Solution

Spend time at local, trendy establishments in L.A. to inspire new creatives to launch projects on Cardano. Draw others toward Catalyst.

Problem

Cardano has yet to go fully mainstream, especially evident in cities such as Los Angeles, where Ethereum  dominates the NFT/Crypto convo.

Los Ángeles Cardano Community

Ethereum is ubiquitous. It’s the main chain. Still, does it have to be this way?

In the spirit of Catalyst experimentation, breaking things, being overwhelmed (and having fun) we aim to discover how far we can go with Cardano.

Los Ángeles is the entertainment capital of the world. It’s also arguably the fashion capital of the world and likely the cultural capital of the world. We aim to simply buttress the L.A. based folk currently creating on Cardano whilst also generating heartfelt enthusiasm for newcomers.

The goal is for Cardano to be equally, if not more ubiquitous than Ethereum in the cultural lexicon and economic art landscape. A high tide raises all ships!

Culture, humanity and empathy are the cornerstone tenets and bi-weekly meetups in Los Angeles organized by Bob Peace are the launch point. Attendance will be recorded and tracked each week so we can observe growth or decline.

Additionally, correspondence with new, prospective creators will be documented so we can note how many new projects were launched on Cardano and in what fields (art, music, fashion, sociology, etc) in the 3 month duration of the campaign.

Participants are encouraged to embrace multilingualism in order to facilitate greater correspondence with people.

The main challenge will be keeping the attendance numbers up each week because L.A. Is such a large city and everyone is so busy with their own lives and work.

The stipend will be a FANTASTIC boon to solving this challenge as it will provide a cushion for folks to carve out an hour+ each week and hammer out the mission outlined above.

Addressed above; tracking of each meet and greet/corresponding detailed growth.

$150 nightly budget for these “mini summits” will inspire folks to get out and meet each other as well as ORGANICALLY draw new creatives toward Cardano and/or Catalyst.

Weekly meetups for a six month term will require $3,600; this should allow us a few extra bucks (at least initially) to buy a drink or two for fellow patrons with whom we end up discussing Cardano.

Any unused monies will go toward furthering the Humble Records presence in Los Ángeles and globally.

Bob Peace - Musician and larger than life personality. A good person to have at the bar making connections and talking shop.

Yuki - Founder of NFTSpeakeazy and hospitality services expert. With ample experience at pubs, brewpubs, gastropubs, breweries and more, as well as a passion for and belief in humanity, Yuki is well positioned to onboard newcomers into the Cardano ecosystem while working in tandem with L.A. based Bob Peace

Christian (COINZ) - stake pool operator and lead organizer of the 2021 Los Angeles summit; Christian brings his dynamic personality to the project, stimulating people to expedite the networking and start actioning projects on Cardano/Catalyst immediately.

10% monthly attendance growth.

At least 3 new projects ready to launch on Cardano by the end of the term.

Headlines!

Where is the mainstream media buzz for Cardano?

It’s nonexistent-we need at least one news articles (to be linked on HumbleRecords.io) during the campaign. Articles about projects launching on Cardano, success stories, business leader profiles, anything really.

Stories to inspire other folk to bring their talents to the ecosystem.

There’s a limit to how many connections one can make online-the bar/restaurant setting is the perfect place to forge substantive, in person connections that bear fruit.

This is a brand new proposal and, at its heart, comes from two places:

  1. Bob Peace’s success on chain vis a vis releasing music with a social component (automated UBI payouts via NFTMaker Pro to random winners).

  2. Bob Peace’s experience at Los Ángeles venues networking with celebrities and influencers in addition to blockchain enthusiasts (at times an overlap).
