Please describe your proposed solution
The proposed solution will build on the existing well-established beHub web app* that is currently being piloted by a number of significant healthcare networks in Australia.
The solution adds a "Web3" layer to the existing “Web2” application as an incremental step to becoming more decentralised by using SSI and Cardano technology.
Creating a hybrid “Web2/Web3” application as a pathway to a full “Web3” application.
It will use the existing selfdrivenOS SSI & Cardano enabled Operating System & Framework.
Ultimately all the assets with the beHub healthcare network will have representations that can be self-managed using the power of SSI, the Cardano network and associated technologies.
The outputs of this solution will be open-source and serve as education for the wider community as a worked-example of how to transition a “Web2” information network to a “Web3” based information and identity network.

> The beHub platform serves as a source of truth for clinicians, hospitals, and health departments, particularly in countries with limited healthcare infrastructure, like the Pacific Islands. By consolidating medical device information, product data, and clinical protocols into common protocol and supporting platform, beHub ensures that all healthcare providers can access the same accurate, up-to-date information. This reduces the risk of errors due to outdated or conflicting data, streamlines procurement and usage, and supports informed clinical decision-making.
>
> For clinicians, beHub offers access to product specifications, training materials, and technical support, enhancing their ability to deliver effective patient care. Hospitals benefit from improved efficiency and communication across departments, reducing delays and administrative burdens. Health departments can standardise medical device usage and protocols, ensuring consistency in care delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
>
> In short, beHub bridges information gaps and improves care outcomes by acting as a reliable, unified platform for medical device management, empowering healthcare systems in resource-limited settings to operate with the same accuracy and confidence as those in well-resourced countries.
