Clarity DAO Incubator

We will provide a DAO incubator program to existing Cardano Communities.

We have a suite of primitive DAO tooling products that we will provide access too. Some are ready now, some are in development.

1. NFT Minting service (Ready):

Use our CNFT generation bot to randomize layered artwork based on a predetermined rarity chart.

Upload CNFTs to the Cardano Blockchain.

Mint your CNFTs from any website.

2. CC Bot (Ready):

Verify ownership of CNFT's by Policy ID.

Verify delegation to specific Stake Pool by Pool ID.

Add/remove roles based on CNFT delegation status.

Provide exclusive access to content based on role managed by CC Bot.

3. Escrow Service (2ish month timeline):

Control Escrow agreements on Cardano using manual user input to verify completion of agreements.

Securely transfer Cardano Native Assets.

Assign an arbitrator to fairly resolve disputes on-chain.

4. Clarity Protocol (6-12 month timeline)

Create and manage DAOs without writing any code

Establish governance rules and execute votes on-chain

Manage treasury funds

Contribute to Clarity's open smart contract library to earn rewards

While we provide primitive DAO tooling to these communities and gather their feedback, we will be building our on-chain DAO infrastructure with our partners at MLabs.

As our on-chain DAO tooling is released we will give these tools to incubator participants.

By creating a highly collaborative community surrounding the development of our DAO tooling we will be able to ensure we are building products that the community can use to flourish and grow. We want to enable creators and communities on Cardano to build new, viable on chain DAOs. We want to lower the barrier to entry for people to create, manage, and interact with DAOs.

Our ability to find enough creators and communities that want to become DAOs on Cardano. To mitigate this risk we will continue to increase our presence in the community to share what we are providing/building. We will also financially incentivize creators/communities on the assumption we are successful with this proposal.

Delayed development timelines. While we are moving as fast as we can to develop our on-chain DAO tooling smart contract library. We are confident about the timelines we have presented.

1 month: Source and onboard existing Cardano projects wanting to become DAOs. If interested in being part of this incubation program please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/B6Es7Xx1z9yyVGp4A

2 months: Have all incubator cohort integrated with existing DAO tooling that is relevant to them.

2-6 months: Communicate with each incubator participant on a biweekly basis to gather feedback and discuss happenings of the community/project.

6-12 months: Transition incubator cohort to on-chain DAO tooling. This On-chain DAO tooling is part of our partnership with MLabs to create the Clarity protocol, an open source DAO tooling smart contract library protocol on the Cardano Blockchain.

50,000: equally distributed to incubation participants to further their progress. We plan to cap the incubator at 10. We want to strategically inject >= 5,000 into each incubator participant. We will equally split $50,000 of this catalyst funding between incubator participants.

20,000: Development of iterations of primitive DAO tooling suite carried out by internal team. Team salaries. Incubator specific work we will spend time on includes:

Development of product iterations

Incubator Operations, Incubator Marketing, Incubator Recruiting

DAO incubation program: Clear Contracts

Logan Panchot (https://www.linkedin.com/in/logan-panchot/) and Justin Schreiner (https://www.linkedin.com/in/justinschreiner/) will be the touch points for all incubator participants. Logan and Justin will work directly with incubator participants to provide them with primitive DAO tooling and gather feedback/insights from then as well.

The last vital team members will be everyone in the incubator. We will rely on our fellow incubators to collaborate, share ideas, form partnerships, and do everything to push their project and the others projects forward. We want this incubator to be a Magnet for well intentioned collaboration.

DAO tooling: Clarity (Clear Contracts/MLabs)

The on-chain DAO tooling being build is a joint effort between Clear Contacts (Business operations) and MLabs (Technical Development).

Scheduled biweekly meeting with incubator cohort members to gather feedback and progress.

Scheduled: We will host a community twitter space intermittently through out the next five months to update progress, hear from incubator participants, and hear from the community.

1 month goal: 10 existing Cardano Communities utilizing our tooling.

3 month: Create and finalize marketing/development plan and budget with catalyst funding for each project. We want to strategically inject >= 5,000 into each incubator participant. We will equally split $50,000 of this catalyst funding between incubator participants.

6-12 month goal: All incubator members running on-chain DAOs using Clarity protocol.

If proposal is successful, we plan to carry out an incubation program with a second cohort.

Success for us would be increasing collaboration in the Cardano ecosystem by providing a light incubator framework to communities who can utilize our products. Success will be us enabling and helping communities and creators in the Cardano ecosystem to go from idea to functioning on chain DAO.

This is an expansion on our funded proposal from fund7: <https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/382311>

In the next two months we will bring to market proof of concept of templetization of a plutus smart contract so non technical individuals can interact with them.

We are expanding on this audited, no code smart contract library to provide DAO tooling to the community.
