In vcoincheck 1.1 version, we built a website to evaluate project quality according to decentralized model and project quality in 2 languages Vietnamese and Japanese. To solve the above problems, in this proposal we want to create a community hub for project quality evaluation for the Vietnamese and Japanese communities. From there, it is possible to increase the connection between local communities and the expansion of Cardano between different countries and cultures.
Why did we choose to develop the Vietnam-Japan community?
- Vietnam and Japan are both in East Asia with similarities in culture, history and human ideolog
- According to official statistics, there are currently more than 23k Japanese people working and living in Vietnam and more than 450k Vietnamese living and working in Japa
See detailed report: https://www.mofa.go.jp/mofaj/area/vietnam/data.html
- It is possible to create a large community that loves blockchain between Vietnam and Japan
<https://youtu.be/KegViS5Ud64>For more details in Japanese language, please see attached file
Here is our detailed solution
- Translate the entire website content (vcoincheck).
- Translate the content available on the website (general website content, project evaluation section) into Japanese (with careful correction so that native Japanese people can understand.
- Create a library of blockchain knowledge, cardano in Japanese (see detailed proposal xxx)
- Introduce the project to Japanese Cardano communities through Catalyst town hall, Japanese community advisors.
- Connecting groups of Vietnamese people who know Japanese language to expand their initial scale (by inviting them to participate in translation and editing of Japanese content). In Vietnam, there are many Japanese language training centers for Vietnamese to work in Japan and we want to attract these people to give them more opportunities to work and learn about Cardano.
- Connecting groups of Vietnamese people who know Japanese to expand their initial scale (by inviting them to participate in translation and editing of Japanese content). At this stage, we want to connect with the Vietnamese community who are working for Japanese companies in Vietnam in the online form.
- Open training courses about blockchain knowledge for Vietnamese who know Japanese so that the participants have enough knowledge to be able to translate highly academic articles or evaluate crypto’s project quality.
- Format of a training course (1month, 1 session per week, 3 hour per session) :
- Instructor: Primary is a person who has good knowledge of blockchain, Cardano, and professional project evaluation skills. And Assistant is 1 person who is fluent in Japanese at level N2 or higher, has basic knowledge of blockchain, Cardano*.*
- To evaluate crypto projects for someone who have no blockchain's knowledge, we choose the easiest approach way that students learn how to evaluate Dapp layer's projects and specifically Defi projects (Because they are projects with the lowest of technology content and most widely available information, most accessible to everyone)
- In each tutorial session, each student will choose a project for self-assessment through the instructor's advice and guidance. After that, all students will exchange and critique to improve their own knowledge. The instructor is responsible for answering all questions and omissions in the student's research paper.
- After 4 training sessions, students will have enough basic skills to evaluate 1 scam project, 1 bad project, 1 investable project. There is a certain amount of basic knowledge to be able to participate in the translation of technical articles.
The unit to measure success is that after the course, each student can participate in direct evaluation of projects on the website or translate blockchain knowledge articles.
- Note: Our people training goals may not be high. However, we emphasise community durability at the early stages and focus on training quality because our team has been through the same thing. For example: 1 quality person can train 10 quality people and the quantity will increase over time in a sustainable way.
2nd phase: (4th month- 9th month)
- Expand the attraction of Japanese people to know about the project.
- Encourage Japanese people to directly participate in the evaluation and content development of our website.
- Open online training courses for Japanese native who do not have the skills and knowledge to evaluate projects.
- Open training courses on blockchain knowledge for Japanese native so that participants have enough knowledge to be able to translate highly academic articles.
- There are many communities of Cardano lovers in the world right now. Even at Catalyst, there are many community development projects and we have European, South American, North American, African communities. However, in Asia, there are not many large communities, due to the geographical location of Asia with multilingual, ethnic and cultural diversity. Our proposal will initially create an multi-language hub between the Japanese and Vietnamese communities.
- For a community to be strong and develop, it must have the common interest of the majority of its participants. A lot of communities have a large number but the quality is very bad because they do not have the core common ground. The core point we want to create this community is to share knowledge and experience on evaluating the quality of crypto projects.
- Building a community-hub on our available website platform Vcoincheck will save initial costs but still create effective community spread.
It is very difficult for an ordinary person who knows Japanese to understand and translate articles with blockchain-related content. This can be time consuming and difficult to find and train qualified people.
• Solution:
- We can open online training courses for Vietnamese students, guide them so that they can qualify to work on our website's jobs.
- Backup solution: Recruit people who know Japanese and have blockchain knowledge in our Vietnam Cardano's community.
The Japanese are known for their carefulness and seriousness in their work. Therefore, editing the website's content according to Japanese culture may take more time than the intended target.
• Solution:
We will try to invite Japanese community advisors, Japanese people living in Vietnam to contribute comments and edit website content to suit the culture and tastes of the Japanese Cardano community
