Please describe your proposed solution.
Neuralprint is a novel brainwave-based authentication technology (patent-pending) that utilizes EEG and AI to identify brain states. The present proposal meets Catalyst Solution category guidelines, as a prototype-MVP is already public on Cardano blockchain (thanks to an inaugural successful and closed-out F8 project), which is using psychometrics to mint NFTs on Cardano. The present proposal aims to add brainwave data features (on Cardano blockchain) to the Neuralprint product to make it capable for various relevant use cases. This will be the first-ever brainwave-on-blockchain project, and it is being proposed here to be on Cardano.
We will conduct research analysis on key EEG datasets (which we already have) in order to populate Neuralprint blockchain-represented mind states. We will also cross-validate these with a consumer-grade EEG device to allow for greater mass adoption capability. We will offer these data(sets) in the form of "high-level NFTs", i.e. generalized NFTs that represent overall/average group-level (non-individual) brain states. This will form a key part of an architecture that then enables the categorization and analysis of blockchain-able human states at the individual level. This project is not about NFTs per se, but more about enabling the use of brain data in various use cases in other Cardano/blockchain community applications and future uses by Neuralprint, in a way that plugs the brain into web3. The final result of this proposal will be the aforementioned features to the Neuralprint product, the many uses of which will develop over time by Neuralprint and the community more widely.
The project lead is Dr. Gabriel Axel Montes, PhD, who has a an expert background in neuroscience, AI, blockchain, and consciousness research and practice.
This proposals comes on the heels of three directly relevant previous successful and closed-out Catalyst proposals (1 in F7, 2 in F8), all executed by the proposer. The present proposal builds upon previous work.
Proposer Achievements to-date:
- Neuralprint MVP created (F8)
- Neuralprint Patent-pending Status
- Pathform biometrics for consciousness development MVP (F7)
- Pathform enhanced with Neuralprint MVP (F8)
- DAOJob/Gov3: Cardano governance dashboard (F7 & F8)
See Successful and closed-out Neuralprint F8 MVP project for more background information about the present proposal, here.
Neuralprint MVP was added to the Pathform MVP prototype web app (which was partially incubated with SIngularityNET), as a result of closed-out Catalyst F7 (Pathform prototype creation) & F8 (Neuralprint integration into Pathform) proposals. You can access Pathform here and there are public discussions about it here.

About Neuralprint:
Neuralprint
Next Generation Biometric Identity, Authentication, Permissioning, And Security
<< Neuralprint technology is Patent-pending >>
Company Purpose:
- To Revolutionize Identity, Authentication And Security Using State Of Mind Technology (Static vs. Dynamic).
- Bringing The Mind To The Forefront Of Engaging With Technology.
The Problem:
Security Solutions Today Are Expensive, Clunky, Hard To Implement, And Aren’t As Secure As Advertised. They Also Suffer From A Lack Of Nuance.
The Solution:
Neuralprint’s System Is Unique, Fast, Easily Measurable, Inexpensive, And Easy To Install
Why Now?
Existing Systems Aren’t As Secure As Advertised. Ours Is. Static Today; Dynamic Learning System Tomorrow That Enables Greater Functionality.
Market Size:
The Global Cyber Security Market (TAM) Is $249 Billion.
By 2027, 50% of large enterprise CISOs will adopt human-centric security design practices. Cybersecurity threats are changing.

Anticipated R&D areas for determining the neural correlates of states of mind relevant to Neuralprint:
- Distinguishing music categories/genres, and identifying the emotions experienced during music listening, and distinguishing between familiar vs unfamiliar auditory stimuli;
- Monitoring attention to auditory stimuli, e.g. music and speech;
- Distinguishing movement synchronised vs. non-synchronised with ambient stimuli in the environment;
- Ad-tech: responses to key design elements ("primitives") used in branding and advertising;
- Signatures of exalted non-ordinary states of consciousness (benchmarked using EEG data of DMT psychedelic trip)

Risk mitigation:
-
Risk (1): Immediate hiring need. Our team is actively searching for a machine learning now. Due to global demand for AI talent and in order to attract suitable talent in a timely manner, we are offering (in the budget) an above-average salary. This will also help to increase the chances of keeping a strong engineer beyond the scope of this proposal.
-
Risk (2): Challenges in appropriate marketing reach.
-
We have budgeted for a social media in this proposal in order to begin building toward this goal from the beginning.
-
The proposer is a veteran member of and leader in the SingularityNET ecosystem, which has multiple projects with existing and expanding user bases that could be marketed to and leveraged.
-
Risk (3): EEG brainwave biometric development, like much of any hardware development, can take time, typically more than software development. To mitigate, the proposed project is focusing primarily and largely on already available (collected) datasets, which removes the logistics barrier associated with recruiting participants, etc.
