Solution

This platform will enable asset owners to drive the process of verification using automated selection of verifiers and tasks associated, leading to issuance of NFT with the results of verification

Problem

Design and implement the UI/UX for a decentralized verification marketplace for real estate and integrate the same with Reitcircles ( a protocol to identify, verify and trade real estate globally)

REITCIRCLES: A decentralized verification marketplace for real estate - UI/UX + Frontend implementation

Please describe your proposed solution.

Image file

  • The solution proposes that the marketplace for verification will contain jobs/tasks created and published from the reitcircles platform when new assets are requested for verification.
  • Different players such as notary, legal verifiers, real estate agents and other players in the ecosystem, can register on the platform and request jobs to be allocated to them.
  • The job allocations will be done on the basis of different parameters yet to be determined.
  • Smart contract driven workflow will determine the lifecycle of tasks published on the marketplace.
  • The automation of tasks for verification will allow neutrality of different participants as far as verifying an asset. More than one verifier per task can be an option so that oracle based solution can be implemented.

The UI/UX solution will aim to create a set of user friendly flow that satisfies the above requirements (and more that evolves out of the same).

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

The proposed marketplace will now enable anyone to have their assets verified and NFT issued on the blockchain. This service can be used by different centralized providers such as title deed issuers, non financial banking institutions (who currently do not have any technology platform or the ability to create one themselves)

Since the problem of verification is common to many of the RealFi projects there is a scope that we can reuse many of the learnings from implementing this marketplace and even make common open source project out of this if required). A good UI/UX is key to adoption of this technology and we can certainly use this project as the starting point.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

  1. Adoption and Usage: An initial working UI/UX of the product that can be integrated into the Reitcircles platform and provide real world usage, no matter how rudimentary.
  2. Scalability and Performance: Once fully implemented the decentralized nature of the marketplace should allow us to scale this across geographic boundaries and even across different chains.
  3. Security and Integrity: The marketplace should be secure and since we are using wallet and smart contract it enables complex flows and multi user systems to be created in a secure manner and without need of a trusted third party.
  4. Community and Ecosystem: In the end we would like to have an engaged community around this verification marketplace.
  5. Real-World Impact: We aim via this marketplace to create jobs in the real world, where people with proper qualifications can engage safely to do verification jobs (in our case targeted to the different players like auditor, notary, government agents, real estate agents etc.) and have earnings in the process.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

  • We work on the principle of sharing what we use
  • Hence the tools that will be used for decentralizing the core features of the project will be open sourced.
  • That will include for example, integrating with different open source projects such as wordpress, by creating plugins that will help the increase of utility of the modules being developed.
  • APIs that will help other developers build on the platform will be kept open.
  • Also we will open source tools that helps us decentralize the platform using the SPOs

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Reitcircles has achieved the following milestones already:

  • A working portal with wallet based login
  • An onboarding module with document upload and review
  • Payment module for taking NFT payments and minting the same.
  • House NFT creation based on documents and smart contract based verification
  • Portal based chat communication between members of the platform.
  • Role NFT based access to the platform.

Our team brings in more than 40+ yrs of software development experience.

  • Antonio Hernandez-Garduno: Platform lead in Smart contract development who is a PhD graduate from Caltech, leading security solutions.
  • Malay Saha: Head of marketing and CEO of Reitcircles. He has been country lead of automotive operations for Isuzu, Hyundai, Carrier Transicold, and has more than 27+ years of marketing experience and leadership.
  • Nilay Saha: Worked in leading multinational companies such as ASML, AUDI, Hilti and extensive experience in banking. Has 25+ years of development, solutions architecture and technical leadership experience in large/mid size industry.
  • Huy, Vinh, Minh: Developers working on the platform (frontend and backend)
  • Giang: UI/UX lead

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

  1. Enable real world assets (in this case real estate) to be digitized using NFT : We work on principle of garbage in garbage out. So verification forms the pillar of digitization.
  2. Enable data ownership to the right set of individuals (data should be owned only by the owners of the assets): NFT as the source of truth.
  3. Reduce corruption in the area of real estate ownership verification: Data ownership with owners and verifiers acting independently (sourced by platform).
  4. Democratize process of verification : marketplace has to have enough verifiers registered and oracle based inputs leads to better judgement from the verifiers.

Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

  1. UI/UX design and delivery in figma so it can be used by frontend developers : 1.5 month
  2. Implementation of UI/UX frontend Angular application: 2 months
  3. Integration of the UI/UX with the backend and smart contracts / wallets: 2 months
  4. Testing of all the components of the frontend implementation: 1.5 months

Please describe the deliverables, outputs and intended outcomes of each milestone.

  1. UI/UX design: Output will be a Figma design of the screens required for the marketplace
  2. Frontend development: Output will be an angular module / component that supports the marketplace for verification and integrated into the existing marketplace for assets
  3. Integration with backend and wallets/smart contracts: In this the UI/UX has to integrate the flow with the backend and the smart contracts / wallets.
  4. Overall UI/UX component testing (unit + integration): Testing of all the frontend modules.

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

  • Nilay Saha: Worked in leading multinational companies such as ASML, AUDI, Hilti and extensive experience in banking. Has 25+ years of development, solutions architecture and technical leadership experience in large/mid size industry. Also a stake pool operator in Cardano running LKBH pool since start of Shelley.
  • Huy, Vinh, Minh: Developers working on the platform (frontend and backend)
  • Giang: UI/UX lead
  • Manas Dewan: He is currently the Co-Founder of Brand Kiln Pvt. Ltd. which offers full-suite Metaverse solutions in addition to Consulting, eLearning & Brand Solutions. He was earlier the Chief Operating Officer for the AJP Group, responsible for global brands like Shelby cars, Scomadi scooters & AJ Performance Studio. Previously, Manas worked with the US$ 5billion OTE Group in Oman where he was Chief Marketing Officer for the Group, responsible for 25+ global brands across Manufacturing, Logistics, Mining, Automotive (Hyundai, Cadillac & 6 auto brands), Consumer products (LG, Samsung, Bosch, & 10+ brands), etc.
  • Advisors:
  • Andrew Westberg: An active member of Cardano community and has provided key technical advices since the beginning of the project.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

We are a bootstrapped project trying to execute on a very lean budget, using hourly rates of 25 $/hr for all of the persons concerned. Over time we have developed a set of good processes internally that enables us to rollout a professional product that meets the highest goal of the industry.
