ABOUT MIVERSE & GRAPHIC

As we proposed in the proposal of technical development of Miverse

Miverse is not a card game or a 2D turn-based game. It's a 3D metaverse and you can check its concept in the link here. Those include:

  • Star system: where you can jump into your ship then travel & enjoy the space beauties with your lovers; where you can side by side with your friend to protect your star defender; where you risk your crew for finding your dream at space mints; or where you can chase your enemy out of your home planets… Moreover, players will be mind-blown when experiencing the difference between the star systems in Miverse.
  • Star defender - MMO battlefield in Miverse: there are at least 20 battleships and thousand of light fighters flying and fighting in a battle of Miverse.
  • Planet's assets: You don't want to fight more? Need a peaceful life? Take land on any planet of any star system you want then go build something, farm some food, or you can make a mini-game then sell entrance tickets for making money…
  • Character: each star system belongs to a creature. There is not only a Solar system in Miverse, everyone can come to the star system of Android which relates to Earth's AI robot in the same universe, or someday you accidentally jump into another magical world of another universe… each of that creatures will have at least 7 different characters with different personalities that can show yourself.
  • Ships: for traveling through galaxies or jumping between universes, you must have your own ships. And for engaging in star wars, you have to build hundred of light fighters to side by side with your friends.

Each of the above assets and environment will be made with the best quality and align with a concept.

Moreover, this concept will be used throughout all our graphic projects that relate to Miverse including:

  • Miverse comic: that will be published weekly after this fund, and you can see the detail of its proposal here.
  • Animation in the future: comic is not the only one that can attract play-to-entertain gamers but also animation. Dota2, League of Legends invested millions of dollars in their animation on Netflix and attract a lot of people these years.
  • Media production: trailer, marketing materials, landing page… will use the same concept to help everyone stick in mind about Miverse world.
  • Event production: tournament event, online event, meet-up event… the concept guideline also help designers to make people remember about Miverse after that.

OUR TARGETS & IMPACTS

Align with our master plan, our key target in Miverse is play-to-entertain gamers. So that our graphic production direction is not just only fit with the game concept but also fit with the insight of gamers in both the mainstream gaming industry and current crypto games. This will help us increase the big amount of adopters to Cardano ecosystem by joining Miverse. In the scope of this proposal, it will make an impact to:

  • Play-to-entertain gamers: They're our main target of this proposal, and also the main target of Miverse games. The in-game high-quality graphic is one of the most important things to attract players to the game and keep them long as possible, moreover, it also inspires some creators to make some amazing art products and spread them on the internet.
  • Play-to-earn gamers: Most play-to-earn players play games for money and less care about the graphic, but they're the ones that actively share and make content about the game through the internet. So, if the game has a great graphic, and gameplay. It will attract people more effectively.
  • Investors: Investors in the crypto game market usually go with play-to-earn players, they will select a stable and sustainable game for investment. Of course, a game with high-quality graphics, and creative gameplay never be a scam to them. Moreover, there are a lot of investment methods in Miverse that will make them interesting in.
  • Developers & Creators: Same with thoughts of play-to-entertain & investor, Miverse is a good project and they will notice and join to build up the ecosystem of Miverse more diverse. With DAO governance voting system, developers and creators will also be more motivated to join and act.

For the whole project, we mentioned and analyzed the challenges in the technical proposal. This project is big, complex, ambitious, not on gameplay only but also in media. So, graphics is one of the most important components that we have to focus on and serious to develop. In the scope of this proposal, there are some challenges about graphic development including:

  1. Is it sure that our concept can be enough to attract play-to-entertain gamers?

We're not sure at first. But a successful business always learn from its consumers and I believe that we do that for making the best product. We watch thousands of videos reviewing games of Youtube creators and we change our minds a lot in-game concept and graphic concept development. Including some famous channels like: TheLazyPeon, Josh Strife Hayes. The next step, to answer this question is that we have to kick off and work with our consumers. And for overcoming this challenge, we already set a plan that shows up our art works and takes feedback from communities every day, every week to improve it.

2. Metaverse is a big deal with a small company:

Especially about the graphic, that's the reason why we don't make our way like other big and experienced companies on developing metaverse, they make it like a small society with multi-complex functions. We will only make it for gaming entertainment and we do it step by step, from small to bigger things. What if we have a chance to expand like them? We will, but let's do it after the first 5 years.

3. This project starts with prosing 3 proposals, what if we successfully be funded all of them or failed to leave only one?

This is our first time raising funding in Cardano and we are well aware of this. Currently, the team of this project is mixing of professionals in a game studio and a marketing agency. About the comic production, we will work with freelancers. And all of those development components were planned to develop independently in case of failure in raising funds. So, whether one or three proposals will be funded, we can make them successful.

