LATIN WOMEN building in CARDANO

Please describe your proposed solution.

Before telling you about the proposal, we would like you to get to know us

Who are we?

Cardano Fem is an initiative created by a group of women from the Latam Cardano Community, who by participating not only in the Thownhalls in Latin America, but also in the global community, realized how few women were involved in the Cardano ecosystem.

Each one of us has worked in different projects and areas of the ecosystem, and we discovered that it is necessary to create a community of women in Latin America, whereby overcoming the gender gap and the language barrier it is possible for each one of us to feel included and safe, where we can learn, know, adopt, participate, educate ourselves and share our experiences, concerns and ideas about Cardano's blockchain technology.

For this reason, in October 2022 we created the Latin American women's community within the Cardano ecosystem: "CardanoFem".

Since then, we started to meet periodically virtually, as our core team is from different Latin American countries such as Colombia, Mexico and Argentina.

We introduce ourselves to the Cardano community through Twitter @FemCardano and Instagram, and we are always present at the LATAM Townhall as well as participating in different events of the Cardano community, developed by the different groups of the global network.

Our Mission:

To break the barriers that limit the inclusion and opportunities for Latin American women in the technological and innovative world of blockchain/crypto technology.

Our Vision:

To have by 2025 the largest community of Spanish-speaking women involved in the different areas of the Cardano ecosystem, helping Latin American women to feel safe, included, active to learn, to do and to be, without fear of making mistakes, innovators and future WEB3 leaders.

Our Values:

Female empowerment

Inclusion

Empathy

Resilience

Commitment

Passion

The proposal is divided into two areas:

Community building

Social media

The creation of a community of Latin American women in Cardano, to add more women, will be done through:

  • Dissemination and promotion activities through Cardanofem's currently active social networks such as Twitter and Instagram and the expansion of networks such as Telegram, LinkedIn will allow us to add more women.
  • Generate spaces for meetings such as Twitter space, or Instagram live with women referents of the Cardano community and talk about diverse topics.
  • Create content of interest for women about Cardano, Blockchain, WEB3, cryptocurrency, wallet, among others.
  • Inform news about the Cardano world such as events, courses, services and more.
  • Relate with other communities of active women and referents of the Spanish-speaking crypto ecosystem.
  • The creation of the CardanoFem website will facilitate :

- The establishment of an online community for Latin American women interested in Cardano, where they can share their knowledge and skills.

- The identification of job and entrepreneurship opportunities in the Cardano ecosystem for skilled Latin American women.

Education

Training and mentoring program

Education is of great value through it, women will be able to break down the barriers that limit their personal, professional, and economic development, and help them to better understand the scope and impact of Cardano's blockchain technology and the development possibilities that this technology offers.

It will be divided into 3 areas:

1- Providing different tools to help women in acquiring non-technical knowledge:

- Workshops with guest speakers and experts in various areas within the Cardano ecosystem such as health and science, finance, art, blockchain development, NFT, SPO, among others.

-Online tutorials from experts in the community.

-Activities on social networks and website.

2- Facilitate access to the training of women developers to learn about the blockchain technology of Cardano.

We will use the Andamio platform by Gimbalabs. We are excited by this collaboration and believe that there are great synergies between the Andamio platform, its technology capabilities, and our objectives. This collaboration supports our roadmap and the development of both organizations. Gimbalabs is the perfect team to support us with technical development, as they have a strong track record in the ecosystem and their goals are aligned with ours.

3-Mentoring through tutorials on investment, savings, finance, entrepreneurship, communication, leadership, project catalyst, project execution, among other topics of interest for the development of women in the use and application of this technology.

Who served and benefited?

All those Latin American women with or without technical knowledge in this technology who want to:

1- Use this technology or develop on the Cardano blockchain but do not have the technical knowledge.

2- Undertake or present ideas, proposals or projects to solve different issues such as social, environmental, health problems through the Cardano network.

3- Learn about finance, savings, cryptocurrency investment and do not know how or where to start.

4- Take advantage of opportunities or job proposals within the Cardano ecosystem

The blockchain community must be ready to welcome women in technology with full participation. There are conferences and events around the world that only invite male blockchain investors or crypto investors. Female counterparts feel excluded and hostile in multiple cases, even in the blockchain industry.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

The CardanoFem proposal seeks to increase the education and inclusion of Latin American women within the Cardano community, so that they feel safe and supported in Cardano.

