Solution

Create a “DAO for Fundraising”, which allows accounting to be audited in real time, through the blockchain. Donors will have the possibility to see how much they earn and how the donations are spent.

Problem

NGOs receive donations and donors don´t know exactly how they spend their money, generating distrust in the management of the managed assets, reducing the demand for donations despite the offer.

DAO for Fundraising "a system that be a transparent banking clockwork"

Please describe your proposed solution.

Create a a system that be a transparent banking clockwork. The main idea is to be able to allow donors to track where their donations go using the blockchain.

We do this by creating a smart contract, using the Cardano network, that can help each donor track where the tokens it has donated to the donor Project of the aforementioned Program go.

A high-performance team must be created to work on the execution and start-up of the project:

  • Facundo Couto in Strategy and Public Relations. Mentor and Entrepreneur in the Health sector. Responsible for Human Capital Management.
  • Cristhian Tejada in Mechanics and Programming. Blockchain Structure in Solidity. Responsible for the Management of the Technical Team.
  • Francisco Montenegro in Crypto Asset Strategy. Blockchain Consultant. In charge of Financial Management.
  • Héctor Guillén in International Grants. External consultant specializing in obtaining non-refundable Seed Capital from Foundations and International Organizations.

The requested 22,500 ADA will be entered into the DAO (or later registered) to be monitored.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community.

Donations will generate demand for ADA, appreciating its monetary value and use in impact projects, easily measurable quantitatively by the transactional amount.

This information will be freely accessible and available in the DAO, plus the periodic reports required by the Cardano Ideascale Community.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

We constitute a team of 4 people with complementary capabilities, track records and verifiable reputation in each of our specialties, who can endorse and guarantee the success of the project. The requested money will be used to generate enough cash flow to begin developing the project and to obtain future resources from other sources (Foundations and International Organizations)

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

  • Month 0 to 1
  • Concept development and detailed planning.
  • Make the business plan for the conceptualization stage and future possibilities for the development of the final product.
  • Presentation of the Business Plan to the Cardano Ideascale Community, open to debate.

>- Month 1 to 4

  • Write smart contracts to have optimal tokens for the donation process.
  • The token must obey the criteria and objectives of the donor entity and that these coincide with the criteria and objectives of the donor.
  • Presentation of programming code results to the Cardano Ideascale Community.

>- Month 4 to 6

  • Start creating movement in the DAO with self-donations and monitor that the destination of the resource is assigned as required by the donor in the chosen campaign.
  • Internal verification of the optimal functioning of the programming code.

>- Month 6 to 8

  • Invite members of the Global Crypto Ecosystem to test the system by making micro-donations and give them the opportunity to test the optimal functioning of the smart contracts.
  • Make in-person events in El Zonte Beach and Mexico City.

>- Month 8 to 10

Through in-person and online conferences, present the conceptual project at conferences for entities external to the crypto ecosystem in Mexico City, inviting them to test the system in beta phase to optimize according to market requirements.

Entities:

  • Rotary Club
  • Lions Club
  • Foundations
  • Universities (Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry)
  • Medical Professional Colleges

>- Month 12

With the concept optimized to go to the market to raise funds for NGOs, launch the project to begin operating in the market with the cash flow generated in the conceptual stage, plus the raising of new funds from Ideascales and others interested organizations and entities:

  • Cardano Ideascale F12
  • Rotary Club
  • Lions Club
  • Foundations
  • Universities (Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry)
  • Medical Professional Colleges

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

  • Facundo Couto in Strategy and Public Relations. Mentor and Entrepreneur in the Health sector. Responsible for Human Capital Management. With years of relationship and professional contacts in Universities of Medicine and Dentistry in Spain and Latin America, he will be the link with the Academic World.
  • Cristhian Tejada in Mechanics and Programming. Blockchain Structure in Solidity. Responsible for the Management of the Technical Team. With extensive experience in open banking and the crypto ecosystem, he is the technical mind of the project, making it possible to link both worlds.
  • Francisco Montenegro in Crypto Asset Strategy. Blockchain Consultant. In charge of Financial Management. With extensive experience in capital markets and tokenization, he will be the financial mind of the project.
  • Héctor Guillén in International Grants. External consultant specializing in obtaining non-refundable Seed Capital from Foundations and International Organizations. With a lot of experience in obtaining capital for social projects, he is our external consultant linked to Foundations and Donee Organizations, very necessary in later stages.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources.

  • Business center (Regus, global coworking, u$2.698 VAT included)
  • In-Person Events (u$1500 aprox)
  • Travels and acommodations (between San Salvador and Mexico City, u$1500 aprox)
  • Software development (programador u$2000 aprox)
  • Marketing (Google Ads, u$1000 aprox)

Total (aprox) u$ 8.698 / ADA 22.500 (depending on the currency exchange rate)

The remaining resources will be used to finance the Project "Functional Habits at School"

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The 4 entrepreneurs who form the hard core of the project will not charge fees to carry out the project. We are motivated to take the project to higher levels and create a perfect system for collecting donations for different causes. The programmer's expense is approximately 2000 dollars, which is possibly valued at more, but we count on the altruistic motivation of all our staff. The other expenses will be to have physical space, marketing and in-person events that provide support and dissemination, in order to scale the proposal outside the crypto ecosystem.
