NFTMarket for Disabled-Dextroverse

Please describe your proposed solution.

Mouseware is the ONLY affordable solution ($ 200) in India that enables hands-free control of smart devices for amputees, people with neurological disorders, and people with hand fractures. It is a user-friendly head-wearable device that enable persons with disabilities to control all kinds of computers, smart devices (phones, tablets, TVs etc.) hands free with simple head movements. Our market place/DAO and “create your our own NFT collection (access token)” avenue will socially & financially empower persons with disabilities in multiple ways.

In order to operate Mouseware, the user need only to do the following;

A. Strap on the Mouseware headgear; B. Rotate their head to the direction the mouse cursor has to be moved; this enables the cursor to move around since such cursor is synchronous with the head movement via the headgear. The head tracking sensors track the user's head movements and transcodes them into corresponding cursor coordinates on the screen. C. The user can strap this small sensor box to an elastic band or to headphones or caps or even spectacles. D. Mouse clicks can be performed with any one of the following switches: Foot Tap switch, Finger switch & Microlight switch depending on the nature of the disability. A software-based Dwell click is also provided for users who cannot use any of their limbs to use the above physical switches to perform mouse clicks. E. Typing is performed with a Speech to Text engine that includes an Indian-English accent and all Indian Regional languages. The device provides complete access to perform all computer & smartphone operations, thus enabling the person with disability to be independent and actively participate in web 3 activities.

To Summarize

Goals

  1. To create a product “Mouseware” which enables persons with disabilities to control and operate smart phones and computers;
  2. To create an inclusive & participative marketplace or DAO for people with disabilities
  3. To integrate people with disabilities (whether total or partial disability) into the blockchain sphere by enabling them via tech and promote asset creation (minting NFTs, engaging in Metaverse, developing their own web 3 projects etc.), interaction, independence, empowerment (socially and financially) etc.
  4. Tackles the lack of inclusive design in the digital world that has resulted in PwDs owing fewer digital devices

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

With growing technology, job requirements across all sectors require computer operations. Job hunters today are actively pursuing computer-based works for multiple reasons. Persons with disabilities have a hard time pursuing career aspirations and better livelihood due to the lack of accessibility to tech (which in turn means limited reach to job opportunities).

The objective at present is to develop a solution to enhance the lives of persons with disabilities, by providing them an aid to seek better job opportunities and in turn, better revenue avenues. The device provides complete access to perform all computer & smartphone operations, thus enabling the user to be independent. Mouseware will socially & financially empower these categories of people in multiple ways. Disabilities are no longer a hindrance to operating gadgets; that unlock a huge amount of opportunities for them. Mouseware is not just about getting jobs or leisure. It enables them to connect online with friends & lifts their mental health to the next level. These positive impacts have been clearly observed during our BETA trials of the product.

Mouseware has the potential to improve the Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills of persons with disabilities and enhance their job prospects. It is a gateway to a much better life that bolsters their sense of empowerment. Mouseware tackles the lack of inclusive design in the digital world that has resulted in persons with disabilities owing fewer digital devices.

The solution addresses the challenge in the following manner;

A. Provide a new dynamic to the existing web platform which is more inclusive, integrative and accessible for persons with disabilities; B. Asset creation like music, artworks etc.; C. Participate in play to earn and explore metaverse; D. DAO set ups which enable persons with disabilities to kickstart their own web3 project; E. Creating the upcoming trends in revenue source more accessible to persons with disabilities via market place which would reduce interdependency. In addition to traditional forms of generating revenue, persons with disabilities may now tap into the potential of internet as a means of income; F. Helps enhance their mental stability and confidence. G. Helps reduces the usage of other assistive devices and assistants

What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

A. Problem: People might find difficulty in navigation via head movement Solution: Providing various interactive modules as a tutorial i.e., video games and hurdles.

B. Problem: Making persons with disabilities interact with web 3 applications eg. wallet setup. Solution: Conduct regular workshops to bring awareness.

C. Problem: Infiltration(security asset) of smart contract. Solution: Regular security penetrative test and security updates.

Note : We have experienced team to handle and we will be expanding our resources if the community grows.

Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

Current Status

A. The BETA product of Mouseware device has already been launched and trails have been going on. We plan to enhance the device and parallelly create NFT Collections, DAO and Market Place, which will engage persons with disabilities and NFT communities.

B. NFT collections:

  1. 25-50 genesis artwork done by Dr Nonita ( proof of work) and contribute the products via sales.
  2. 300 art works, music done by physical disabled person as a collective ( we can organise a meet up and run a contest using this devices)
  3. creating an 5000 access pass(PFP) for supports and community members and building Dao $ community wallets to support special artist and launch pad for project development.
  4. User friendly Market place integration for PWDS to sell their good which will be interconnected with reputed market places like Opensea and magic edien.

C. User Interaction

We conducted 25+ virtual & physical pilots across a varied pool of persons with disabilities.

For example, a bilateral amputee was unable to utilize a computer’s potential due to impairment led slowness. The Mouseware device has enabled him to improve his typing abilities significantly. The speech to text accuracy was highly appreciated by him due to the accuracy of the dictation feature. This has enabled him to attempt all examination questions within the set time frame by utilizing the precision of the Mouseware cursor(earlier, multiple questions were left un-attempted due to his inability to write faster).

Another user with multiple sclerosis (quadriplegic) was able to overcome the hurdles presented by devices when she began using Mouseware. Until 6 months ago, she had to navigate her smartphone with the movement of her nose since she is unable to utilize her limbs. The Dwell Switch of the Mouseware enabled her to create power point presentations, review documents, attend office meetings and carry out office operations of like nature

Future Course

  1. We are looking into various brain interface collaboration for development, enhanced operations and smooth product experience. For the same, we plan on collaborating with Rajesh Jagati, Founder of Skybrain neurotech.
  2. Once the community is reasonably well established, plans are afoot to create revenue earing games which would engage persons with disabilities via these devices.
