The solution is to put out the best music so that listeners can ONLY find said music on the Cardano blockchain.
Perhaps this sounds naïve but we must start somewhere.
Beaucoup artists are disgusted with how their digital music is monetized so let’s create an alternative. Ultimately, the fans will go where the talent is. Put Taylor Swift on Cardano and folks will leave Spotify. That’s hyperbolic but makes the point.
The interconnected element of this solution is to merge music and charity (UBI) so fans become more purposeful in their listening habits. Cardano is a great place to do this.
I’d like to see us track three things:
-
# of monthly music releases (for sale, not airdrops) by Humble Records artists.
-
ADA Sales Total Volume
-
Total UBI ADA dispersed per month as well as participants
The only real risks will be keeping the artists engaged enough to continually release on Cardano. A big part of this will be NFT sales though Catalyst funding could temporarily supplant that.
