Solution

We have created a portal with hours of educational content, where anyone can learn about Cardano, our governance structure and dApps.

We now ask for the community’s trust to take it a step further!

Problem

Greeks lack proper blockchain education and ignore Cardano and its emerging real world solutions. Instead, they are funnelled to cat token liquidity pools, or, even worse, wallet draining websites.

Greek OdyC DAO: Ecosystem awareness through nationwide scientific survey, educational conferences and multifunctional Web3 enabled hub.

Please describe your proposed solution

  • We will conduct a nationwide survey, including Cyprus, to determine the level of knowledge of the Greek public on blockchain issues and in particular on the Cardano ecosystem. The results will be published and a scientific paper will be written to be used freely by any entity. We will interpret and evaluate them in a way to structure our educational content, as well as identify which categories of professions would be interested in using Cardano infrastructure to expand their business.

  • In addition, we will organize at least two conferences in the two major cities in Greece (Athens & Thessaloniki) and one in Cyprus, to inform people ourselves, answer questions and generally strengthen their confidence with our physical presence. In our presentations we will briefly explain the positives of blockchain, but mainly we will focus on Cardano applications that solve their everyday problems. And depending on where we are in the ecosystem as far as governance is concerned, we will spend time in a roundtable format to discuss it with the attendees and listen to their views. These conferences will be recorded and accessible from our DAO web portal.

  • Furthermore, we will steadily upgrade our web portal from v1 -> v2 -> v3. We will add many web3 features such as wallet connection and on chain voting processes.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

Through our work, we aim to focus on projects that have real-world utility.

Beyond the technological superiority of our blockchain, people are interested in knowing which problems it will solve and how it will simplify their daily lives. With this as our foundation, and through engaging and interactive talks stemming from prior research, we believe we can educate the Greek community on both thinking about emerging technologies and, above all, systematically exploring the magic of our ecosystem.

Through our portal, we will ensure to provide knowledge at all relevant levels.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

Our team consists of members from the DAO who, through their actions, have demonstrated their love, persistence, and dedication to Cardano. They come from diverse backgrounds including academia, arts, sales, marketing, technology, etc. (See the project team below).

We believe not only that we will successfully complete the project, but also that we will do so with utmost success, respecting each and every ADA entrusted to us by the community for this purpose.

  1. Our team will write a paper based on the evaluations from the survey results.
  2. We will successfully organize the second Greek Cardano Summit.
  3. We will book the venue for the next one in Cyprus.

Evidence of completion:

  1. The paper itself and proof for publishing request.
  2. Photos & Videos from the second Summit.
  3. Booking receipt for the venue in Cyprus.

Milestone 4: 4th Milestone (6-8 months)

Outputs:

  • Cyprus Summit.

Acceptance criteria:

  • We will successfully organize the third and last Summit in one of Cyprus' three big cities.

Evidence of completion:

Starting the journey in the realm of knowledge, I studied for the countries of Southeast Europe (area studies), continued with a master's degree in international political and economic relations, pursued with another master's degree in education policy and educational research and complete with a PhD in international financial organizations and development economics. This journey has brought me today to be an authorized professor at University of Western Macedonia in Greece.

I believe cryptocurrencies are one of the most revolutionary ideas and the power of blockchain can make the world better and more humane. As a person who loves knowledge and is passionate about education, I participate in this effort because I want to help promote knowledge based on scientific principles. I believe that this proposal will provide the opportunity to educate people in a proper and ethical way.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

This proposal concerns a comprehensive action package, which we will strategically utilize in combination, to inform as many people as possible about the solutions offered by our ecosystem.

It is crucial, especially in parts of the world where English is not the official language, for people to know that they have reliable individuals around them whom they can turn to. These individuals can explain the unfolding opportunities slowly but steadily and serve as a stable point for any questions or issues that arise.

The funds allocated for this purpose will directly lead us to where we want to be, and we intend to leverage the momentum created to propel ourselves to even higher levels, independently!
