It exemplifies the potential of blockchain technology in fostering transparency, traceability, and trust, ultimately leading to meaningful change” - Dr Mihaela Ulieru
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
With the idea taking shape since 2021, during 2022 and into part of 2023 Sustainable ADA undertook a great journey in creating the very first Cardano Impact Report 2023 “Recalibrating Value, Identity & Impact Through the Blockchain”.
Based on our trackrecord and ability to create this type of content.
We propose to create a research paper based on Cardano. A comprehensive publication that aims to capture and showcase the positive impact generated by the Cardano community, and especially the unsung heroes who deserve a spotlight. But having a more professional and scientific approach.
Who will benefit?
“For those who are not in the Cardano community, this report is not just about Cardano. This is about an awakening to the wider global issues we face today, and a clear call to action, that our time has come to address these issues, head on. The report offers a path forward towards a sustainable and equitable future. By engaging with the innovative projects and initiatives presented here, you can also contribute to positive change and find solutions to the complex issues that burden our world, and at a minimum get inspiration to create your own projects, wherever you are in the world, and you can count on our community to guide you.” - Dr Mihaela Ulieru, Blockchain Pioneer, President at IMPACT Institute, World Economic Forum Expert and Chief AI Alchemist at SingularityNet
What is it?
The Cardano Impact Report is a comprehensive publication that aims to capture and showcase the positive impact generated by the Cardano community. It is designed as a book NFT (Non-Fungible Token) to leverage the unique features of blockchain technology, ensuring authenticity, transparency, and immutability of the content.
Why it's important for Cardano, the community, and beyond?
Some may say that today, we live in both, the best of times and the worst of times.
With forest fires recently in Canada, protests against injustice in Paris, and the planet heating up to unprecedented levels…the world is on fire.
Scientists have warned of worsening global warming.
The Earth is getting so hot that temperatures in about a decade will probably blow past a level of warming that world leaders have sought to prevent.
According to the United Nations, we are in a “code red for humanity.
BUT, it’s not all doom and gloom, and there are solutions that exist today.
-
The Cardano Impact Reports research paper will play a crucial role in highlighting and celebrating the social and environmental solutions and outcomes achieved by the Cardano community.
-
It shall serve as a testament to the transformative power of blockchain technology and its potential to drive positive change in various sectors, including finance, governance, sustainability, and social impact.
We believe that Cardano is making a step towards a world where new mechanisms of decentralized cooperation and consensus can start to replace the cheap-at-all-costs and business-as-usual structures that are degrading the world we live in.
The Cardano Impact Reports research paper will play a crucial role in highlighting and celebrating the social and environmental impact and outcomes achieved by the Cardano community. It serves as a testament to the transformative power of blockchain technology and its potential to drive positive change in various sectors, including finance, governance, sustainability, and social impact.
Community Collaboration
This research paper can be a collaborative effort involving active participation from various stakeholders within the Cardano4Good, Blockchain4Good, Web3, and Impact communities.
Sustainable ADA invites community members, project leaders, developers, researchers, and enthusiasts to contribute their insights, success stories, and expertise to make the research paper a comprehensive and inclusive initiative.
Track record:
In the Impact Report we were able to highlights 65+ Impact Projects
Sustainable ADA completed an in-depth analysis of the Cardano4Good community. We highlight over 65+ projects building within the Cardano and Singularitynet ecosystems, and those working to create a more equitable world for all through blockchain.
We showcased the values-driven approach of Cardano and its community's commitment to sustainability, regeneration, social impact, governance, and innovation. We highlighted projects that exemplify the potential of blockchain technologies and their ability to foster transparency, traceability, and trust, ultimately leading to meaningful change.
We featured artist and permaculture educator and activist Brenna Quinlan with cover art as part of our Legacy Edition Collection, and art within the report as part of our general collection. We also featured limited edition photography from our Sustainable ADA team to form part of the limited edition Legacy Collection (Cole, Affendi, and Razali).

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
Impact for Cardano:
- Research*, analysis and creation of standards, resources or documentation that bring either novel innovation to the ecosystem or* help with improving the education around what is available in the ecosystem for development or running infrastructure.
Our research will aim to serve the Cardano and research community, and address this challenge category by:
Bring new people to the Cardano community and activate current community members through engagement, education, and awareness raising and grassroots community involvement.
Solve a key problem and issue of addressing the gap in knowledge and understanding of the use of Cardano for real world impact, evidence of use case application and provide pathways for new entrants and existing Cardano stakeholders to connect with projects and resources that can support and accelerate measurable positive social and environmental impact in the world.
Awareness raising through education and prevention of FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) by arming stakeholders with a researched, free to access and accessible document.
Advocacy and Policy (holding companies, stakeholders accountable, lobbying for laws and regulation etc)
Direct Services with the use of this research as a resource that can be cited (eg: consulting, advice, community support, networking)
How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
Increase the number or quality of the standards, resources and research that make it easier for node operators and developers to understand the ecosystem and to improve the overall quality of the software being delivered across the ecosystem.
Through research that connects the dots in a multidisciplinary fashion, with a systems thinking approach, we envision that stakeholders ranging from node operators, developers, and others may come to understand the Cardano ecosystem in a deeper, and thematically diverse way. This, we hope will lead to development teams and projects having a consciousness of how their work and efforts can serve and contribute to the global mission of building an equitable and sustainable world.
Cardano and its technical community pride itself over the patient, peer-reviewed developed approach of Cardano. Let's tear down the barriers within this community through research driven dialogue, so that we may avoid working in siloes, and losing out from the wealth of innovative ideas and impact rippling globally from this distributed community of changemakers.
Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?
We plan to share the outputs and results of our project through various channels, including social media platforms, community forums, and the Sustainable ADA website.
We will publish regular updates of discussions held in Cardano for Good twitterspaces, and feature the achievements of the showcased projects. We will share updates on our milestones and increase marketing efforts to provide insights and encourage more participation in our educational content.
