Solution

While Cardano has many features, such as low transaction costs, that can attract NFT developers/projects from ETH, there needs to be a group or Alliance that can provide those resources.

Problem

The current problem is that there aren’t any great methods or groups facilitating of interoperability of NFT ecosystems between the Cardano and Ethereum blockchains!

Ethereum's NFT Gateway to Cardano!

Please describe your proposed solution.

Ethereum is a great ecosystem that is the grandfather of many others, but in order to bring projects and developers into the ecosystem, we need to move towards a more structured environment where they are comfortable with the switch and have the help and resources that they need (motive and method) in order to accomplish this task.

With our highly capable team with over 50 years in coding and project management and related experiences, Fluxus’s goals are to not only provide value to the Cardano Ecosystem, but to take the experience and expertise and apply it to the projects on Ethereum. It is through providing the knowledge, work, and methodologies of migrating their project that we can reach the goals of interoperability that benefit everyone.

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

Fluxus will be the gateway by which other projects can migrate to Cardano. This will depend on where the projects are with regard to migrating to Cardano, but using Fluxus’s capabilities both coding and management, we will provide the specialized attention and resources to promote migration onto Cardano and facilitate this migration.

What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

Fluxus has the knowledge, time, and capability, but the main challenges that we foresee for us delivering are funding and an Ethereum Project’s willingness to migrate.

While Project Catalyst can mitigate the funding challenges, we know that the real work head or challenge for us delivering successfully (or determining level of success) will be finding willing projects to either migrate fully or facilitate Cardano-Ethereum interoperability. Though, our team is ready with all the resources necessary to accomplish these tasks!

Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

-- Q3 of 2022 –

  • Complete full on-boarding of team.
  • Begin marketing and out-reach to Ethereum Projects.
  • Begin migrating projects through ERC-20 converter or through other necessary means.

-- Q4 of 2022 –

  • Have migrated at least 2 projects to Cardano.
  • Continued marketing and out-reach to Ethereum Projects.
  • Begin marketing and out-reach to other EVM-compatible Blockchains.

-- Q1 of 2023 –

  • Continued marketing and out-reach to EVM-compatible blockchain projects.
  • Standardized methodologies for migrating EVM-compatible blockchain projects.
  • Have migrated at least 8 projects to Cardano.

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.

Coding: $30,000 (~400 hours @ $75/hr)

Marketing/Outreach: $4,000

Project Management: $3,500 (~70 hours @ $50/hr)

Total: $37,500 + tax (~7%) = ~$40,000

Please provide details of the people who will work on the project.

Together, we have decades of coding, project management, and business experience, and we want to use Fluxus’s skills to bring Cardano’s capabilities for interoperability to the forefront of this magnificent 3rd generation crypto!

If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

Though we have a plan/roadmap to get the Alliance to a point of sustainability, we will, most likely, have to apply for further funding in future rounds.

Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

The largest measure of progress will be by the number of projects that we have in the process of migrating or successfully migrated over to Cardano. Further, the impact of those migrations could be measured by the amount of assets (both FTs & NFTs) that these projects bring over or the value in ADA, ETH, or USD of these assets. Overall, we will be using highly quantifiable metrics to measure the level of success of the project.

In short:

We'd be measuring:

  • Amount of Ethereum NFT Projects that migrate to the Cardano Blockchain through Fluxus.
  • Overall amount of Ethereum or EVM-Based Projects that migrate to the Cardano Blockchain through Fluxus.
  • Amount of Value (ADA, ETH, or USD) that migrates onto the Cardano Blockchain through Fluxus.

These outcomes could easily be measured by the amount of fungible (FTs) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), assets, and projects that make their way onto Cardano through the ERC-20 converter or through new project developments of Ethereum-based projects on Cardano. These metrics could be updated at regular intervals, or, many of them, could be updated in real-time.

What does success for this project look like?

Success for Fluxus’s migration of projects to Cardano would be meeting the goal of 2 and 8 fully migrated projects over to Cardano by Q4 of 2022 and Q1 of 2023, respectively. Along with migration of projects, having a standardized and easy method developed to bring other projects onto Cardano or create interoperability would contribute to the success of the previous point and be indicative of future success of the project long after Project Catalyst Funding.

Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

This is a new proposal on Project Catalyst.
