Please describe your proposed solution
XOBaby (https://xobaby.tech/) are looking to create the next generation of baby carriers by embedding IoT devices that would enable real-time tracking of baby temperature, heartbeat, heartbeat variability and oximetry through their carriers - those already being in clinical trial phase. In this context, we have partnered with XOBaby in building the application that would help centralise, store and expose data to parents, medical personnel and research groups. The app is intended to guide the parents on how to best offer care and protection to their children by gathering and managing data associated with the baby care process including special procedures, checkups, vaccination, feeding schedules, best practices and tutorials, medication history, as well as a very key feature - cry recognition based on AI.
Our ambition is to build the solution using Midnight as a data storage / protection blockchain to enable protecting sensitive PII data while exposing useful data to relevant parties including researcher groups. Despite Midnight still being built, our intention is to build a proof of concept that would leverage Midnight in devnet, hence setting the foundation so we are ready for when Midnight goes live. Until that point we would implement an alternative storage layer based on a centralised database not to block the progress of the application development as well as to enable community outreach, with the ultimate idea to switch the storage to Midnight mainnet once it goes live.
At subsequent steps, we are also looking to build an economy based on Cardano that will enable monetizing and cross selling baby related services and products as well as the features offered by the app.