Moreover, the mixed plan of three proposals will help to boost the performance of the project and the Cardano ecosystem. So, we hope that we can be successfully be funded with all 3 proposals at a time.

5. How can we survive without Catalyst project funds?

For developing this project, we need million or maybe billion of dollars. So we cannot depend on only the Catalyst project. So, we're not just developing raised funding plans from investors but also designing the monetary model that can help Miverse survive and develop further in the future as we described above. Moreover, we will start to raise private funds at the end of this phase. Hence, we hope that Catalyst project can help us at first step, hardest step of every dream.

STRATEGIC PHASES OF WHOLE PROJECTS

Phase 1: entering *(**In 3~9 months)*Unlike other NFT games, instead of maximizing the NFT selling at the first phase. We will do it the way the non-crypto games is doing: release the game and let player free to mine the NFT by themselves.

  • Forming the MVP that players want to play-to-entertain but easy to play to keep players that want play-to-earn.
  • The assets used in-game of this phase should be designed to suitable remain phases.
  • 50% focus on acquiring players that want play-to-earn because they're the most active consumer in GameFi industry.
  • 50% focus on acquiring players that want play-to-entertain because they're the first "virus" generation for us to dominate the mainstream game industry.
  • Cooperate with professional outsource game production studio for releasing the MVP
  • Build in-house core teams for risk securing and long-term developing the business.

Phase 2: forming (In 9~12 months)

We're now having a number of play-to-entertain gamers, it's time to develop games that they love to play like in the mainstream industry to let them spread to there. And it's also the base environment for developers to join us to develop Miverse in the future.

  • The developed games in this phase should be familiar game genres with mainstream gamers but also inherited the old asset in the 1st phase. This strategic game genre will be chosen based on the context of that time but can be MMO or MOBA, and city building game.
  • Metaverse will be available in this phase
  • Focus on attracting play-to-entertain players to new genres.
  • Finish building the in-house production team for securing the development of mainstream products.
  • Keep upgrading the old game genre in the 1st phase.

Phase 3: scaling *(*In 12~24 months)

After the 2nd phase, Miverse now has a metaverse and an infrastructure that can let developer develop their idea in it. So that this phase we attract developers and creators to join Miverse to develop the ecosystem with DAO voting.

  • Finish the DAO voting and create a seed fund program for developers and creators.
  • Leading developers to develop game genres that mainly focus on play-to-entertain.
  • Upgrading the metaverse and mainstream game genres for inspiring developers to diverse games in Miverse.
  • Miverse upgrades its 2nd version. Now, there is a multiverse in one Miverse. Where investors can rule their own world and cooperate with players to make their dream world suitable for them both.

Phase 4: networking

With the development of Cardano and other blockchain platforms. Multichain in this time is not a big deal anymore. In addition, the development of the developer community in Miverse can help everyone on other metaverses to use their asset in Miverse. The only problem now is the other ones will accept it?

  • Mainly focus on upgrading the infrastructure to work multichain.
  • Stealing more users from other platforms - both gamers from the mainstream game industry and investors from other metaverses.

In this proposal, we will only break down the budget of the art development for the scope of this proposal only - quarter III, 2022. The budget of game development, or comic is in other proposals.

In this proposal and this phase, we will set the man-month salary to be $3.000 for the budget because we will use senior artist for catching the timeline on time. This is very important for impressing users and players for making the next phases easier to be funded by investors and trust from user communities.

Moreover, the game studio that cooperates with us in this phase will commit to helping the project build its own in-house team. At that time, the cost will be reduced a lot but still getting the timeline on time. Everyone that has experience in building an in-house team is knowing that it's hard and wastes a lot of money to initiate at the first year.

Andy Nguyen - CEO of Unicorn Studio - Having more than 8 years of developing games for the Korean market for big companies like KakaoTalk, OllehStore, OzStore, TStore, and Facebook Instant Game. Many years of experience in making mobile applications, windows os, mac os, websites and graduated with a master's degree in data science. I am just starting to research and develop blockchain but feel that this is a very early market and there are many opportunities ahead so I decided to devote all my heart to the blockchain. The combination of my many years of game-making experience and my experience in researching and implementing a few blockchain projects will definitely help in the completion of this project. I also hope that in the process of working on the project, I will be able to create valuable research papers for the blockchain academic community.

Christian Ho - Founder of Unicorn Studio - Having more than 11 years of developing games, 5 years of PM, and 6 years of tech lead for many game projects as you can check the info in the attached file below. A year ago, when I met Mr. Dat, he is just a young entrepreneur without any experience in the gaming industry. Even he had a lot of experience in launching various kinds of business but a gaming business is not an easy one at all. However, his entrepreneurship and the ambition vision of Miverse motivated me to join it. I believe that in our ability and experience, we are sure that we can help Miverse pass its first phases and keep moving further in the future.
