The main objective of NEWM is to provide a transparent solution to problems plaguing the music industry and "NEWM - Token Analytics Integration in cooperation with Xerberus" intends to provide more transparency and information at the public's disposal, for NEWM's Stream tokens, Music Distribution Service & Rights-Minting Platform, and music marketplace.

Artists, music asset holders, and platform users require comprehensive tools to navigate the world of music analytics, optimize their strategies, and leverage their tokens. Our solution is a comprehensive analytics platform specifically designed to meet these needs.

NEWM, generates assets (Streaming tokens, Music NFTS, NFT contract) and operates a marketplace whose underlying information is stored publicly as transaction data on the blockchain. This proposal's core idea is to adapt parts of the Xerberus Analysis system for creators, not just financial professionals. We plan to develop a suite of highly customized D3.js charts, useful for both Xerberus and the NEWM platform. These charts will be open-sourced, allowing other projects to utilize them as well.

Moreover, the tool will also provide access to a vast range of song-related data. This includes detailed streaming statistics, a geographic breakdown of listeners, popular platforms for streaming, user engagement metrics, and demographic insights. and as this information does not live on the blockchain we will need to partner with a few organizations and streaming service providers from our DSP services to provide accurate data in an understandable manner

However, the platform's features extend far beyond mere data collection. It integrates predictive analytics tools, enabling users to anticipate future trends, shifts in listener demographics, and potential streaming hotspots based on past and current data, collected from all our web2 partners and general analytical service providers.

The platform is intended to be equipped with robust reporting tools. These generate detailed reports on key metrics, streamlining the process of sharing insights and findings with team members or stakeholders.

Finally, understanding the importance of data security, our platform ensures all user information is kept secure and confidential. Strong encryption protocols are implemented to protect sensitive information.

Behind this proposal, there are two teams with a proven track record, each contributing their expertise to meet the requirements of the project.

NEWM:

Our team has consistently demonstrated a strong capacity to deliver complex projects with high levels of accountability, transparency, and adaptability as evidenced by our track record of successfully managing and executing Catalyst proposals, as well as quarterly NEWM Community Governance votes that directly affect $NEWM token holders, and strategic partnerships driven by community needs. Our commitment to meeting project goals within defined timelines and budgets sets a precedent of dependability.

A noteworthy accomplishment from our Fund 9 proposals was the completion and delivery of the Kogmios Library which allows Kotlin access to low-level Cardano blockchain data. That project was developed alongside our release of the tokenization and fractionalization contracts, allowing NEWM to tokenize music streaming royalty rights and fractionalize them for distribution and sales. NEWM is currently continuing development and enhancement of the original smart contracts using Aiken.

Our commitment to transparency has strengthened our standing as an accountable team. We maintain and nurture open lines of communication through all of our community channels, and support a culture of mindful listening where community members feel heard.

About feasibility:

To validate the feasibility of our approach, we will use a combination of prototyping, user testing, and continuous feedback.

Xerberus Labs LTD:

They have a remarkable track record in investigating and reporting on abused and stolen funds. Their research reports have garnered significant attention, with nearly 250,000 reads, and they have been cited by news outlets like CoinTelegraph and others for their reporting. Additionally, Xerberus has developed a powerful analytics platform that is actively utilized by the Xercher Community. It's worth noting that Xerberus is on the verge of making this platform fully accessible to the public, further showcasing their commitment to transparency and accessibility.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

  1. Research: This involves a comprehensive review of the required technologies for this platform – researching potential partners in addition to Xerberus for helping us out with off-chain data and research about various frameworks, libraries, and tools that can be used, and evaluating their feasibility based on factors like scalability, security, compatibility with existing systems, and ease of use.

Output:

  1. Research - Report: The findings will be compiled into a detailed report about the research conclusion, tools and methods expected to be used, and potential partners.

Partnering with outside entities is not a single-step process and will be continued throughout the project and some of the partners, service providers or tools may lead to incurring a one-time cost or subscription-based cost.

>1. UX/UI Design Draft: Create preliminary design mock-ups for the platform's user interface, including sketches of the platform layout, navigation menus, and visual elements. 2. UX/UI research: Conduct extensive user experience research to better understand user needs, preferences and pain points. This could involve surveys, interviews, and usability tests with potential users.

These UX/UI designs will be based on the discussions with partners, Artists, and research findings of previous stages.

Output:

  1. UX/UI Design Draft - Mock-ups: These designs will be guided by our focus on user-friendliness and simplicity.
  2. UX/UI Research - Report: Based on these insights, we'll compile a report that will inform our final design decisions.

Back-End Implementation: Our development team (or a partner’s) will start building the back end of the platform. This will involve setting up servers, databases, and APIs and implementing the logic for the platform's functionalities like data collection, analysis tools, and reporting features.

  1. UX/UI Design Finalized - Prototype: This prototype will provide a tangible visualization of the platform and allow for preliminary user testing.
  2. Back-End Implementation - Github: The progress will be regularly updated on GitHub.

Even though the front end is implemented we will be testing the tool prepared on select people and products and after the testing phase, we will implement the tool for general use in the last stage.

Please note that each line item includes overhead operational, product management & project management costs to coordinate the product development and for filling out forms and reporting milestones to the Project Catalyst F11 teams – due to the friction we experienced the last time we received funding. We used a conversion rate of 0.30 USD for ADA due to the high volatility.

As the ADA Prices during the submission and editing phase were floating around 32 to 40 cents, and since the general support of the ADA below these levels is 24 Cents we settled at 30 Cents Exchange rate which provides downward protection for the project and ability to continue it without compromising on the quality or security of the Team.

by quoting the partnership in advance we are taking an obligation to fulfill our promise even if the costs are higher than the current prices and saving the community risk of unforeseen price action or higher partnership cost.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

Focusing on mass adoption should be the main goal of the Cardano ecosystem to have a killer app that drives the musicians and fans to Cardano to be able to increase the overall usage of the Cardano ecosystem. Having a data analytic tool for this app is an additional feature that will drive the usage of this app and support the mass adoption of the NEWM ecosystem which will lead directly to a mass adoption of Cardano.
