We will develop a decentralized, interactive map product built as a Mendix plugin on the Cardano blockchain, integrating both cadastral and satellite data layers, that can be used by anyone. This will provide developers, entrepreneurs, and activists with powerful tools to create, deploy, and enhance all new or existing projects related to land management, spatial data, and environmental initiatives–or any dApp that could make use of a geographic user interface.

Our project will provide the Cardano community with an open, decentralized mapping tool that can be integrated into various dApps, enabling land management, urban planning, and environmental monitoring. This fosters innovation, transparency, and real-world utility, increasing Cardano’s value.

By offering a transparent and open-source product, this product will allow developers and users to apply land and spatial geographical data and information more easily, fostering greater trust and collaboration. Our platform will serve as a catalyst for innovators, empowering them with the resources and infrastructure needed to bring creative solutions to life in the areas of land administration, sustainability, and community-driven development.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources

To accommodate for the fluctuation in ADA price, which creates a conversion risk and a potential budget shortfall, we are using the October 2023 historical low (October 2023) base price of $0.25 ADA to calculate our expenses.

We will employ 1 senior Mendix software engineers ($130/hr = 520 ADA/hr), 1 systems analyst ($100/hr = 400 ADA/hr) and 1 project manager ($100/hr = 400 ADA/hr) to complete this work over a three month period. The systems analyst role includes requirements analysis, documentation, user acceptance testing and community management.
