Documentary "We are changing the world": Cardano Developers Stories.

Please describe your proposed solution.

Create a Documentary Series which tells the story of the Cardano Community in South America and its outcomes, connecting the stories of this community of developers and tell it to the world.

1. The Challenge: To share Cardano's developers ecosystem stories in the universal audiovisual language of film and streaming with the mass public and the community, in order to generate adoption focused on motivate for more developers to join to Cardano and demonstrate how this abstract and digital tool can transform lives. There will be episodes launching every month that tell the stories behind the Cardano developers ecosystem making it closer to the community and the rest of the world.

2. Opportunities: The hypothesis is that blockchain, as an industry, and Cardano, as a project, are still in the early stages of development. Its knowledge remains exclusive to certain niches of people interested in the technology in this case the developer ecosystem. Telling the story of Cardano through a cinematographic language allows us to understand how this technology is able to adapt to people's lives. There is still little audiovisual material on the subject and almost none in Spanish. Once the series begins to get attention it can scale to other platforms and different territories. It is also the opportunity to create and open-source bank of videos so anyone in the community can create content with it. This material will be invaluable in the future, when we can create a global documentary with it.

3.- Road Map:

Stage 1: Launch of the idea, creation of social networks, logos and art. DONE

Stage 2: Pre-production, story selection, and planning of streaming and filming. IN PROCESS

Stage 4: Participate and streaming the whole Plutus Hackaton. DONE

Stage 5: Shooting of the stories and surroundings (Interviews). IN PROCESS

Stage 6: Editing and post-production. IN PROCESS

Stage 7: Broadcasting and Distribution. IN PROCESS

Stage 8: Select new stories and locations for upcoming episodes. TBA

Stage 9: Deliver an open source cloud to access to the edited and unedited material so anyone can create content for Cardano with it. TBA

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

To have a material to show the developers ecosystem in Cardano that tells the story of its network will address interest in new developers to join the ecosystem. We want to create content to engage the attention of developers and people interested in building in Cardano, that will be shown in a documentary series and by the creation of a open source bank of videos related to Cardano that can be used.

Cardano wants to attracts high-calibre Developers, users and investors and developers have ample resources to work on platforms that suit their interests, to reach that statement we need to create tools to reach the new developers and users and we believe that film and content creation is the best way to expand the message from the community, this material has to be high-calibre as well to engage new people through high quality videos with a sense of community and conversations, having people around to talk with, this material will be edited and distribute in several media and the unedited will be available in the cloud so anyone can use it.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

There is 3 main measures to track the project:

1.- Measure level of impact in our videos by view numbers and interaction. We will measure it by videos platforms views, number of comments, and number of subscribers; and by comparing these metrics each month. This will show that people are watching and engaging our video content, and will indicate whether interest is growing, declining, or staying the same.

2.- We can measure the numbers of people attending to the next hackathons or developer ecosystems activities. We will measure it by taking a register of who is attended at each session, with that we can see if the developers still interested in the activities but more important if new attenders are coming trough the videos we are producing (ask for referral in registration).

3.- Amount of users using the data from the cloud to create new content related to the Cardano ecosystem.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

To share the outputs and results of the project, the following plans will be implemented:

  1. Broadcasting and Distribution: The documentary series will be made available for streaming on popular platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, Odysee and other streaming platforms. These platforms will allow the series to reach a wide audience globally. Additionally, efforts will be made to have the series featured on relevant blockchain and technology-focused websites and media outlets.
  2. Social Media and Online Presence: Social media channels, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, will be utilized to promote the documentary series and engage with the Cardano community. Regular updates, behind-the-scenes content, and teasers will be shared to generate interest and anticipation for the series. The project's website will serve as a hub for information, updates, and additional resources related to the documentary.
  3. Collaboration with Cardano Community: The outputs of the project will be shared with the Cardano community, including developers, enthusiasts, and stakeholders. Community engagement will be encouraged through various channels, such as dedicated forums, community meetups, and online events. Feedback and suggestions from the community will be valued and considered for future episodes and improvements.
  4. Outreach to Other Communities: Efforts will be made to expand the reach of the documentary series beyond the Cardano community. This includes targeting blockchain enthusiasts, technology communities, film festivals, and other relevant platforms. By showcasing the transformative power of Cardano and the stories of its developers, the aim is to generate interest and attract new audiences to the project.
  5. Collaboration with Media Outlets: Partnerships with media outlets, both traditional and digital, will be sought to increase the visibility and reach of the documentary series. This may involve collaborating with production companies, journalists, influencers, and thought leaders who have an interest in blockchain technology and can help amplify the project's message.

Regarding further research and development activities, the results generated from the project can be utilized in various ways:

  1. Informing Future Episodes: The feedback, impact, and opportunities that arise as a result of the completed project will be valuable in shaping future episodes of the documentary series. By understanding the reception and areas of interest within the Cardano community and the broader audience, subsequent episodes can be tailored to address specific themes, developments, or challenges.
  2. Inspiring New Projects: The documentary series can serve as a source of inspiration for new projects within the Cardano ecosystem. The stories shared in the series may spark ideas for innovative applications, collaborations, or research initiatives. The experiences and achievements of the developers featured in the series can act as a catalyst for further exploration and development within the Cardano community.
  3. Educational Resource: The documentary series can be used as an educational resource to introduce and educate individuals about Cardano and blockchain technology. It can be utilized in academic settings, workshops, and training programs to provide real-world examples and insights into the potential of blockchain technology, particularly in the South American context.
  4. Archiving and Documentation: The documentary series and the associated raw footage can be archived and documented for future reference. This archive can serve as a historical record of the Cardano community in South America and then the World, capturing its growth, challenges, and successes. It can be used by researchers, historians, and analysts to study the development of blockchain technology and its impact on communities.

Overall, the goal is to maximize the reach and impact of the documentary series by sharing it with the Cardano community, the wider public, and relevant stakeholders. The outputs of the project will be leveraged to inspire, educate, and promote further research and development activities within the Cardano ecosystem and the broader blockchain industry.
