Localized Resource Directory - Improved adoption in the West African/ African sub region

Please describe your proposed solution.

Several recognized Cardano informational blogs and resources operate based on creating a platform that can cater to its users, which typically includes beginner enthusiasts with piqued interest in the blockchain. However, simple online research shows the non-structural display of information, mainly highlighting the numerous tech-savvy additions to the ecosystem, as well as the events and trends in the industry, irrelevant to the user precisely in that context. Also, most of the content captured is scattered and not displayed to affect any related themes in the topics discussed. This weakens the promise of being beginner friendly, subsequently diminishing any interest in transitioning into a community enthusiast.

What we propose

Our structure is to create themed blocks of information, that are inter-related with similar displayed content for ease of understanding and timely level growth.

  • To enforce this system and prioritize structural continuity, content must be placed in blocks and interlinked with other related topics
  • Users can only access information in blocks, with text segmentation features to aid reader focus. This function equally improves the platform's accessibility for its users.

Our plan

Build a website with image and text blocks containing user-generated content. Here, our local community members can contribute based on their level of knowledge about the Cardano ecosystem. Despite establishing an open source system, input will be allowed from approved members with proven high levels of understanding about the ecosystem.

Manual and technical content structuring will be performed after gathering an adequate number of user-generated content for partial product deployment. Here, each input has to fall under specific categories/tags selected by the approved member sharing their written contribution and given to selected outreach programs to test run.

Content engagement and interaction will be significant determiners in analyzing the project's impact. Gathering non-bias feedback from users during the usability tests and record tracking post outreach with program affiliates.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

Our proposed solution will provide a centralized and user-friendly platform for individuals in the West African/African sub region to access structured and relevant Cardano information. By improving the user experience, we aim to drive increased adoption and foster a more knowledgeable and engaged Cardano community. The project's benefits will include a stronger presence of Cardano in the region and an enriched ecosystem through informed and active participants with a strategy to inform and not enforce blockchain involvement.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

The success of the project will be measured by tracking user engagement metrics, collecting feedback from usability tests, and assessing the impact of the resource directory on Cardano adoption in the West African/African subregion.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

Regular updates on the project's progress will be shared through the localized resource directory website, blog posts, social media channels, and community forums. Additionally, comprehensive reports will detail the outcomes, user feedback, and insights gained during the project's execution.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

We assure high levels of trust and accountability by implementing an open-source system, involving approved and knowledgeable community members in content curation, and welcoming unbiased feedback from users and program affiliates throughout the 8-month duration.Image file

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

The main goals of the project are to improve Cardano adoption, enhance the user experience for beginners, and foster a knowledgeable Cardano community in the West African/African subregion. Feasibility will be validated through user engagement metrics, content contribution rates, and user feedback during usability testing.Image file
