NFTPass V2I: Poll & Vote Features

Please describe your proposed solution.

Our proposed solution enables projects to verify community members through mobile for voting and polling

We will need to build 4 features to implement this solution:

  • user app scanning functionality
  • project based customisable triggers
  • poll and voting templates & submittal mechanisms
  • on the fly generator for polls/voting

Our unique solution will ensure that only verified community members can vote or even access a given poll or vote

Example use cases include live voting at Shillamania, in person event voting and crowd participation, project proposal voting mechanisms for dexes and daos on mobile

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

This app will drastically reduce response effort needed by community members to govern their protocols, and simplify data gathering process by DAOs after voting, to facilitate smoother operation and community collaboration.

This will greatly benefit Cardano by offering DAOs exponentially more options for their communities to participate in shaping their trajectories. And will enable DAOs to increase participation in voting by directly communicating with verified community members

This will be available for any project or community to use in-person or even for general voting purposes.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

We will measure success by the number of polls conducted by different projects using our solution

We will do this according to the following KPIs

  • Number of projects using our service
  • Total number of polls conducted
  • Number of polls conducted by different projects using our solution
  • Total number of responses received
  • % of eligible community members responding to polls

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

We will share the outputs and results of the project with reports and videos provided of works completed

We will be running our own internal tests before feature launch and then some real world community tests once it is ready to integrate.

With a project's permission, we will share the process, results, and effectiveness of the process

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Our team has already built the Alpha version of the NftPass app, from blockchain integration to ui development, we have experience in mobile development, blockchain tools and backend development.

We already have confirmed tests happening at this year's RareEvo, with aims to expand into other live events this year. As part of this release schedule we will be integrating tests for this and other features as they are developed.

Our team includes DAO developers, contributors to current community DAOs on Cardano and participants and members

With a strong team of experienced and successful individuals, our combined experience and skills will help us with everything from development to testing and expanding the business outside of crypto

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

The main goal of this project is to have a simple in app voting mechanism that can enable only verified community members (or attendees in the case of events) to take part.

It is feasible because we already have the community verification in place, we just want to expand to enable voting and polling to provide community feedback to projects and DAOs.

Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

We will be working to the following milestones:

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Rhys: Developer

Paul: Developer

Quintin: Sales & Project Management

Theo: Design, Animations & Marketing

Quazar: Marketing & Sales

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

Our product will help remedy the lack of ease of access to polling mechanisms which are easy to use for both the project and the community member, but most importantly easily verifiable to ensure participation is only for the desired audience.

We will release a provably verifiable mechanism for polling and voting of community members for DAOs to increase voting participation from their community.
