Please describe your proposed solution.

Pre-funding

Sustainable ADA has been focused on Impact Measurement since fund 6, and the team has past experience with in-depth universal impact assessments like the SDG, B-Impact, and GINN assessment including many others.

During Fund 6:

With the Cardano Aim team we helped with the research of adding SDG ratings to proposals in the Catalyst ecosystem.

Add SGD Ratings to proposals: <https://projectcatalyst.io/funds/6/f6-partnerships-for-global-adoption/add-sdg-ratings-to-proposals-aim>

Research in Applying Frameworks: <https://projectcatalyst.io/funds/6/f6-partnerships-for-global-adoption/research-in-applying-frameworks-aim>

During Fund 7:

Sustainable ADA during fund 7 did research to evaluate and look at different Impact measurement frameworks to find what works best for blockchain technology. We also did research on creating a token called the Sustainable Goals Token and the idea was to create a research based framework and platform for impact investing, monitoring and evaluation.

We created a white paper for both the Impact Measurement Tool & the Sustainable Goals Token:

Post-funding:

Post funding we are going to be taking the steps to research and develop a DAO framework for the Impact Web3 ecosystem. This proposal will allow us to take the proper steps in developing a decentralized community around impact measurement, investing, and verification.

Through this integration, we will be working with partners from outside the Cardano community. We will be bridging the Talk to Loop platform with our Proof of Impact Platform on Cardano. Incentivizing impact evaluators and data integrity at origin, giving the most vulnerable a means to be heard.

We will be researching how to best create this DAO and integrating the first stage of development to move toward a completely decentralized impact community.

In this first stage, we will be creating a Token for DAO members. This will be an NFT called the "Domino DAO Founders Pass". This will give members lifetime access to DAO activities. Over time we will allow for the burning and minting of the DAO Founder Passes and after we have created a pool of founders we will move into a New "Member DAO Pass".

As we expand to larger groups of members and new opportunities, this will also enable us to test new tools and scale the community in a way where all members have a voice and we are able to support all impact investors, and evaluators entering our ecosystem.

We want the Domino DAO to be the perfect place to onboard new users to Cardano and we believe by taking the proper steps in expanding this community we will be able to effectively reach this goal. This will be an organic growth method and allow us to efficiently and effectively scale our community for success.

What is Domino DAO?

Domino DAO (DD) is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) aiming to provide a governance system for the Proof of Impact Platform. and employ a diverse and locally based group of Impact Evaluators, with a focus being on community and grassroots led action.

Domino DAO will facilitate PIP governance, helping create rules and incentives for the platforms and equipping users and stakeholders with useful tools. The DAO will govern and manage the platform's token, which will allow token holders to participate in the platform's decision-making process.

What the Domino DAO will offer:

 • Platform governance: Domino DAO will create the rules and incentives for the Proof of Impact Platform's users and stakeholders.

 • Governance token management: The DAO will create and manage the platform's governance token, which will allow token holders to participate in the platform's decision-making process.

 • Community management: The DAO will manage the platform's community, including social media, forums, and events.

 • Community Education: Education for community members and access to all our Impact Web3 Products and tools

 • Impact Evaluation Certifications: Project Based Learning (PBL) course and certifications for Impact Evaluations

 • Opportunity to make the world a better place: Work in a decentralized community where you have the say and can make a difference in the world through the power of collaboration.

 • Impact Investing community: Foster a community of impact investors and through the Domino DAO and PIP create an easy investor-to-investment relations ship

Why do we need a Domino DAO?

The goal of the DAO is to create a local and global community of impact driven people, evaluators, entreneurs, activists and investors. Helping create a vibrant and inclusive community, focused on funding, growing, and rewarding impact projects and teams, investors, and evaluators.

The Domino DAO will act as a central base for the PIP and Sustainable ADA community. It will be a community hub where anyone from anywhere in the world can contribute and get compensated through the PIP token and other community incentives for participation.

Why include DIDs, Certified Credentials, & Impact Evaluation certifications

We will be researching a Project Based Learning education framework. A course and mandatory certification for anyone to become a 3rd party impact evaluator, enabling individuals to access a new income stream and develop digital literacy and employable skills for the digital economy.

 • This will allow evaluators to work for the Domino DAO and be third-party evaluators for project we track the impact of through PIP.
 • This opens up an employment opportunity but also will allow for evaluation in the future to be even more green wash proof.

Integrating with Proof Space:

We will be talking with the ProofSpace team to integrate their services into the Domino DAO community. This will enable us to enhance the capabilities of both our impact investors and evaluators.

How this will help DD?

This integration with Proof Space would allow for us to create DIDs and verifiable credentials for our community members and allow for identity to be wrapped into the Domino DAO ecosystem. Allowing evaluators to earn certifications for their impact evaluation experiences, and to connect verifiable IDs to our impact investors. Proof Space will allow us to build, validate, and scale a decentralized identity solution into the DAO community for Impact Web3.

