Caricatures for Migration

Please describe your proposed solution.

When I got to see Charles videos I also got hooked by the message and energy and especially by his life mission to create better systems for all. At my elderly age, I saw many inspiring leaders and Charles is definitely one of them. This was my entry point into blockchain and Cardano. When I started to interact with the Catalyst community I found a place where my experience and creativity could support the ecosystem growth.

First I started with creating the hoskintoons.com NFT project, which was also recognized by Charles in one of his videos

and I am looking into using my expertise to promote Cardano in a unique way and also through migrating projects from Ethereum Caricature for migration The idea for this proposal is Caricature for migration, a weekly caricature (Caricature) that will show the advantages of the Cardano blockchain compared with Ethereum. This proposal will focus on a timeframe of 12 weeks and will therefore produce 12 caricatures. Subjects could include Gas fees, Carbon emission, community with a purpose and moer. Doing it in a creative way could have a huge impact, reach a greater audience and generate curiosity.

We will participate in a few after townhall sessions in order for the community to help us find subjects in which we can do some caricatures. This will allow us to talk bout actuality but also use the ideas of the community through our Caricatures.

In order to get the best results, we will get the help from Raz and Cole which are two Challenge team members from the Film and Media challenge (Fund 8) and part of Sustainable ADA, they will help us for all the marketing and advertising area of our proposal.

Here are a few examples made for Fund 8, and there is a possibility to check the rest of the work of Shlomo Cohen on : <https://shlomocohen.com/show/CaricaturAda>

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

Why is it important? Many projects are stuck on EVM-based blockchains like Ethereum and are looking for an escape. Cardano can be faster and cheaper to use.

The goal of this proposal is to reach out to the Ethereum community in a creative way and show them the advantage to come on board.

What does success look like? Projects who were either planning to or did launch on an EVM-based blockchain deploy in the Cardano ecosystem and can do so easily.

By providing the information in a creative way, we will be able to reach out to larger audiences with the key message to drive migration of projects.

What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

There are not any major challenges for the creation of the Caricatures.

One key challenge could be to set up the storyline, find key areas we want the Caricatuers to represent the strength of Cardano and the connecting line between each weekly caricature. This will be mitigated first by the vast experience of the proposers and second by having some community brainstorming sessions at SWARM post town hall.

All the interest from the Ethereum community need to be channelled to suitable “welcoming” channels. We will discuss this with the community at the after townhall meetup and come up with selected sources to share in our website, with the media brief as well once interest arise.

Another challenge we are considering is how to be able to generate revenue so the work could continue for a longer period of time. We will evaluate NFT models for it.

Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

The roadmap is straightforward

  • Brainstorming session with the community re subjects (week one, and week 5)
  • Preparation of list of media channels (wek 0-2)
  • One Cartoon per week for 12 weeks
  • Sharing on a weekly basis in multiple media channels
  • Add a section of the great migration in our website (by week 3)
  • We will evaluate in the process building NFT model for it (we are already collaborating with Cardanotrees https://shlomocohen.com/show/apocalypsea)

Get the help of the Catalyst community to find ideas of Caricatures (After townhall) Every 6 weeks

  • KPIs& deliverables
  • A list of media network
  • 5 - 10 media & community channels to publish the Cartoons weekly
  • Number of viewers is difficult to estimate, but we foresee to pass a million impressions overall 100s of sharing on social networks

Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.

Weekly Cartoon x 12 weeks x USD 500 = USD 6000

Marketing & PR USD 500 per month x 3 months = USD 1500

Communication with media, meetups, emails, website = USD 1000 per month x 3 months = USD 3000

Total budget USD 10500

Please provide details of the people who will work on the project.

If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

I find that Catalyst is an amazing opportunity for me to change the world through my art. I am presenting several proposals for Fund 9, I have some Funded proposals on Fund 8, how are we going to manage our work in order to be able to participate in the next fund ?

Each member of our team has specific tasks, for example Shlomo will be responsible for all the design of the caricaturesRazali and Cole are responsible for the marketing and advertising, Benjamin Is taking care of the administration that needs to be done. This organization helps us to be more efficient and will allow us to participate in the next fund.

Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

This proposal is highly auditable for deliverables and KPIs

With weekly publishing of the caricatures it can generate:

#views on social media (eg twitter likes, RT, impressions, engagements, profile visits)

posts using the hashtag connected to the collection eg #caricatorada

A weekly Cartoon will be shared in media.

As a deliverable, there will also be the after townhall sessions that are going to be recorded

A final report and ppt will provided to the community

What does success for this project look like?

Reaching out to the Ethereum global community that will lead to 10s of interactions with Cardano unities and communities.

Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

We have some similar proposals on the previous funds but this one fits another challenge
