Solution

We are trying to recognize pool groups in cexplorer.io for a long time (cexplorer.io/groups/). we want to continue this and make the data publicly available via api for free

Problem

Stakepool ownership transparency. We are trying to recognize pool groups in cexplorer.io and publicly provide outputs (for MAV calculation, analytics etc)

Please describe your proposed solution.

We have been manually monitoring pool groups internally for several years thanks to Daniel, Jaromir and others.

We want to provide the data publicly, as we know there are plenty of tools and groups that could use the data.

And as a result, this data will serve to make Cardano more decentralized.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community.

Pool groups data are useful for developers, operators themselves, and a myriad of services - from wallets to various internal tools and analytic tools.

Increasing (though never flawless) awareness of pool groups increases decentralization and transparency of whole blockchain.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

We are in Cardano since Incentivised Testnet and we have experience with recent Catalyst. We are building tooling and educating community since day one. We're not worried about not being able to deliver on what we define.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Data available

  • Provide json data file with manual and information, how to access, descriptions.

>Analytics

  • we will implement improved group page on Cexplorer.io

>Data maintenance

  • Update with time database.

>Working data

  • available pool group datafile
  • analytics page improved
  • community announcement

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Lukas Barta (CEO)

Josef Taborsky (PM, dev)

Daniel Ribar (long-term voluntary moderator of pool groups)

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

  • project management = 10 000 ada
  • social media, marketing = 10 000 ada
  • development = 30 000 ada
  • server costs, devops = 10 000 ada
  • reward for chief pool-group contributor 20 000 ada

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

Increasing transparency on decentralisation
