[selfdriven] CardanoWallets.io v2 Upgrade

Please describe your proposed solution

Update the current cardanowallets.io website for community curated content, make it searchable, add support for wallet builders to update own wallet information and AI/GPT assistance.

  • Do initial update of the JSON representation of the current listed wallets.
  • Use JSON representation to make it searchable based on data schema and user-experience profiles.
  • Create a Wallet Builder Update Data & Collaboration App, including the forum.
  • Wallet Builder Update & Collab App will be SSI (Using Cardano Blockchain) enabled with "Logon Using DID" functionality.
  • Add API to access wallet data.
  • Add AI/GPT assistance (e.g. Chatbot)

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

  • Help developers integrate wallets with meta data on wallets (functionality) and icons etc
  • Help new Cardano users find trustable wallets, reducing the risk of being scammed by fake wallets.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

The selfdriven Foundation was founded in 2019 and the team is highly engaged within the Cardano community. It has a robust organisational structure.

Mark Byers (Initiator & Co-founder) is a qualified Engineer and has 30+ years experience delivering internet based high-grade solutions to market, including the vision to co-found the https://entityOS.cloud service in 2000.

Mark has been involved in the Cardano ecosystem since 2019 and has a strong technical understanding and involvement in community projects and presented at the Brisbane Cardano Summit 2022 as part of the selfdriven Project (https://selfdriven.foundation).

Mark is a founding member of the IntersectMBO Membership & Community Committee.

David Cannell (Data Collection) is an active member of the Cardano community and contributor to github updates for CardanoShield data and alike. David has extensive experience in IT systems and data structures etc.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Milestone 1: Initial update of the JSON (& JSON-LD) representation of the current listed wallets as per the current proposed data-schema.

Milestone 2: Use JSON representation to make it searchable based on data schema and user-experience profiles.

Milestone 3: Create a Wallet Builder Update Data & Collaboration App, including the forum.

Wallet Builder Update & Collab App will be SSI (Using Cardano Blockchain) enabled with "Logon Using DID" functionality.

Milestone 4: Add API to access wallet data.

Milestone 5: Add AI/GPT assistance (e.g. Chatbot)

Final Milestone: All functionality is complete, with a final report and how-to-use presentation.

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Mark Byers

David Cannell (Data Collection)

  • Active member of the Cardano community
  • Contributor to github updates for CardanoShield data and alike.
  • David has extensive experience in IT systems and data structures etc.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources

  • M1/ Collate data and create JSON representation of the resources currently @ https://cardanowallets.io: 10,000 ADA
  • M2/ Use JSON representation to make it searchable based on data schema and user-experience profiles: 7,000 ADA
  • M3/ Create a Wallet Builder Update Data & Collaboration App: 20,000 ADA
  • M4/ Add AI/GPT Chatbot: 6,000 ADA
  • M5/ API: 5,000 ADA

No dependencies

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

When entering a new ecosystem, it can be hard for developers & end users to get their bearings.

The quicker they can get an overview and start their onboarding, the quicker they can actively participate within the Cardano ecosystem and work on or use solutions.

It is a small investment to help developers build and users safely engage with wallets.
