Summary:

Today Guest book a hotel with a room category. In same room category, each room can have different in view or floor number or layout location or different other attributes.

This proposal outlines the implementation of a robust system for creating a Unique Room ID for each hotel/accommodation room and making a Software Development Kit (SDK) available to facilitate room booking using the Cardano blockchain. The project aims to bring transparency, security, and efficiency to the hotel industry while providing a seamless experience for users engaging in room reservations.

Objectives:

  1. Unique Room Identification: Establish a unique identification system for each hotel/accommodation room using the Cardano blockchain to enhance transparency and avoid booking conflicts.
  2. Decentralized Booking System: Develop an SDK that enables developers to integrate Cardano blockchain for room booking, providing a decentralized and secure booking mechanism.

The cost is based on effort estimates for all members involved in the project. Average Cost of developer and relevent skills are taken.

This use case includes not only the development but actually working with a customer which is participating in the budget

Total Cost is higher than Maximum Budget permissable for a project in this category. Short fall in budget is being paid by proposer Company Cloud10 Hospitality as they will be first user of this concept once it is ready.

The use case will be a good example not only for hospitality clients but also for the developer ecosystem in the hospitality industry and can attract more developers to Cardano.

While in a concept stage, it will already integrate blockchain smart contracts and transactions.
