Solution

The reforestation of the affected villages and the establishment of a tree management system, NFT will help to fight against landslides and thus save human lives and ecosystems

Problem

Heavy rain battered over Kalehe and caused the disappearance of forest ecosystems and landslides. Due to deforestation, we thought of reforestation and production of NFTs to monitor the trees.

DEFORESTATION CONTROL IN KALEHE

Please describe your proposed solution.

Reforestation by planting trees to limit landslides, establishment of a tree management system and production of NFT tokens.

How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

The proposed project draws its vision from CARDANO forest and for the Products and integration challenge, it corresponds all the more so as a platform for disaster management and production of NFTs connected to 20.000 trees will be implemented on the Cardano blockchain.

How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

The success of the project will ultimately be measured by the number of trees to be reforested and NFTs produced and connected in the CARDANO ecosystem but also by projecting the potential for profitable transformation and the impact of Cardano's interventions on the target environment by integrating solutions to environmental challenges while taking advantage of the interventions of CARDANO Forest.

Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

Our project will be shared with the main communities and the Cardano ecosystem according to the following plan:

moth 1: Study of environments affected by disasters

Moth 2: land preparation for nurseries;

moth 3: bothering flowerbeds and seedlings;

moth 4: Seedling care

moth 5: Logistics and deployment of trees in Kalehe with the collaboration of the local community;

moth 6: Creation of a disaster management platform and production of NFTs connected to trees.

Moth 7: monitoring and evaluation of trees to be planted and establishment of local seedling management clubs;

Moth 8: implementation of the solution on the blockchain.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Our ability to carry out this project is justified by the fact that we have a better level of professional competition in the field of the environment and having implemented similar projects in other communities. Very interested, with our 20 years of experience in rural development specifically in environmental management, we are thinking of implementing it with suggestions and bringing more to the growth of the CARDANO ecosystem through the implementation of our solution and local communities where we will solve the problem of deforestation and fight against landslides.

What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

This project aims to contribute to the fight against landslides, the fight against deforestation and the preservation of the environment through reforestation (planting trees) in the disaster-stricken areas of KALEHE in order to save human lives and ecosystems.

Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

Calendar of activities:

Moth 1: Study of environments affected by disasters

Moth 2: land preparation for nurseries;

moth 3: bothering flowerbeds and seedlings;

moth 4: Seedling care

moth 5: Logistics and deployment of trees in Kalehe with the collaboration of the local community;

moth 6 : Creation of a disaster management platform and production of NFTs connected to trees.

Moth 7:monitoring and evaluation of trees to be planted and establishment of local seedling management clubs;

moth 8: implementation of the solution on the blockchain.

Please describe the deliverables, outputs and intended outcomes of each milestone.

moth 1: Identification of 3 villages affected by disasters

moth 2: soil preparation for nurseries on the production site;

moth 3: Development of flowerbeds and sowing by the project team;

moth 4: Sowing and production of 20,000 seedlings;

moth 5: Logistics and deployment of trees in Kalehe with the collaboration of the local community;

Moth 6 : Planting trees and Creation of a disaster management platform;

Moth 7: monitoring and evaluation of trees to be planted and establishment of local seedling management clubs;

Moth 8: implementation of the solution on the blockchain and production of NFTs connected to trees.

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

Budget forecast

moth 1: Research and Identification of 3 villages affected by disasters: 75000 Ada

moth 2: soil preparation for nurseries on the production site; 5000 ad

moth 3: Development of flowerbeds and sowing by the project team; 10,0000 Adah

moth 4: Sowing and production of 20,000 seedlings; 6500 Adah

moth 5: Logistics and deployment of trees in Kalehe with the collaboration of the local community; 20,000 Adah

Moth 6: Planting trees: 10,000 Ada

Moth 7: -Creation of a disaster management system; 31,000 Ada

-monitoring and evaluation of trees to be planted and establishment of local seedling management clubs; 8,000

Moth 8: implementation of the solution on the blockchain and production of NFTs connected to trees. 13,000 ADA

Total : 111 000 Ada

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The proposal of this project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem, especially since it corresponds to local realities in terms of the production of seedlings and the establishment of the disaster management system which can generate NFTs and its implementation is irrefutable.
