Solution

Creating a Blockchain health screening database w/ personalized recommendations & 3-sided marketplace. Experts conduct screenings, individuals-locals & labs participate. Users pay with utility token.

Problem

Limited access to personalized screenings delays care. Outdated info, neglecting factors, and insufficient guidance raise costs & risks. Lack of HSD & localized healthcare provider. recommendations.

HSD: Health Screening Database MVP

Please describe your proposed solution.

The solution:

Stage 1 - MVP Development:

We bring together individuals with shared values and skills to develop a blockchain-based Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The MVP includes a database of critical health screenings tailored to various age groups and health conditions.

Stage 2 - Team Expansion:

A technical co-founder will join our team to help with smart contracts.

TBD-the names we will reach out:

Stage 3 - Smart Contract Implementation:

Upon the completion of the database, we plan to implement smart contracts that provide locality-specific suggestions for health screenings.

Long-Term Strategy:

After successful implementation of the MVP, our vision is to scale this into a three-sided marketplace. Health experts will set the necessary health screenings, individuals in locales will identify the healthcare providers (hospitals, laboratories, etc.), and users will pay to receive a list of screenings and respective providers.

The individuals identifying local providers and the health experts will be compensated through a utility token paid by the users.

Use Cases:

 1. Client X: A 55-year-old man in NYC with a family history of heart disease. He could receive personalized cardiovascular health screening recommendations, including cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and echocardiogram tests.
 2. Client Y: A 30-year-old woman from Istanbul suffering from recurring migraines. She could access recommended tests for potential medical causes like hormonal imbalances or brain abnormalities.

In both scenarios, our solution's user-friendly interface and comprehensive database would provide each client with the necessary resources for managing their specific health concerns.

This solution will help users detect potential health concerns at an early stage and take proactive steps towards their health maintenance. It will enable users to make informed decisions about their health, avoiding misinformation or outdated medical advice.

While the MVP might initially focus on specific health concerns and patient demographics, there is potential for it to expand over time to include a wider range of health concerns and patient populations, enhancing the comprehensiveness and value of the Health Screening Database (HSD).

Tools:

We will use smart contacts tools and IP, datas from legit sources such as healthdata.org (using data visualizations to compare health data by location, age, and countries)

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

 • The challenge is addressed by enabling individuals to receive accurate feedback about the preventative screening procedures they are due to undergo based on their age group, location, risk factors, health / family history etc. confirmed by healthcare professionals within our community.
 • Elimination of intermediaries: The blockchain-powered marketplace will remove the need for costly intermediaries, reducing administrative overheads and improving operational efficiency.

Individuals take their health check-ups into their own hands rather than only relying on their physicians who are often overworked and may not have the ability to provide the care and attentiveness required. The global health screening market is also projected to experience significant growth due to increasing awareness of preventive healthcare - further making the workload on physicians insurmountable.

 • Verified laboratory network: The marketplace will feature a network of accredited testing laboratories, providing confidence in the quality and accuracy of screening services.

 • Every transaction and interaction within the marketplace will be recorded on the blockchain, enabling transparent and traceable data exchange.

The way this benefits Cardano:

 • circulation of ADA (token, tbd) around the database, since the contributors to the marketplace will receive rewards in ADA, while users will deposit funds in ADA to access the database, thus strengthening the ecosystem.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

Accessibility and Availability:

 • Assess the availability and coverage of laboratories in various geographical areas.
 • Number of laboratories listed and their distribution to ensure broad accessibility for patients.
 • Evaluate the ease of access to the health screening list for patients and the comprehensiveness of information provided, such as screening procedures, laboratory details, and pricing.
 • Number of contributors - healthcare professionals, location submissions, and patients actively participating in the marketplace.
 • Monitor user activity metrics such as the frequency of interactions, number of procedures submitted by professionals, and the number of labs listed by providers.
 • The robustness of the database in terms of laboratory / screening locations and types of services offered.
 • Analyze user feedback and satisfaction surveys to assess their level of engagement and their perception of the marketplace's value.
 • Conduct surveys or interviews to gather feedback and assess user satisfaction. Look for indications of improved user experience, ease of data access, and collaboration facilitated by the blockchain implementation.

Transaction Volume and Revenue:

 • Measure the number of transactions occurring on the marketplace, including the number of health screenings accessed by patients and payments made.
 • Track revenue generated from patient payments for accessing the health screening list and consider the growth rate over time.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

Long-term outcomes:

 1. Preventive health awareness through advocacy and wellness initiatives in Adawell DAO
 2. Personalized health screening recommendations based on their individual health history, symptoms, and demographic
 3. Easy access to screening facilities/laboratories with updated pricing information, preferably near individual's location
 4. Reliable and scientifically backed health information with source
 5. Plan to expand coverage to include more preventive health concerns and patient demographics over tim

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

The main goal is to create a health screening database and a three-sided marketplace. We will validate its feasibility through a prototype, user feedback, and analyzing the market response to our utility token. Regulatory Compliance Assessment: Collaborate with legal and compliance experts to assess the regulatory requirements specific to the healthcare industry and ensure that the marketplace complies with relevant regulations. Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Develop a small-scale PoC to demonstrate the functionality, security, and usability of the marketplace. The PoC can involve a limited number of laboratories and locations - 4 in London, 4 in Poland, 4 in Turkey. Engage users to validate the core features and gather user feedback. From this, we will conjure up a roadmap to implement any features that were advised by our community and share the estimated timelines for completion, while expanding the laboratory coverage - either by engaging more contributors to expand location-wise or diversify the laboratories within the existing locations of UK, Poland, Turkey. Engage with healthcare providers, testing laboratories, patients, and regulatory bodies to understand their needs, challenges, and potential adoption of the marketplace. Seek feedback on the proposed solution and gather insights to refine the project scope and features. Technical Feasibility Study: Collaborate with blockchain developers, healthcare experts, and technology partners to conduct a technical feasibility study. This study should assess the compatibility of Cardano blockchain with the project requirements, identify any technical limitations, and outline the necessary development and integration efforts.
