Due to the fact that in South America, a majority of internet users gain access to the web through Apps. Our focus will be to develop a decentralized App that will give all of its users freedom and ease of use. Our team will be partnering with Techademia to implement a handcrafted, Learn To Earn course with a year of development in selected universities in LatAm. Networking events that are organized in Ecuador and Paraguay with a focus in Cuenca and Asuncion will be used as a way to launch the d-edTech in surrounding regions. Students will have access to this platform through websites and we would like to request funds to allow access in the form of a downloaded dApp for iphone and android. The course is specifically designed to be an introductory set of lessons, educating students on the intricacies of blockchain technology. Students will utilize a project-based course similar to Gimbalabs built for Spanish speakers. Major concepts that will be taught but not limited to include:
Introduction to the Cardano Platform
Smart contracts in a plutus space
Writing your first smart contract: Locking funds for the future.
Simple payment smart contract
Authorize payment smart contract
Pay unless explicit rejection smart contract
Many poor nations do not have computer access and most of their internet participation is done through the usage. By offering the dApp our team hopes to ac ehive an increase in the number of catalyst proposals, an increase in participation of cardano's local community centers and the dApps impact on educational inclusion
The main challenge we foresee is scalability and adoption. The earning pool will need to grow as the student pool grows. We plan to maintain this project by gaining support from investors, educational institutions, governments as well as the Cardano community.
At the same time we think onboarding a desirable amount of students at first, will be a new challenge. We plan to utilize our networking events to garner as much interest as possible in the project.