The Cardano ecosystem will benefit from more women being active, curious and interested in learning, growing, generating ideas or projects and working within it.

Many women refer to the barriers as lack of knowledge of not knowing what and how to use, apply and implement this technology on a personal, work and financial level.

Lack of financial education and knowledge of technology, as well as not having additional funds to invest and undertake, are other barriers.

Added to all this is the language barrier; few women in Latin America have a wide command of English, a language that predominates in almost all of these issues within the Cardano crypto/blockchain ecosystem.

The proposal attempts to solve several of these problems:

1- The gender gap that exists both in the Cardano ecosystem and in the crypto/blockchain world.

2- The language barrier

3- The lack of technical and non-technical knowledge about Cardano

4- The lack of financial education

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

The success will be to get more women to join the Cardano community, learn, develop, invest and become active participants in the Cardano ecosystem.

1)Community building

Social media

We expect to grow in number of users, interactions, alliances with other community organizations and also with other blockchains.

Expanding the social networks will allow us to reach more women of different ages and occupations such as students, professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, or simply women interested or curious about the crypto/blockchain world.

We would like to grow in :

1- Number of users in networks

2- Number of significant interactions

3- Content to attract many women

4- Number of conversations or meeting spaces with women

5-Number of partnerships with organizations in the Cardano community and the crypto ecosystem

2)Education

Training and mentoring program

Our effort and work will be directed to the development of a training and mentoring program in blockchain technology and financial education that promotes the inclusion of Latin American women in the Cardano ecosystem.

This area will be successful if :

We have achieved that many women in Latin America receive training and mentoring in technical and non-technical knowledge that can help them in their lives, whether it is just to learn or to invest or to develop an enterprise or a business proposal.

Success will be determined by :

1-Number of women trained

2-Number of women who received mentoring

3-Level of women's satisfaction with programs or mentoring, by means of surveys, interviews or comments

4-Number of partnerships with organizations in the Cardano community and the crypto ecosystem

5-Number of certificated women (according to the academy reports)

LONG TERM

Our objective is to continue growing

In 3 years:

To reach a community of 10,000 active CardanoFem women.

ROADMAP

We are thinking within the road map we consider the creation of SPO, launch of CardanoFem token and the launch of a DAO aimed at solving the problems faced periodically by women

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

The proposal is designed to be carried out for 8 months.

The growth of a community implies a lot of work and time. We are very happy to be able to collaborate with the ecosystem so that more women include Cardano in their lives.

The proposal has two well-defined areas and each of them with their different times and objectives related to each other, since the sum of them makes it easier for more women to know and join the ecosystem, learn according to their interests and adopt Cardano.

Reports to the community will be made based on these two areas and according to their quantitative and qualitative objectives.

The reports will include

  • different activities of social networks and its statistics
  • development and progress of the website and its statistics
  • Non-technical and technical education and mentoring with their metrics

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

We are women with experience in science, health, communication and project leaders.

Active participants and references in the Cardano LATAM community.

We met working within the Cardano community, coordinating spaces others creating and participating in proposals and projects.

We are very grateful for the great welcome we received from the community.

Sofia Oddo

<https://www.linkedin.com/in/sofiaoddo/>

Community Leader at Help2Health Cardano + Citaldoc June 2022 - March 2023

Ex Community Leader at Innovatio

Medicine student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA)

Sofia has content development skills and extensive knowledge of networks and the Cardano ecosystem.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The main objectives of the proposal are to build a community of women to enrich the community and to facilitate the acquisition of technical and non-technical knowledge to incorporate Cardano's blockchain technology in their work, studies and personal economy.

It is beneficial for both women and the Cardano ecosystem, on the one hand the presence of women, in this case from Latin America and the Caribbean in the Cardano ecosystem, is very low, and this is the problem we seek to solve but in turn Cardano also needs more women to join with ideas, proposals, jobs, investments to achieve their goals of a fairer world and a healthier planet.

The Cardanofem team has been working since 2022 for the growth of the Latin American women's community, organizing and participating in various community events and other blockchain events, and we will continue to do so because we are very committed to what we are aiming for: growth and education of Latin American women in blockchain and financial.

Is good for women, is good for Cardano!!
