-end + full-stack back-end developers (just missing Cardano devs). With these exciting developments, we have begun work on fulfilling our objectives so we can develop this solution cost-effectively, which means less reliance on Catalyst. As a result, we have been able to re-negotiate the costs from the original quoted price for delivery. This means we need less than before, which frees up more for other projects. However, the funding is still required to enable us to complete the work efficiently, effectively, and to the highest quality.

This means that our core purpose is to elevate the prosperity and well-being of creative and artistic talent from developing and socially disadvantaged nations and districts. These are people who normally would not have access to the facilities to enable their talents and passions to thrive, let alone access to the Cardano blockchain and all the rich benefits that we are privileged to have, such as the unique technology and our passionate, and supportive community.

To enable this, the project seeks to build upon our existing MVP (that we launched in August 2022) and develop a music DApp that leverages the Cardano blockchain to establish transparent and efficient mechanisms for onboarding, marketing, and compensating artists. The DApp will allow users to discover, download, and enjoy a vast library of music of various genres and exclusive content while ensuring that artists receive fair compensation for their creative works.

The first encrypted NFT multimedia player on Cardano, which we launched in August 2022 as a significant portion of the MVP, will also be getting an upgrade to enable multi-chain playback of multimedia NFTs. This means that holders of Metamask wallets will be able to connect to the SoundRig player for free and allow them to experience what we are offering on Cardano, and discover artists that we're supporting from around the world.

The goal of our project is to improve upon the existing SoundRig platform by offering a secure marketplace that is easy to use for Web3 novices and veterans alike, where music can be bought and sold in a manner that ensures the security of content and provides an enjoyable experience.

This will be achieved by improving upon our existing proprietary technology to encrypt and decrypt NFTs. This allows us to protect the content on our platform much more successfully than any other Web3 project currently on the market from any blockchain.

Expanding our platform into a mobile Dapp will allow much greater adoption of music on Cardano as the music will then be much more portable. This is especially significant for places where relatively cheap mobile devices are more accessible than personal computers, such as developing nations.

SoundRig addresses a longstanding challenge in the music industry by empowering independent artists, especially those from underserved regions. Through fair compensation mechanisms enabled by Cardano's blockchain, artists gain economic independence. At the time of writing, we are on the verge of liberating young talent from relative economic poverty in Kakuma Refugee Camp by first educating them, and secondly distributing their music on SoundRig where they will have access to direct revenue from new fans through Cardano. Milestone 1:

Phase 1 Upgrades: Platform Interface and "Cryptd Playr" Optimisation - Months 1-2

• Deliverables: As illustrated in the Gantt Chart, we have acquired a small team that has already begun objective 1 to improve the website design and functionality. This means we do not require the funds for this part, an improved situation since Fund 11. However, the funds for Objective 2 are still needed to allow us to deliver an optimised “Cryptd Playr”.
• Outputs: Developed codebase, user interface designs, database structure, and optimised media player.
• Intended Outcomes: An improved media player accompanied by a reworked website, which allows for better UX and allows users to discover and enjoy music experiences on SoundRig.
• Measurement: Progress will be tracked based on the completion of key development sprints, successful deployment of the platform, and user feedback on usability and functionality.

Budget: $18,400/~55,000 ADA (Converted on Coingecko - 10th October '24)

Milestone 2: Artist Onboarding and User Acquisition - Months 3, onwards.

• Deliverables: Ability to onboard artists with completed profiles, curated catalogue of diverse music content, implemented marketing strategies, social media presence, and partnerships with music influencers.
• Outputs: Artists' profiles, promotional campaigns, social media posts, and artist release agreements.
• Intended Outcomes: Increased artist participation, growing user base, and a diverse collection of music content distributed to a global audience.
• Measurement: Number of artists onboarded, Cardano wallets created, user growth rate, engagement metrics (e.g., number of TUN3Z sold, user interactions), feedback from artists and users.

Milestone 3:

Phase 2 Build: Monetization and Revenue Distribution - Month 3, onwards.

• Deliverables: Integrated payment gateway, revenue distribution system based on smart contracts, automated minting (Cardano and cross-chain), objectives 3-5 on Gantt Chart.
• Outputs: Payment integration, accepting payment with more than 2 types of currencies, the ability to mint TUN3Z on at least 1 other blockchain, a revenue distribution algorithm, sales, and royalty tracking mechanisms.
• Intended Outcomes: Tools for artists to earn revenue from their music, create a fair and transparent payment distribution, and multiple monetization channels in an easy-to-use UI. This will be a true bridge for non-Web3 native users (Web 2.5).
• Measurement: Number of transactions, revenue generated, artists' earnings, accuracy of revenue distribution.

Budget: $29,325/~83,000 ADA (Converted on Coingecko - 13th October '24)

NOTE: Due to the significant reduction in available funds, and the change to this category compared to Fund12, we are focusing on only the essential tooling to launch the MVP. Other elements shown in the Gantt chart will be developed post-launch, with funds either from future grants/investments or our own revenue generation. We may then be able to make available our technology, such as our Media Playr, to the wider community.

The progress of the project will be measured based on the completion of the deliverables outlined for each milestone, the functionality and performance of the platform, the growth of the artist and user base, revenue generation, user engagement metrics, and feedback from artists and users. Regular evaluation and monitoring of these metrics will help track the project's progress and identify areas for improvement.

Final Milestone: Impact Measurement and Reporting w/ Sustainable ADA (Ongoing)

• Deliverables: Regular evaluation reports produced, demonstrating the project's impact and progress.

• Outputs: Conduct monthly evaluations of the project's impact on artists, the community, and the Cardano ecosystem. Collect and analyze data, and produce comprehensive reports.

Secondly, the technology we are building such as the multi-media Webs3 Player will potentially be available to other projects who wish to implement this feature on their platforms. This would require further funding to build a player that can be deployed as a licensed feature, however, we believe would be delighted to offer this as a service to enrich the experience of users in our ecosystem.
