Solution

Bring together the Cardano community, impact driven changemakers, and local artists and poets for the London Cardano Summit 2023 - for a night of entertainment, storytelling and community celebration.

Problem

Government public budget cuts, stagnant salaries, a cost of living crisis in UK and rising inflation = challenges for unity. Community celebrations are scarce and increasingly expensive.

Feasibility
Value for money
Impact / Alignment
London Cardano Summit 2023 - A model on fusing entertainment, storytelling and community celebration.

Please describe your proposed solution.

Bring together the London and international Cardano community, changemakers, artists, musicians, poets, social entrepreneurs and show the world why despite systemic challenges, we can rise up together and celebrate our successes and learn from new models.

In conjunction with the hosts of the Cardano Summit 2023 London event, collaborate for greater impact. By engaging partner event hosts from the culture, music, arts and entertainment sectors, increase community engagement within the existing Cardano community. Draw new crowds and onboard new communities to the Cardano ecosystem via a night of fun, co-hosted by professional teams and a curated program of entertainment and storytelling.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

Onboard hundreds of new people to the Cardano community, showcasing to new stakeholders and sectors the use cases and richness within the Cardano ecosystem.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

  • Number of new wallets downloaded
  • Number of sign ups to attend the event
  • Number of attendees to the event
  • Survey feedback forms
  • Number of social media posts
  • Number of those engaging with the event social posts

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

We will share it with the host website of the venue, and event management team, as well as our social media channels (twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube) with a total following count of more than 15k followers combined across platforms, who consist mostly of non-Cardano community members.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Catalyst Journey:

We joined Project Catalyst, Cardano’s decentralized innovation fund, during fund 4. After applying and learning from both funds 4 and 5 along with lots of support from Cardano community members and teams, we were able to construct a strong proposal together that focused on our goals and ambitions for Sustainable ADA, and the Cardano community’s goals. We submitted a proposal focused on helping Grow Cardano, and Grow Africa.

With this funding, we had more capacity to focus on researching and sharing stories from change-makers in Africa and the diaspora, who are engaging with Cardano, creating a better tomorrow, today.

Thanks to the Cardano community and the use of their voting power from holding and staking ADA, we successfully secured the funding we were seeking. This helped us to take significant steps towards fulfilling our vision and mission having secured these crucial and helpful funds.

Through our time in the Project Catalyst ecosystem, we have been able to create a lot of strong and exciting partnerships with projects and businesses all across the world. This has led us to develop new ambitions for the work we do and to expand beyond education.
