Please describe your proposed solution

The proposed solution is to organize the first face-to-face workshop event for the Cardano community in India to discuss and learn about CIP-1694, DReps, and governance in the Voltaire era. Through a full day workshop the attendees will get to learn about upcoming Cardano governance implementation, with a specific focus on CIP-1694 and the DRep system and how they can participate in Governance. Also facilitate discussions and gather feedback from community members, and provide guidance about participating in governance.

Time: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (Date is to be decided)

Fostering active community participation is essential for the success of Cardano's governance model. This workshop will emphasize the importance of engagement from diverse stakeholders, including regular participants, DReps, Stake Pool Operators (SPOs), and Ada holders .

Bengaluru is selected as the location for this workshop. Bengaluru saw a sizable turnout during the local event for Cardano Summit 2023 and so will be the ideal location to hold this first in the region workshop. The venue selected will be easily accessible.

As Cardano progresses towards its decentralized and community-driven governance model, it is crucial to raise awareness and actively involve the broader ecosystem in this pivotal transition. The proposed workshop event aims to educate the community on the mechanisms and processes that enable their participation in Cardano's governance.

Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of CIP-1694, its implications for the future of Cardano, and how they can contribute to shaping the ecosystem's evolution. They will also learn about DReps and their vital role in Governance, how they can become a DRep as well as participate in governance as ADA holders.

Our team, Lambdac, is an unincorporated volunteer collective united by a shared commitment to make meaningful contributions within the Cardano ecosystem. Comprising experienced Software Engineers, Plutus Pioneers, as well as skilled Public Relations and Project Managers, we bring diverse expertise to drive impactful projects.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources

The budget is for 100 participants who sign up for slots on a first come first serve basis. The proposed venue is Hotel Taj, MG Road, Bengaluru.

  • Venue charges for the day, including audio video setup = 6000 ADA

  • Lunch and refreshments @ 75A/person = 7500 ADA

  • Pamphlets, brochures and handouts from infographics and docs published by IntersectMBO and IOG for governance education @ 15 ADA/person = 1500 ADA