This integration of Proof Space will allow our decentralized community to have:

Multi-level identity

 • Allows us to issue different levels of trust and put a verifiable qualification to the impact evaluators in the DD community. This will allow our community members to obtain a reputation and be held accountable.

Stronger Decentralised Governance

 • We will be able to implement better governance frameworks like a DAO trust registry and allow community members to hold recognized roles and give them decision-making power.

Enable Anonymity

 • Integrating selective disclosure and ZKPs will help us preserve member privacy and make stake holders retain higher levels of trust when interacting with the DAO ecosystem.

Target Market for Domino DAO:

 • The Domino DAO is designed for blockchain enthusiasts and impact investors who are interested in decentralized finance (DeFi), regenerative finance (ReFi) and governance, including:

 • Blockchain developers can use the Domino DAO to build decentralized applications and protocols that are governed by the community. The platform provides them with a secure and transparent framework for developing and testing their projects.

 • DeFi / ReFi investors can use the Domino DAO to invest in a range of projects that are governed by the community. The platform provides them with access to a diverse range of investment opportunities that are impactful, transparent and secure.

 • Governance experts can use the Domino DAO to contribute their expertise and insights to the community. They can help to shape the direction of the platform and ensure that it is governed in a fair and transparent manner.

 • Crypto enthusiasts who are interested in decentralized governance and finance can use the Domino DAO to participate in a community that shares their interests and values. They can contribute to the growth and development of the platform while learning about the latest trends and innovations in the space.

Institutional investors can use the Domino DAO to invest in a range of projects and protocols that are governed by the community. The platform provides them with a transparent and secure framework for investing in an equitable and sustainable future, where people and planet come before profit.

Integrating Talk to Loop with PIP & Impact NFTs:

Problem:

“Blockchain technology can’t solve for the human factor. If someone inputs garbage data onto a blockchain, that garbage is recorded forever and can inadvertently become a flawed source of truth. Thus, an analysis of data hygiene is a critical precursor to any blockchain deployment.” – Sheila Warren, Platform Head – Blockchain, Digital Currency, and Data Policy, World Economic Forum.

Why this approach?

In order to address the challenges of ensuring data quality and providing a means for those underserved and unheard to be heard and included, we have partnered with trusted and reputable local NGOs and impact organisations. We aim to pilot how web3, and Cardano blockchain technologies can be leveraged for positive social impact as we believe these tools and stakeholders can work in tandem to help accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through a grassroots led approach. Communities will be given the opportunity to develop and acquire digital skills and discover digital economic opportunities.

How it works with Talk to Loop:

Interactive Voice Response and Reply (IVRR)

Feedback should not be restricted by literacy, connectivity, or language. That’s why Loop created IVRR.

1. Feedback shared

Recipient of aid records their feedback in their chosen language by calling our free phone number (e.g. 6464 in Somalia), from any phone.

2. Content moderated

Loop moderators transcribe, translate and tag the feedback before it is visible on the platform. Organisations are notified of feedback about them. Aggregate data of trends is visible on the statistics page.

3. Reply Submitted

Anyone, including organisations, can reply directly to feedback, in their own time, in their own language, on any device, to stay engaged remotely.

4. Response created

Replies are also translated, and an audio recording is created for the original author of the feedback. The reply is published publicly on the Loop platform, providing it is not sensitive.

5. Closing the loop

The author receives an automated phone call during which they can hear the reply read out to them in their chosen language. The author can then choose to respond immediately, request a call back the next day or simply hangup. The feedback loop is closed!

With the support of the Cardano Project Catalyst funding, we will be able to facilitate the integration of this data into Proof of Impact NFTs as part of the metadata in dynamic NFTs using CIP 68.

Who will we engage?

We are engaging the local community in Palawan, the Philippines, alongside partners:

Palawan NGO Network Inc. made up of 39 NGOs and Impact Organisations.

Talk to Loop (Loop).

Loop is led in the Philippines by the Philippines Loop National Coordination Council (LNCC): composed of six people representing seven large national networks and 40 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).

The LNCC, is composed of six people who represent 7 large national networks and 4000 CSOs. This includes: NAPC-VDC, DRRNet, CLEARNet, CDRN, BMCSOP, and ECOWEB.

They all come from different geographical parts of the Philippines and represent different actors in the ecosystem: Government Disaster Response agencies, Civil Society Organisations and more. ECOWEB hosts the Loop staff. The Director of ECOWEB is the Chair of LNCC (the role rotates on an annual basis).

There is a national Forum made up of 40 member CSOs and growing, who have all committed to using and improving Loop, to serve their local communities.

How we will demonstrate and prove our impact?

We will demonstrate and prove our impact by using Loop’s rigorous tried and tested model, and integrate the data into the Proof of Impact Platform NFT4Good Pilot Project - Streets of ADA.

Solution is unique because:

Loop is paving the way for the accountability revolution, by ensuring the voices of affected communities are at the heart of organisational decision-making.

