[selfdriven|MAV100] An onboarding platform integrating education, real world assets and the Cardano blockchain.

Please describe your proposed solution

The solution will build on the success of the Catalyst Fund 10 Project “Student-Driven Demonstration of the Use of SSI and the Cardano Blockchain to Capture their Cardano Blockchain Skills” that delivered:

  • A working Level Up application
  • Skillzeb Based Learning Template creation
  • Student (Learner) on boarding
  • Learning-Partner achievement verification
  • SSI/On-Chain Assets

And the implementation of the MAV100 Community site based on selfdriven.community, with Cardano based authentication and community resource sharing and updates using the selfdriven ORG app - community.mav100.com:

The solution will be the design through to delivery of the MAV100 App as a product - creating an end-to-end member (user) experience, including:

  • Sign Up and automatic creation of Cardano wallet and SSI DID based on the selfdriven.id SSI framework, including governance.
  • Sign-in using the user’s Cardano wallet and on-chain SSI compliant identity tokens (“NFTs”)
  • Integrated learning system for member education and recognition of learning via issuing of “Octo” tokens
  • Ability to exchange “Octo” tokens for MAV100 tokens/membership.
  • Manage community assets
  • Allow members to view their own/cooperative assets (stored on-chain & on-cloud) and associated financials.

The product will also include the ability for other communities wishing to self-actuate i.e. run more of their own community infrastructure and learning to self-onboard - including:

  • Ability set up own or MAV100 sub-community
  • Create learning templates (based on skillzeb) using the Studio app

The product will be available at app.mav100.com.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

The project will have a number of positive impacts on the wide Cardano community, including:

  • Show how existing communities can use Cardano tech to self-actuate - run their own infrastructure etc

  • Validation of Cardano as a foundation layer to build nation & network communities on top off.

  • Generate Cardano wallets / transactions (network activity)

  • Engage and educate community members with a real world application that shows the value of blockchain through use.

  • A path to further exploration of the Cardano ecosystem including, DeFi, dGov and more.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

This project brings together two highly experienced teams with a track record of delivery and experience within the Cardano ecosystem.

Mark Byers (selfdriven Co-founder) is a qualified Engineer and has 30+ years experience delivering internet based high-grade solutions to market, including the vision to co-found the entityOS.cloud service in 2000.

Mark has been involved in the Cardano ecosystem since 2019 and has a strong technical understanding and involvement in community projects. Mark co-founded the selfdriven Foundation in 2020 which uses Cardano technology. (https://selfdriven.foundation).

Mark is a founding member of Intersect, a member of the Eastern Cardano Council, which holds on the Interim Constitutional Committee Seats.

Bence Lukács (selfdriven Foundation Co-founder) is a former sports trainer and school teacher with 10+ years of experience in Digital Education, Higher Education Organisational Development and building open learning and collaboration (infra-)structure.

Bence also researches Blockchain through the lens of social sciences, focusing especially on Openness, Open Science and DeSci.

At the selfdriven Foundation he is the Organisational Lead, managing projects and organisational operations as well as supporting the development of the educational frameworks. He is engaged in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) Cardano Community and an IntersectMBO member, participating in the Decentralised Education, the Decentralised Trust & Identity SIG and (co-hosting & attending various) Constitutional Workshops.

Damian Noonan (selfdriven Foundation Co-Founder) has over 20 years experience delivering technology projects as part of strategic transformation initiatives, with expertise particularly Salesforce, MuleSoft and its emerging technologies. As co-founder of recently acquired Tquila ANZ, Damian has experience in building teams and delivering enterprise solutions.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Milestone 1: The planning of the project and establishment of a project management plan, including risk management.

Outputs:

  • Project Management Plan Document

Milestone 2: Design and build of the application app.mav100.com.

Outputs:

  • App Design Document
  • app.mav100.com in Production

Milestone 3: The learning layer that will power the community education.

Outputs:

Milestone 4: The organisational layer, including community, membership and asset management - and revenue & expense management.

Outputs:

  • For existing MAV100 Leavenworth communities load all community assets into the Operations section of the MAV100 ORG App.
  • Upload associated asset income
  • Register associated asset expenses
  • Share asset information with members via app.mav100.com

Milestone 5: The economic and commercialisation layer covers tokenomics (based on the selfdriven octomics.io), community assets and associated financial management.

Outputs:

  • Design document covering MAV100 tokenomics based on the selfdriven octomics base “Octos” - i,e. Emission rates
  • Creation of associated on-chain assets e.g. Policies.

Final Milestone: And finally socialisation, including marketing, engagement & on-boarding with the existing MAV100 communities.

Outputs:

  • Engagement program to on-board Leavenworth community members using app.mav100.com/#signup
  • “Engagement/On-Boarding Kit” for use by community facilitators (also a skillzeb.io learning template)

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

The project team is high experienced and covers a broad range of skills:

  • Mark Byers (selfdriven Lead / Tech):
  • Cameron Smith (MAV100 Lead)
  • Collin Smith (MAV100 Team / Design)
  • Chris Geren (MAV100 Team / On-Boarding / Design)
  • Becky Geren (Socialisation / On-Boarding)
  • Callie Smith (Socialisation / On-Boarding )
  • Ethan Flansburg (School ASP Coordinator)

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The project represents value for money in a number of ways - including:

  • Creating a highly reusable model/product for on-boarding communities using information-platforms based on Cardano.

  • An effective way to on-board on mass to help with the growth of the Cardano network and associated transactional activity.

  • The MAV100 App adds a layer of Cardano on-boarding through application (user value) in the form of the Community Telecommunications Cooperative.

  • Establishes valuable metrics on user on-boarding to user wallet creation and transactions generation (network activity) ["the cost of on-boarding"]
