EVENT: ADN - Argentina Digital Nation 2025

Please describe your proposed solution

Our proposed solution is to create a flagship annual event whose purpose is to address the challenge of country wide adoption of blockchain technology, with a particular focus on Cardano, using a format of open discussions in common language that can lower the adoption barriers and promote new incomers into the space.

With more than 500 attendees, our 2024 edition set the basis to achieve this goal.

In a full day event held at the Buenos Aires Hilton hotel, we hosted 35 speakers in 9 sessions at the main stage with 6 discussion panels that touched key adoption pillars on Government, Finances, Culture and Society, Enterprises, Education and Innovation and 3 keynotes with Chris Meniw on Industry 5.0, Alex Pestchanker and Mauro Andreoli on Decentralized Governance and Charles Hoskinson on Cardano and the future of the Blockchain.

During the 10 hs of the event, we have indulged our attendees with a top cuisine dishes and breaks for networking, a VIP room to host businesses conversations and a media space for local and international journalists and influencers to do interviews to generate outreach beyond the event itself.

On top of our keynote speakers, we have the presence of key Argentinean and International figures as speakers in our panels such as:

  • Alan Vebner an OG Cardano developer.
  • Kamanu and Santi Siri, top influencers in the spanish speaking blockchain market.
  • JJ Siler from IOG.
  • Rafael Fraga from CF.
  • Dan Friedman from Palmyra and Zengate.

We have also the distinguished presence of several government officials such as:

  • Ramon Lanus, Major of San Isidro.
  • Diego Fernandez, Secretary of Innovation and Digital Government, Buenos Aires City.
  • Martin Yeza, National Congressman.
  • Martin Tetaz, National Congressman.
  • Sandra Rey, Buenos Aires City legislator.
  • Sergio Morales, National coordinator of technical advisory, Argentina Presidency.

An important presence of the key national universities in the country:

  • Juan Vidaguren, Dean School of Management and Technology, ITBA.
  • Alejandro Martinez, Dean Engineering Faculty, UBA.
  • Alfredo Roisenzvit, Diretor postgraduate program in Crypto, UCEMA
  • Gabriela Agosto, Dean Social Sciences Faculty, USAL.
  • Guillermo Oliveto, Dean Buenos Aires Faculty, UTN.

And an important presence by chambers and private sector:

  • Natalia Scaliter, General Director Google Cloud MCO South.
  • Ignacio Roitzman, CoFounder and COO Sensei node.
  • Fernando Sack, President Provincia ART.
  • Gonzalo Rodriguez, Global AI.
  • Rafael Costa Garrido, Senior Creative Ambassador AI at Mediamonks.
  • Roberto Rojas, Fundación Blockchain Argentina.
  • Diego Zaldivar, CoFounder Bitcoin Latam, Rootstock and IOV Foundation.
  • Facundo Cajen, author "The Virtual State".
  • Tomás Chernoff, CoFounder and CEO Che3D.
  • Fernando Zacarías, President PASS foundation and author.
  • Diego Diaz, Head of Payments and Crypto at Cámara Argentina Fintech.
  • Camila Velazco, Influencer.
  • Mauro Ordoñez, Lawyer and Specialist in public affairs.
  • Naty Shi, Leader Enterprise Development at Think & Dev.

Our vision is to establish a large-scale Blockchain conference in Argentina and the region, uniting government officials, banking leaders, and significant institutions. This event shall serve as a unique platform to showcase Cardano's capabilities in addressing pressing economic challenges and catalyzing nationwide and regional blockchain adoption. This approach will enable us to foster meaningful dialogue, and establish Cardano as a viable solution for the economic challenges faced by countries like Argentina.

The conference covered essential topics like Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), identity solutions, asset tokenization, adoption, businesses and regulations. These discussions are crucial for understanding blockchain's potential impact on the Argentine economy and will benefit Cardano by expanding awareness and knowledge among institutions on the solutions being built on Cardano.

By focusing in Argentina and high potential countries in the Latin American region for blockchain adoption, we will provide the Cardano ecosystem of a unique and ready to go launchpad to continue our drive for mass scale adoption.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

The success of our project will bring significant value to the Cardano community in:

  • Increased Awareness and Adoption: By organizing a high-profile blockchain conference, we will raise Cardano's profile in Argentina and the region. This heightened awareness will lead to increased interest and adoption of Cardano's blockchain technology. The proof of this is the amount of high level mentions, events, meetings and other Cardano related activities that started to happen in the second part of 2024.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Our project will create opportunities for Cardano to establish strategic relationships with government agencies, banks, and institutions. These partnerships will hopefully lead to collaborative initiatives and pilot projects built on Cardano. There were several great contacts and businesses opportunities that the ADN 2024 edition helped to realize, many of those are turning into projects that could really shape the future of Cardano in the Country.

Engagement Metrics:

We will measure impact through quantitative metrics, such as the number of government officials and institutions engaged, conference attendance, media impressions, and post-conference discussions. These metrics will provide a tangible representation of the project's success.

We will actively involve the Cardano community by sharing event updates, recordings of presentations, and key insights gained during the conference. This information will be shared through our communication channels.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

Besides our demonstrated capability of running this event, as demonstrated in the 2024 edition, we have been organizing events in the Cardano ecosystem since 2021, most of them in Spanish aimed at the Latin American population, but also in Brazil and in Portuguese.

Such as the Latam Townhalls, the Catalyst Ideafests, The CIP1694 Latam workshops, The Catalyst WorkinGroups Workshops, Blockchain Rio 2024, the Cardano Constitutional Workshops, as well as Educational and Technical events together with universities, such as the Builders Fest.

Our capabilities range from event organization to community engagement, from decentralized governance to translation to local languages, from helping people to create and present their projects to actively promoting them in order for the world to learn about the LATAM opportunity.

Our members are deeply conected to Cardano playing key roles such as ambassadors, Intersect Committes and work groups, core development, DeFi and NFT projects.

We depend on sponsors to support the event. How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

Project costs were carefully allocated to maximize value for Cardano and to cover the basic costs in order for the event to happen.

Leveraging the great success of our 2024 edition, seeking to enlarge its size and outreach and by organizing a large-scale blockchain conference in Argentina, we are creating a unique opportunity to showcase Cardano's potential to an entire country. The costs are proportional to the scope and impact of the event and based on our experience in 2024 to ensure that we can deliver a high-quality conference that brings value to the Cardano ecosystem.

This proposal represents an efficient investment in expanding awareness and knowledge of the Cardano Blockchain among institutions and the government. Making it a cost-effective way to promote adoption and growth of Cardano.
