Purpose Built Philanthropic Social Club

Please describe your proposed solution.

The proposed solution involves creating a purpose-built social club hosted at a golf course in Southern Florida. The key components of your solution are as follows:

  1. Membership and NFTs: The club will consist of 18 founding members who buy into the club by purchasing an NFT for $4,000 (~13,000 ADA).
  2. Philanthropic Contribution: Each NFT purchase will allocate $2,000 to be donated to non-profit organizations, which will be selected through a governance vote within the club.
  3. Club Treasury: $1,000 from each NFT purchase will contribute to the club's treasury, ensuring funds for future club events and initiatives.
  4. Travel Support: An additional $1,000 from each NFT purchase will be allocated to assist with covering travel expenses for out-of-town guests invited by founding members.
  5. Golf Tournament: The 18 founding members will form teams of 4 to participate in a scramble golf tournament, with the option to play or not.
  6. Networking and Value Addition: Founding members are encouraged to invite individuals who can bring value to the social club, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
  7. Lunch and Charity Presentations: After the golf tournament, participants will gather in a ballroom for a free lunch. Three non-profit organizations will have the opportunity to present their work and mission for 5 minutes each.
  8. Philanthropic Allocation: Founding members will collectively decide, through a governance action, which non-profit will receive the grand prize of $18,000 and which two non-profits will each receive $9,000.

The proposed solution aims to combine social engagement, philanthropy, and golf to attract high-net-worth individuals into the Cardano ecosystem. It provides a structured approach for channeling funds into non-profit organizations and fostering a sense of community among the club's members.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community.

The project's positive impact on the wider Cardano Community includes:

  1. Increased Philanthropic Funding: The project will inject substantial philanthropic funds into the Cardano ecosystem, supporting its growth and development.
  2. ADA Adoption by Non-Profits: By encouraging non-profit organizations to accept ADA donations, the project expands the use case of Cardano's native cryptocurrency, promoting its adoption in real-world scenarios.
  3. Community Building: The creation of an exclusive social club fosters a sense of community among high-net-worth individuals who share a commitment to Cardano and philanthropy.
  4. Collaborative Initiatives: The club members can collaborate on philanthropic projects within the Cardano Community, amplifying the positive impact of their contributions.
  5. Network Expansion: Encouraging founding members to invite individuals who add value to the club brings new connections and expertise into the Cardano Community.
  6. Transparency and Governance: The governance actions within the club demonstrate a transparent and democratic decision-making process, setting a positive example for the wider Cardano Community.

The project not only mobilizes financial resources but also strengthens the Cardano Community by building a network of committed individuals and promoting the adoption of ADA for charitable purposes. It sets a precedent for philanthropic initiatives within the Cardano ecosystem.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

  1. Track Record: Clear Contracts has a demonstrated track record of delivering successful catalyst proposals, indicating our ability to execute projects effectively within the Cardano ecosystem.
  2. Thorough Planning: We have taken proactive steps to plan the project, including identifying potential venues and estimating associated costs. This indicates a commitment to thorough preparation and budgeting.
  3. Experienced Partner: Collaboration with a non-profit owner experienced in running similar events in South Florida adds expertise and ensures the project's smooth execution.
  4. Founding Members: Having already recruited 5 out of 18 founding members who are willing to participate demonstrates early support and commitment, which bodes well for the project's success.

To validate the feasibility of our approach, we will continue to:

  • Conduct detailed venue assessments and cost analyses to ensure the project remains within budget.
  • Leverage the expertise and guidance of our experienced partner to refine event logistics and planning.
  • Continue the recruitment of founding members and gauge interest from potential participants to meet the target of 18 members.
  • Monitor the response of the wider Cardano Community to the project's proposal and gather feedback to make necessary adjustments.

By combining our track record, thorough planning, experienced partnerships, and ongoing recruitment efforts, we aim to deliver the project with a high level of trust and accountability while ensuring its feasibility and success.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?
