Since the Cardano Community already had to come up with NFT skills (which were not the biggest part of our blockchain) and has had minor successes with gaming projects, we still need a really successful Cardano blockchain game that is NOT focused on being an investment vehicle, but first and foremost an entertaining experience.

Not only are we proposing a non-combat (but conflict) cooperative multiplayer crafting game, we've been working on it for 20 months. We met during fund 8 in a catalyst town hall and decided that we should develop a valuable experience first before selling anything for the game, and we did.

We're on the right track, even though we're currently forced to work on Flooftopia in our spare time because the Daedalus turbo permit prevented us from securing funding already there. We are already building, our community is growing, although we are not a financially focused app, so support us to have a winner that attracts and creates a gaming ecosystem on Cardano.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

Solana and Polygon have a game sector with a daily turnover of over 20 million dollars! This doesn't take into account the amount of skills and talent we can't keep because people don't believe it's possible to develop a game on Cardano.

With a successful game, more money will flow into our ecosystem to develop completely different applications, especially when it comes to the infrastructure of the whole ecosystem.

We need to build that part of the industry for Cardano and we've been working on it for years, even helping with other projects, otherwise Cardano will fall behind if we ignore the gaming industry medium, which was bigger than $188.73 billion in 2021 and $199.74 billion in 2022.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

We will release the game and it will be a signal to other game devs that it is possible and Cardano is improving its infrastructure for this sector so the biggest sector for Cardano, the NFTs get the much needed revolution starting right in our ecosystem.

We wil utilize the ordinary development cycle and use the Alpha and Beta as big show points.

We already did daily screenshots for over a year, we have Demo show offs for our community, youtube videos and twitch events.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Flooftopia when funded will be delivered by an extended team comprised of the employees of FluxusNetwork ( https://cnftalliance.org/ ) that have a combined experiences of over 110 years in game development from AAA to award winning indie games. Their salaries match the industry standards and are connected to fullfiling milestone based work.

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

Four big main milestones are to be reached.

The gold master and therefore the full release of the game is what will show the world that real games can be made on Cardano and bring in the investment interest that is bitterly to our ecosystem

to realize the project we will utilize the convenience we have through FluxusNetwork and partially hire the people that work on the game to keep costs as low as possible.

All salaries are averaged on skill and location. Monthly salaries are calculated for 160 working hours a month since we are located across Europe

With a successful game and growing infrastructure that we as an ecosystem are building, we only need the precedence case to make our ecosystem attractive for not just the web2 investment that is looking for a home but for the web3 investors that all got burned on blockchains without infrastructure for game developers.