Loop enables the gathering of feedback 24/7 online or offline

Reach people where they are, on a device that they already own or can easily access. Loop helps organisations to cross the digital divide. Our patented Interactive Voice Response and Reply (IVRR) technology makes it easy for anybody, regardless of their literacy, to raise their voices and inform decision-making.

Why it's important to Cardano and beyond?

Through community collaboration currently external to the Cardano community, and by onboarding them into the Cardano ecosystem, this will unlock greater diversity, inclusion and spark further innovation and collective problem solving. Accessibility and inclusion are at the heart of the Loop platform. Feedback submitted in one language is translated to 15 others, with more languages being added all the time. Feedback is translated using a combination of a dedicated moderation team and machine translation technology. This ensures the highest quality results across languages:

عربى, Bemba, Bahasa Indonesia, Cebuano, Chichewa, Español, English, Français, Lozi, Somali (af Maay), Polski, Somali (Maxatiri), Tagalog, українська

Drive Cardano's Impact Ecosystem

By engaging local communities and working with diverse impact partners across sectors, we can drive and bring richness to the Cardano impact ecosystem.

Our goal is to inspire and onboard users from creating a Proof of Impact mindset

Project Highlights

We have already onboarded the Palawan NGO Network Inc. made up of 39 NGOs and organisations in the Philippines. An award winning documentary about the team and their mission to challenge corruption, protect land defenders and the planet is shown in Delikado.

Why is the Impact Evaluator Consortium so important?

Bringing economic digital identity to the unconnected, the unheard is essential if we are to be true to the values and vision of Cardano. By connecting partners from the Cardano4Good community with communities and partners in the NGO world, the scale and potential for impact is far greater.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

The Domino DAO, directly addresses the challenge of developing tools and infrastructure for Cardano DAOs by providing a comprehensive platform for impact measurement, evaluation, governance, and community management. This integration aims to provide verifiable and immutable records of the impact and responses to the feedback. It adds an additional layer of transparency and accountability to the decision-making process.

To validate the feasibility of the approach, the project can undertake the following steps:

 • Pilot Implementation: The project can conduct a pilot implementation in the targeted community, such as Palawan in the Philippines. This would involve deploying the IVRR technology, engaging with the local community, and collecting feedback on specific issues. The pilot can help assess the effectiveness of the technology, the engagement levels of the community, and the overall feasibility of the approach.

 • User Feedback and Evaluation: Throughout the implementation, the project can gather feedback from the users, including both the individuals providing feedback and the organizations receiving it. This feedback can provide insights into the usability, accessibility, and impact of the platform. It can help identify any challenges or improvements needed for a successful implementation.

 • Data Analysis and Impact Assessment: The project can analyze the collected feedback data, including the trends and patterns observed. This analysis can provide valuable insights into the issues, concerns, and needs of the community. Additionally, the integration of the data into Proof of Impact NFTs can be evaluated to assess the effectiveness of showcasing impact and accountability.

 • Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships: The project can assess the level of engagement and collaboration achieved with local NGOs, impact organizations, and the wider community. This evaluation can provide an understanding of the project's ability to foster partnerships, leverage local knowledge, and drive collective problem-solving.

By combining the outcomes of the pilot implementation, user feedback, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement, the project can validate the feasibility and effectiveness of its approach. Catalyst Journey:

We joined Project Catalyst, Cardano’s decentralized innovation fund, during fund 4. After applying and learning from both funds 4 and 5 along with lots of support from Cardano community members and teams, we were able to construct a strong proposal together that focused on our goals and ambitions for Sustainable ADA, and the Cardano community’s goals. We submitted a proposal focused on helping Grow Cardano, and Grow Africa.

With this funding, we had more capacity to focus on researching and sharing stories from change-makers in Africa and the diaspora, who are engaging with Cardano, creating a better tomorrow, today.

Thanks to the Cardano community and the use of their voting power from holding and staking ADA, we successfully secured the funding we were seeking. This helped us to take significant steps towards fulfilling our vision and mission having secured these crucial and helpful funds.

Through our time in the Project Catalyst ecosystem, we have been able to create a lot of strong and exciting partnerships with projects and businesses all across the world. This has led us to develop new ambitions for the work we do and to expand beyond education.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The cost of the project represents value for money as it enables the creation of the Domino DAO for the Impact Web3 ecosystem. In hand, we will be able to bring groundbreaking tools to the Cardano ecosystem and bring more visibility and recognition of impactful projects building on Cardano. By investing in Domino DAO, you can unlock new possibilities for the Cardano community. Including a new way to onboard new users to Cardano. The community will gain access to valuable insights, collaboration opportunities, and inspiration to drive positive change.

The costs are justified and a modest ask given the average salaries for a graduate, and postgraduate researcher and Teacher in our sectors, and given our track record in and out of the Cardano community to date based out of USA (Salt Lake City), and western Europe (London and Paris).
