and demonstrate ability to host "boxes" as Fluree ledgers.
The selected use cases should be linkable through some interesting context. This will allow us to demonstrate use of ontologies to connect two different business domains together.
We will be leveraging existing RDF standards already adopted by corresponding industries wherever we can.
Indeginous Art Authenticity:
a Fund 4 Proposal project (8), which covers use cases of physical art authenticity and rich cultural metadata. (Dmitri Safine is a co-proposer)
Implement back-end and API
GraphQL API
Based on architecture agreed upon by Fluree, IOHK, and developers
Will be hosted on AWS and emulate decentralized testnet
Phase 2 (months 4 - 6)
Implement RDF-Powered Web Forms:
Create a form generator to automatically create an interactive web form to collect data based on the corresponding RDF standard to make inserting into Fluree seamless
Implement security model:
Partial showing of data.
Data subscription by 3-rd parties.
Zero-knowledge proof use-cases
Start engaging SPO community
Develop incentive system for the SPOs and start communicating the vision
Implement easily deployable bundle for side-chain hosting
Testnet hosted on network of volunteering SPOs
Phase 3 (months 7 - 12)
Mainnet launch
Advertise for more SPOs involvement
Support broader DApp ecosystem
Advertising for the broader DApps community Cover more variety of use cases
Public Launch Date The public sidechain mainnet launch will be tentatively set as 8 months from now, or Jan 2022, but it will largely depend on resources we will be able to attract. The two projects selected as initial use cases: NFT-DAO boxcar and Indiginous Art Authenticity will host their own Fluree metadata ledgers and be implemented according to their own funding and delivery schedule.
Budget breakdown Because the scope of the project is much larger than the requested amount, we are dedicated to start building it out regardless of funding or not. The requested funding will therefore not be going towards engineering costs, but rather marketing and outreach, infrastructure and upkeep costs, and a bounty/reward system to attract more developers to help us in this effort. Most importantly, being a selected proposal will grant us access to IOHK architects to oversee and consult on the design.
We will continue to seek funding elsewhere and attract development resources. As one of such initiatives, the initial prototype of this project has been posted as a capstone project for the York University in Toronto Certificate in Blockchain Development program (9), with work on it starting in May.
