The Rare Bloom is a Cardano community event hosted in Denver, Colorado on October 14th and 15th. At this event, there will be speakers, booths, live music, hiring booths, a pitch stage, and an after-party.

The Rare Bloom will be the perfect place for people that are interested in joining the industry. There are multiple Cardano protocols and companies hiring at this event.

Everyone from the Cardano community should be able to earn value from this event. With this proposal, we will add a free live stream for the speaking spots at the event.

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

This event will host many products, dApps, and integrations on Cardano. It will allow them to network and build better protocols on Cardano in the future. Collaboration is key in this open-source space.

What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

Our main risk which could halt the success of the project is not being able to deliver Rare Bloom’s educational content at a global scale for the Cardano community. Our original business model was to coin Rare Bloom as the largest Cardano in-person and live streamed event. However, due to a multitude of factors whether it be the focus on physical ticket sales to benefit our partners/educators/attendees, budgetary priorities, and a focus for sponsorship physical presence, the streaming budget has been set to a lower priority than originally expected. The decision for this shift in priorities is based primarily on the counter-productive nature of pushing for a live stream, while simultaneously promoting a live stream. However, we thoroughly understand in this day and age the necessity for a live stream to share this unprecedented Cardano experience and the education content that comes along with it to the world, not only in the physical, but live streamed over the Internet.

The Rare Bloom event will be held in Denver, Colorado at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center on October 14th and 15th. This event will offer exhibitors the opportunity to market to retail, network with the largest protocols on Cardano, and to educate newcomers into Cardano.

We have already confirmed more than forty businesses that are building on Cardano as exhibitors at this event. Many of these exhibitors will do panels, speeches, and keynotes in the main stage area with over 1500 seats.

This event utilizes the Cardano blockchain. You can purchase your tickets in ADA or USD. Every ticket purchased comes with a NFT ticket, and one random NFT from our partner projects.

We are already contracted for the venue on the dates mentioned above. We have lined up decorators, security, shipping, and every logistic partner necessary for an event of this size.

Peyton(bigpey)- Pey has been a Cardano content creator since 2019, he's been in the community since 2017. He's interviewed Charles, Ben Goertzel, and many other great people in this ecosystem. He is also the co-founder of Bloom pool, who minted the 8th block on Cardano after Shelley. He is also the co-founder of Mycelial Gallery, a sold out NFT collection on Cardano.

On this team Pey helps with partnerships, marketing, and ideas.

If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

For Rare Bloom 2022, we will not return to Catalyst for further funding. This does however not rule out us returning for funding next year. The decision on returning for Rare Bloom 2023 has not been decided.

Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

We will measure live stream viewers, event attendees, attendee feedback/sentiment, booths sold, and hours of live stream watched.

What does success for this project look like?

Rare Bloom will succeed when there are multiple partners, projects, and relationships that are formed at our event that leads to infrastructure created in the real world.
