NMKR makes it easy for creators to have an NFT collection that can be integrated to their website.

To accommodate NFTs that are mainly used within a game or metaverse, our solution will make it possible to integrate NMKR's NFT drop into a 3D environment built in Unity.

As a proof of concept, this will be integrated into Carda Station metaverse, the scope of this proposal.

Creators can have NFT drops within the 3D environment where players can walk in game, have a look at the NFTs for sale, interact with other players and purchase an NFT all within an immersive experience.

2 experiences will be provided:

1. An immersive 3D gallery where users can walk around, view and purchase image NFTs
2. An immersive 3D showroom where users can walk around, view and purchase 3D NFTs

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

The solution provides creators with another option on how to sell NFTs.

NFT drops are currently possible via a 2D experience on a website. By including an immersive 3D experience, the Cardano ecosystem will be able to have an immersive 3D experience where creators can setup custom 3D NFT drops to showcase what their NFTs look like in game.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

Success will be determined by these main factors:

• Number of creators choosing to make a 3D NFT drop: By having a 3D NFT drop as an option, we will be able to determine how popular this method is by viewing the number of creators using the platform
• Number of players who visit the 3D NFT drop location: By tracking how many players visit the in game sale, we can determine how popular this method of viewing and purchasing NFTs is
• Feedback from creators & buyers about the experience: We will collect feedback through surveys from both creators and buyers to quantify the experience

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

The solution will be live during the duration of the proposal. Anyone will be able to try it out and provide feedback.

Metrics highlighted in our success criteria will be shared at the end of the project. The community will be able to determine how successful this form of NFT drop is.

The metrics will provide a good indication of the experience of NFT drops in a 3D environment, and how this can be used by creators.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Erich Schudt founded Carda Station which is a live metaverse (pre-alpha) within the Cardano Ecosystem with a public roadmap and quarterly AMAs for accountability.

Erich is also a Plutus Pioneer (Cohort 2) having written smart contracts on the Cardano blockchain.

The team behind Carda Station have many years of experience in game development including projects such as Ghost Recon and Beyond Good & Evil.

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

The main goal is to be able to have NFT drops within Carda Station Metaverse.

Most of the feasibility has already been proven by the open and live metaverse that anyone can access. Users can already play as an in game character and explore - https://cardastation.com/play

This will be an addition where NFT drops can be done within the existing environment.

We will work closely with NMKR and share our technical solution. Any potential obstacles will be highlighted early to ensure project completion within the timeframe.

Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

Month 1 - Integrate NMKR into Carda Station Account page

• Creators on NMKR need to be able to securely share their API keys
• Process to manage API keys including when they have been revoked
• Link the user's account to the user's NMKR project(s)

Month 2 - Integrate NMKR Studio API in the Metaverse

• Retrieve NMKR project information including description, NFTs, prices, etc
• Display this information inside Unity
• Include option to purchase NFTs

Month 3 - Testing & Showcase

• Private group of testers for the functionality
• Sign up 1 independent artist to showcase the functionality
• Project completion report

Month 1 - Integrate NMKR to Carda Station Account page

• Release this feature publicly on the account page
• Iterate on any bugs and major feature requests

Month 2 - Integrate NMKR Studio API in the Metaverse

• NMKR projects and their NFTs can be viewed inside the metaverse

Month 3 - Testing & Showcase

• Publicly release the feature
• Host a showcase event with an independent artist on Cardano

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The Cardano ecosystem will have an immersive 3D NFT launchpad within a live and open metaverse.

With a relatively low cost given the solution is being built on top of an existing platform, Cardano ecosystem will have a real use case for end users to validate immersive NFT drops.

It's only by placing products in front of users will we learn what works, and what needs to be improved.
