Solution

The CNFT Alliance will build a DAO that brings the NFT and gaming sector of the ecosystem together, and, in phase 2, we plan to build a launchpad platform that would utilize this DAO.

Problem

Currently, there are multiple segmented DAOs within the Cardano ecosystem that cover specific projects, but there isn’t a DAO or launchpad that covers a sector of the ecosystem.

CNFT Alliance DAO & Launchpad

Please describe your proposed solution.

The CNFT Alliance proposes that a CNFT Alliance DAO be built to facilitate governance over the CNFT Alliance that will be partnered with a multitude of different NFT projects, DeFi, gaming, and many other projects.

The goal of this solution would be to create a community DAO that would function for governance of the CNFT Alliance, most importantly for the Alliance’s phase 2 of building a Launchpad for NFT, gaming-based, and NFT DeFi projects.

Though, there have been multiple projects that have attempted to do this to varying degrees of success. An example would be Flickto. Though, we would be creating a strong foundation with a strong business and sustainability model that would ensure the successful development of this DAO.

With our highly capable team with over 50 years in coding and project management related experience, the CNFT Alliance’s goals are to not only provide value through the development of this DAO, but to provide a method of growing out the Cardano Ecosystem for projects and users alike!

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

The CNFT alliance address the challenge by providing effective collaboration management platforms that organize the community’s intentions and actions. Beyond creating a hub for NFT & gaming projects to seek resources and governance, the CNFT Alliance would be working to de-clutter project Catalyst by providing an alternative avenue for funding within the Cardano Ecosystem.

What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

The main challenge would be funding. We have many industry experts and individuals who are ready to build the CNFT Alliance DAO, but funding is needed to keep these individuals employed with the CNFT Alliance. Though, this is why we are seeking Project Catalyst funding.

Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

-- Q3 of 2022 –

  • Implement the CNFT Alliance Tokenomics
  • Begin Public Sale of Token
  • Begin development of DAO governance functionalities/contracts

-- Q4 of 2022 –

  • Finish Token Distribution
  • Finish DAO platform and UI

-- Q1-2 of 2023 –

  • Continue to develop upon the DAO UI/UX
  • Have the first projects voted on and funded through the launchpad platform.

Together, we have decades of Cardano and business experience. We know that the Cardano DAO ecosystem can be upgraded with our proposal, so we set forth to build the CNFT Alliance DAO.

If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

Though we have a plan/roadmap to get the Alliance to a point of sustainability, we will, most likely, have to apply for further funding in future rounds.

Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

We know that timelines can have fluctuations, and this could happen with ours due to the many different methods of token distribution that we could use. That being said, we could use a more milestone based approach towards the end-goal of a functioning DAO and launchpad.

Though, specifically we would also be measuring:

  • The number of participants of the CNFT Alliance DAO.
  • The number of holders of the CNFT Alliance Governance Token.
  • The number of projects funded and number of projects completed.

Most of these metrics would be easily trackable through the token policy ID and estimates of ownership of the token could be estimated by the number of wallets holding the token. The number of participants could be, equally as easily, obtained through the voting process.

Importantly, we would be able to provide this information quickly and, in some cases, in real-time.

What does success for this project look like?

Success for this project would be the successful and seamless implementation of a CNFT Alliance token that holds its value and utility. Developing phase 2, the launchpad, within a year and having the first proposals being funded within a year.

Overall, we’d use the metrics listed above to measure our levels of success, but having a sustainable DAO, with a governance token that is valued, and, ultimately, a launchpad capable of funding projects that the community votes on would be a great marker of success.

Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

This is a new proposal on Project Catalyst.
