Please describe your proposed solution

Our solution is to empower vulnerable and less privileged communities in East Africa by providing access to high-quality education. The platform will focus on offering courses in essential digital skills, including blockchain technology, computer literacy, and other vocational and academic subjects. Through EduTrek, individuals from underserved areas will gain the knowledge and skills needed to improve their livelihoods and participate in the digital economy.

What Edutrek will entail;

Computer Literacy: Basic to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, email usage, and online communication.

- **Blockchain Technology:**Introduction to Cardano blockchain, cryptocurrency, smart contracts, and how to leverage blockchain for business, finance, and development opportunities.

  • Coding and Programming: Courses in Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other languages to enable participants to pursue careers in software development and web design. We will partner with Uptodate Developers.

- Digital Entrepreneurship: Training on how to start and grow a digital business, access e-commerce platforms, and market products and services online.

- Cybersecurity: Providing foundational knowledge on how to protect personal and organizational data, which is crucial for the digital economy.

- Soft Skills Training: Courses on communication, problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork to enhance employability.

Our endeavor will.

  1. To spur innovation, encourage more cardano enthuasiast to get engange and learn about blockchain.
  2. Encourage cooperation and a sense of community within the Cardano ecosystem.
  3. Bring in fresh ideas and skills to Cardano to broaden its appeal.
  4. Present Cardano's possibilities to a larger group of people.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

Our group has expertise planning blockchain events that are a success. We'll make sure there's responsibility and trust by:

  1. Open reporting and control of the budget.
  2. Interaction for approval with the Cardano Foundation and community.
  3. Thorough organization and preparation to ensure a triumphant occasion.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Milestone 1: Milestone I

Website design/build:

Creation of beta version of the site.

Research and content creation.

Milestone 2: Milestone II

Website design/build:

  • Implement feedback on the beta version of the site
  • Execute code and design

Content:

  • Creation of courses & quiz content
  • Translation of Content
  • Pre & Post production of audiovisual, oofline and online content

Milestone 3: Milestone III

Website design/build, content:

  • Integration of the content onto the website in its different formats
  • Website testing
  • Introducing the platform on different Cardano platforms to reach different communities such as developers, women and youth, Project Catalyst Community.
  • Integration of user support service onto the the platform

Final Milestone: Final Milestone.

Upon completion of these key milestones, we will host weekly workshops on each course in order to present the topics to the community in a live format and allow interaction between instructors and users, answering doubts and receiving feedback.

The assignments will work from the beginning on their own goals as teams in order to move in an efficient way as a whole. Once the platform is online we should have weekly sessions with each course in order to cover the topic with the community on a live format so the teachers can also attend students' doubts.
